Hi all today is Armistice day that marks the end of WW2, if anyone would like to leave a message of love for those that fell for our freedom then here is the place to do this. in the UK we have a 2 min silence at 11am

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning. We will remember them."

I didn't know anything about this until the other day when Freya told me. I think it's a nice gesture. We don't do anything like that here in the States.

Cities, towns and villages all have their own war memorial with all the names of those who died during WW1 and WW2. On Remembrance Sunday (the Sunday closest to 11/11) we have parades and lay wreathes of red poppies.

Hi everyone I hope you're having a beautiful day, angels.

In my city there's this tomb of the unknown soldier, and an additional plaque was later added to honour the victims of WW2.

Not that we can't have thoughts for all of course, but just fyi, today's Armistice Day commemorates the armistice on 11th of November 1918, so WW1. Last year was 100 years so I know there were some ceremonies and events in my country (with the King and Queen! yay), but we don't usually have parades, I think. It's also a holiday here, which I thought was the case in more European countries, but it's only the case in Belgium, France and Poland apparently.

It's Veteran's Day in the US today. The name was changed from Armistice Day to Veteran's day here a number of years ago. To all those living and dead who served......Thank You
