I'm feeling a bit better now so I decided to make a Jim's Cafe thread. So yeah, what happened on this day:
Anyways,
- 1743, Jean-Pierre Christin developed the Celsius scale.
- 1780, it was very dark during the day in New England and some parts of Canada.
- 2015, a crude oil spill by the coast of California.
- 2018, the wedding of an annoying celebrity couple, royalty or so.
- His death was by heart failure.
- He wasn't perfect, everybody know this. He smoked a lot but managed to quit around the last 2 years of his life.
- His lifestyle was as simple (or minimalist) as any common Vietnamese people at that time (1940s to 1960s), despite being a head of state and a political party leader.
- He was an investigative journalist during 1920s and 1930s, focused on the issues in French colonies.
- He was an inspiration to a lot of political events during the 1950s and 1970s, mostly wars of independece in Africa.
Anyways,
