Good evening cafe, im unwinding for the evening putting on my lavender diffuser. Putting lavender oil on my bed clothing and my dressing gown trying to relax.
Today was a good upbeat and positive day, I hope tomorrow turns out to be just as good. Going to try and get to sleep within the next two hours, have to be up early.

Wishing you all a lovely evening...

Tomorrow will be better because you are such a beautiful spirit !!! As sweet as this cake , no no sweeter ;) View attachment 8674

Good afternoon,
Thanks @Innocent Forever for the topic.

A quote that inspires me:
A man who as a physical being is always turned toward the outside, thinking that his happiness lies outside him, finally turns inward and discovers that the source is within him. Soren Kierkegaard

It just reminds me that everything that happens is not where happiness comes from, it comes from me. The world can't make me happy. I'm not really striving to be happy, so much as okay. I think happiness might be too much of a stretch to achieve.

A song that inspires me:

A little strange as an inspiration I'm sure. I just really like the song.

This is universally applicable, just nix the girl.
RANCID LYRICS
"Fall Back Down"
Don't worry about me, I'm gonna make it alright
Got my enemies crossed out in my sight
I take a bad situation gonna make it right
In the shadows of darkness I stand in the light

You see it's our style to keep it true
I've had a bad year, a lot to go through
I've been knocked out, beat down, black and blue
She's not the one coming back for you
She's not the one coming back for you

If I fall back down, you're gonna help me back up again
If I fall back down, you're gonna be my friend
[x2]

It takes disaster to learn a lesson
You're gonna make it through the darkest night
Some people betray one and cause treason
We're gonna make everything alright

Well the worst of times, now, they don't phase me
Even if I look and act really crazy
I went way down, she betrayed me
Now my vision is no longer hazy

I'm very lucky to have my crew
They stood by me when she flew
I've been knocked out, beat down, black and blue
She's not the one coming back for you
She's not the one coming back for you

If I fall back down, you're gonna help me back up again
If I fall back down, you're gonna be my friend
[x4]

COCK SPARRER LYRICS
"We're Coming Back"
We're coming back, we're coming back
We're coming back to you
We're never gonna go away again
Hold on a little longer, try a little harder
'Til we're arm in arm together to the end

[Chorus]
So remember, out there somewhere
You've got a friend, and you'll never walk alone again

Don't get worried, don't get scared
We're fighting to get there
Never doubt we're gonna get through
We're gonna run, we're gonna crawl, kick down every wall
It won't be long we're coming back to you

[Chorus]

We're coming back, we're coming back
We're coming back to you
We're never gonna go away again
Hold on a little longer, try a little harder
'Til we're arm in arm together to the end

[Chorus]

Anything that inspires or motivates you? Have you seen the goals thread?
Should motivate me (I had three dreams in my life and one in what I'm doing) but I'm not enjoying at all. On the contrary, I think I commited a big mistake starting this being like I am. I don't even care about what I'd get in a few years because I can't even manage thinking about living one more month like this, not to day three years... It should be fulfilling and it isn't, on the contrary

Speaking of Musashi, here is my favourite page. I wrote a little something about it too:

View attachment 8705

Musashi and the village men have slaved weeks after weeks to plow their paddy field. The land was barren; the village was dying of starvation. The only paddy field they were working on was their only hope. And yet after all that handwork, their hope was crumbled when they realised that the field couldn't retain water.

Musashi broke down. "Enough. Let's give up"- Musashi told himself- "It's a burden we shouldn't have been carried on our shoulders to begin with". At that moment Musashi badly wanted to return to a world where he would be sure that he was stronger, and that he would win. The wild ronin, the sword demon, the warrior became no one when faced with the force of nature, the place where he knew nothing and his brute strength became useless.

And yet, that's when the miracle happened.

Shukaku came over and pointed out a tiny puddle at the corner of the paddy field. "Hey Musashi, haven't you noticed? It's very small, but this is a success". "This part is a failure"- he pointed- "This part is a success. Maybe. It's like the earth is saying that the right part starts from here".
This part is failure, yes, but that part is success. Tiny tiny success , god’s sign to let you know where to start again. It’s easy to give up. But it takes courage and willingness to see success in your own failure.

“I want to be strong. Not to become strong”

Becoming strong isn’t always possible. You can’t win every battle. And winning every battle is not always worth it either. How many battles does it take for you to affirm your own strength? But being strong is different. Being strong isn’t about winning. Being strong is a choice. It is the courage that you take to be nobody, to start at zero. And it lies in the willingness to see your success in every failure, and to continue from there.

The right part starts from here, right at the edge of failure.
