A day late and a dollar short......as my father used to say
Memoir.....I lived in Israel for a couple of years in my mid twenties....lived on a kibbutz and worked my butt off 7 days a week picking in the fruit groves and chasing chickens...20,000 of them. It's when I became a vegetarian, Lol.
When I got tired of that I moved to Jerusalem and went to work at Hadassah Hospital.....best nursing work environment I ever experienced.
I don't know much about my ancestors...I'm only 3rd generation and they were all gone by the time I was born. Some were from Austria-Hungary and Russia and another piece from Madrid. There was a time in South Africa for some on one side until they were run out during the Boer Wars and hit Ellis Island so I was told but who knows....
I read and speak some Spanish and Hebrew and know little bits of Lakota and Hindi
