One scene from one of my favourite movies has stuck with me for years. It's one of the few movies that actually brought me to tears...

Schindlers List - Whoever saves one life saves the world entire:

What a great movie , so sad that Schindler was not a hero , it was proven that he actually was a nazy , and he was forcing Jewish people to work on him . You can read that on Wikipedia

But there were real heroes who really saved many people , like Jose Castellanos Contreras , he was a Salvadoran army collonel and diplomat who saved almost 40000 Jews and Central Europeans from nazies https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/José_Castellanos_Contreras

Oh , I am sorry , it was not on Wikipedia , I read the material from Czech news , the historian Itka Gruntova claimed that Schindler was not a hero , and that he was a nazi . And it was not proven of course . I was just misinformed , next time I will verify the information I read , sorry again

It's no secret that he was a member of the Nazi party. And he was also a business man who saw an opportunity for free labour. I'm pretty sure that was his initial motive. But he did in time care about his workers. He gave up his fortune in bribes to keep them safe and black market supplies for his workers. He spent the last 20 years of his life being supported by the very Jews whose lives he had saved and when he died in 1974 he was buried on Mount Zion, a huge honour and the only member of the Nazi party to ever be given this.
