Today turned out better than expected. I called my service coordinator to see if she'd be willing to be my contact for my SSI disability review form, and she and I actually met up so she could help with the form, and now most of it is done. Yesterday, my friend that I recently opened up to thought it'd be helpful to me if I could have one of my musical instruments to play and realized that he was visiting his family in the county just north of where I grew up, where my family still lives, and he offered to get one for me. I didn't think it'd work out, figuring my mother had sold them, but it turned out she still had my violas. So they're meeting halfway and my mom is passing along my viola to my friend, who will try to bring it on the bus when he comes back to Pittsburgh tomorrow. (If he can't get that to work, one of his friends is driving out here sometime soon and can help.) Hasn't happened yet and could still go wrong, but I feel really good.
