Hi Folks,

After my breakfast feast (read: disaster) yesterday, I'm trying to not even look at food much today, though if @TheButterflyEffect comes through with her famous carrot cake, I just may be tempted.

So, @Butterfly @cgh0991 @Acy are on kitchen duty.

I think I may have some hummus and veg for lunch--yes I'm thinking of lunch before the sun is out in its glory. Help

Today, we have the men on clean up duty: @outlander @DouglasW and @beatdown. Get it spic and span, gents!

I'm trying out the carrot cake as well! Hold the raisins. Don't understand why people put them in cookies or cakes and call them delish. Lol

Making walnut chocolate chip cookies later today. Excited as have not made from stratch cookies in ages.

I made an appointment to see my counselor today and went to the appointment. She helped me figure some practical stuff out and gave me a CBT worksheet. I also printed out some homework so I can do that now. Had tacos after my appointment, then a peppermint mocha. I wasn't sure whether or not the drink they called out was actually mine because they put the wrong name on it. It was the right drink and that more common name is often confused for my uncommon first name, but I felt weird taking it, though I honestly should be used to it. Feeling a little better than yesterday but am pretty much equally alone.

Today I did some shopping and went out to lunch, so that was nice. I don't know yet if I will work on Thanksgiving or not. If I do, then that is time and a half at four hours, so not a bad deal.

Long day....feels like midnight. Knackered...but not sleepy.

Ooops. Didn't check in this a.m. Had a busy sort of day - appointment in the a.m. and then long time outside feeding chickadees. I had two birds sit on my head today. And one landed on the lapel of my coat. It was quite sweet. I am just overwhelmed by the trust they show me. I think that's why I keep going back. They're my little friends.

Today was as routine as every other day. Work, home. It's a cycle like every other one, nothing ever really changes much.
