Welcome to the Cafe Holiday Party - It is Friday, TGIF and it is almost Christmas for hose that choose to celebrate Christmas, and we are in the last 8 days of the entire year - Congratulations all - you have almost made it !
In proud holiday tradition , I am happy to provide a full array sweets, nuts, breads, and candies to all, as well as have a catering staff on hand for any cooking needs- so all SFers may all take the day off and do nothing but enjoy the day - bringing something to share is completely optional but surely appreciated - but your company is all that really matters so thank you for coming in today.
I am leaving in a few hours to go down and see my older daughters and their husbands, plus get to play with the grandchildren in a makeup trip for last weekend when we had a snow delay. I twill be a much shorter / fast turnaround, but getting to see them and share some gifts and hugs is all that I needed anyway. My oldest daughter has a baby that is 10 months old - his first Xmas and I really wanted to see him for that. She mentioned "he wont remember anyway"- my reply- "no, but I will....."
The goal for today is a simple one but sincere- to have a safe weekend and remember to be as kind to yourself as you are to others ... we all owe ourselves that small gift.
Happy Holidays to all that celebrate this weekend, Have a great weekend to all period, and thanks for sharing a few minutes of your day here at the cafe and on SF

* Depending on your own beliefs and what you enjoy, perhaps there is a Christmas Eve or Christmas Day church service that you could attend. Some services are beautiful with candle lighting and carols - even if they don't reflect our own beliefs they can be lovely. I agree with
