Well found the café shuddered on this cool foggy morning.. So have started coffee brewing and tea steeping and getting the fireplace going so is cozy and warm for whomever decides to wander in today.

In thinking about a question admit am a bit stumped as not quite awake enough but did discover it is National M&M day and Yorkshire Pudding Day....first a fan of needless to say second never have had so will leave to others to give thumbs up or down...
m&ms.jpg yorkshire pudding.jpg

Okay so back to the question... seems like a perfect day to be creative (writing, playing instrument, drawing, painting, etc.)-. and

So what do you enjoy doing and/or what would you like to try doing?
Me- As art history major I had to take 4 studio art classes-- where I did not excel shall we say - every week in drawing class...."I tried to make three dimensional" the pile of paper bags...sigh.. But on the positive side, I have just discovered diamond painting which found I really do enjoy as my first foray into something creative. I would like to write, and learn to play the guitar....

Wishing all a peaceful, relatively stress-less day.... filled with M&M's or Yorkshire Pudding .... lol.

@Kiwi2016 I am hesitant to open a cafe simply due to my fear of leaving someone out.
I like your Maya Angelou quote.

In a cafe I would toss an open-ended question or 20, one of which is how nuch empiricism has impacted society and in turn our distress in dealing with depression, suicide ideation, trauma, etc.
when i open the cafe
" i know it's been a while " i tag what i can and add everyone else is always welcome

Thanks for the tag @Kiwi2016 , sorry I'm late! What would I like to do? Well I kind of do what I really want artistically but if I was braver I would love to paraglide or to actually learn how to fly in a small plane. I love travelling so I'd dearly love to be able to afford to travel again. More than anything I want to go somewhere warm and swim in the sea because I started swimming again this year but it's too cold now. I've forgotten what a warm sea feels like.

I love Groundhog Day and that would be ideal - having so much time to learn all sorts of new skills like playing the piano for instance.

I love to sleep and read, most sciences, camping out, fishing, hunting and carpentry and woodworking. One thing I always would have loved to do is learn how to fly but the cost is pretty expensive.
I admire anyone who does woodworking. As part of my graduate school we had to attempt to make dovetail joints (not a pretty sight)....yes I too think of learning to fly

Yes I too would love to fly.... used to watch paragliders in western Pennsylvania take off...simply breathtaking...but admit I'd want a buddy. Yes me too as far as traveling....discovering "arm chair" traveling though hardly the same still interesting....i was lucky to have swum in the ocean off New Zealand now many years ago...will never forget it... and definitely warmer than when swam in a Swiss glaciar lake when was a teenager....lol....
And no worries no one is ever late here at Jim's ... :)
Wishing you a good day

Thank you for tagging me @Kiwi2016 . I haven't posted in a while. This cafe is so full of joy. I do like to draw but unfortunately have to work, maybe I'll doodle at my desk 😄.

Never had Yorkshire pudding is it, but chocolate is my fav. Hope everyone is doing as well as possible here. Hugs.

Thanks so much for thinking of me (tagging) @Kiwi2016 I appreciate it a lot! :) I thought of a few more people to tag, not sure if a more recent cafe has been posted, if it has I didn't see any tags for it but will check after. Not sure if these people still post here much or not but they are who I thought of anyway lol :p Hope you and everyone else are well :)

Some things I enjoy doing are:
Playing games, reading, writing (mostly poems), helping people, having deep/intense conversations about life, watching shows and movies, looking at art, eating yummy food, spending time with animals, shopping and organizing.

thanks much for the tag @JMG
and thanks much also for opening a café @Kiwi2016
seems like the café has been having more dark days than light these days. so i'll just keep wishing it was different and maybe that will inspire me to open one again myself.
now... yorkshire pudding: as taught by my mother is had with roast beef. its really delishious. and some of my earliest childhood memories are of enjoying it as an essential part of a big beefy dinner. I'm sure there are many on this site who are much closer geographically to yorkshire pudding's origin and can tell me if i'm right or correct me if i'm wrong. i have a feeling that @Sunspots may have some knowledge about this, right?

(as for childhood memories, these days i'm not sure how the whole memory thing works because i've unearthed these buried caskets in the dark reaches that explicity say do not open - ever! but they were placed so close to the things that i love like treacle brittle and yorkshire pudding ((my russian mother must have somehow been drawn to british cooking/foods (((yes candy is food))) )) so i have to be prepared for who knows what).

sorry, now i'll try to stick to the happier. @JMG you always decorate wherever you are so nicely and today is no exception. thanks for that too!!! 🌞

and let me not forget since you mentioned @Kiwi2016 a definite 👍👍👍 to the yorkshire pudding😁.

ok must add this:

these are a few scenes from a virtual walk with @FlamingoWrangler and anyone else who came along the other day. this track scene is my favorite in the park and there still was no autumn colors then. i'll try to pass by again today and i'm sure what's there will be worth another pic. 😁

it looks like the nest pic may be causing a bit of a problem and you may have to click the link to see it. hoping that won't be the case. 🤔

now for a cup of joe and something to go along with it. i'll be sitting by the window so anyone who wants to join me, please stop by.
