No, but I want to go there. And I'm not sure. lol

Anyone ever eat the worm at the bottom of the Tequila bottle? What happened, if anything at all.
No I think it was more like a spiky bug? And it was crunchy but tasted like alcohol.

Can you do the Salsa? 💃🏻
Never tried before.

of course there is the fun fact (however inapplicable ”fun” might be):

• “Celebration of the Mexican victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862“
i learned when i visited (and actually moved to) Los Angeles about 45 years ago that it is important to acknowledge the importance of this date being a celebration of winning a battle for liberation. liberation is so important.
and of course:
• “More popular in the United States than in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo has become associated with the celebration of Mexican-American culture.”

I’ve tried it many times. i’d say i fall in the love it hate it spectrum closer to the love it end.
And i’m just remembering now that as a little child my parents took us all out to a fancy Mexican restaurant in NYC and as i recall, i did enjoy it though i have no idea what i ate. they did have real attractive matchbooks which i gathered and brought home for my matchbook collection (removed and discarded the matches in the toilet btw). unfortunately my mother thinking that this collection was just the clutter of a child, threw the entire collection away when i was not looking. that made me pretty sad.

not sure. there’s nothing i can think of that i did not like and i’m never all the way near love. i do suspect that that stuff i often get in the frozen food section is not really authentic.

Never even had tequila. I do have a bottle of it on a shelf - sans worm however.
What happened, if anything at all. we will see what will happen if ever it does…

Can you do the Salsa? 💃🏻 do you think i, an 👽, could ever salsa? listen to my garbled voice when i say… Nope, nope, and n-o-p-e NOPE!!!

the last time I went to a Mexican based restaurant I got really bad food poisoning, so it's put me off a bit hah, but I do hope to try one again in the future when it's not as fresh in my mind.gh

I love these Cafe posts!!
I like Mexican food. Mostly tacos and quesadillas, but pretty much anything. I've been to Mexico once; we ported there on a cruise in 2014. I didn't drink the water, Lol. I definitely didn't eat the worm at the bottom of the bottle. And I'd probably break something if I tried to salsa.

How do I feel about Mexican food?
I love it!😍 My favorites are camarones mojo de ajo, tacos de la lengua, and menudo. My neighbors moved here, to Wisconsin, from Monterey, Mexico and love to cook and share. I'm so lucky lol
Never been to Mexico myself, would love to go though.
Growing up one of my best friends was Mexican and I fell in love with Mexican music...Los Tigres Del Norte, Tatiana, and my favorite band...Los Bukis. I'm a terrible dancer and I think I'd embarrass myself if tried to salsa 😆😆😆

tortilla with butter & honey.

Mexican food lol .. a staple in my diet always.
Fac place is a taco truck at 1 am getting my Carnitas and langua on!!
