My first career was as a window dresser at a large department store. Christmas was magical. Despite having to decorate several hundred trees I never grew tired of it. We would start building Santa's Grotto around May and we'd have a parade through the town on opening day. Loved those days

Do you like Christmas?

I do. For years after the divorce I didn't because my children spent the holiday with their father because he had a bigger family. Now, I cook and try to keep it simple but my niece comes down and my son's come to visit.

2. What do you like or dislike about Christmas

Christmas lights, decorations, food but most of all, family and friends. I cherish the memories of the past and always hope for that in the future.

I do like Christmas and decorating our tree with vintage ornaments and seeing people's light displays... but this year somehow feels kind of flat so just feel like going through the motions.

I am dating myself I know but miss the downtown department stores decorated with elaborate window displays and also never feels like Christmas without snow somehow.

The big department stores downtown always went way out on Christmas, you aren't referring to Fort Worth are you? Cuz that fits it to a tee during the 50s and 60s and early 70s.

Actually Pittsburgh that had a great downtown with the old fashioned multi story department stores...it was part of that era that went by the wayside alas....(yes I'm old I know....lol)

I'm neutral towards it, not something I particularly like, nor that I hate.

I like the drinks and the food, mostly. I don't like that I can't see my family, specially in this time of the year.

I only dislike one thing. It's when a relative wants to know everything happening in your life only to judge you.
I like giving what I have just like halloween but with presents and money.
Love meeting my cousins since I only see them once or twice a year.
