I was pretty panic and hopeless in the recent days. I called those days "downs", when everything is just worse in general and my actions can be a bit too much.

The Ancient Cavern
You see a cave with a lot of pictures drawn by an ancient group of people. They are mostly drawings depicting various activities of this people group, like hunting and herding. What interests you most?
  • A deer hunt, with dogs (or wolves) following hunters
  • A grain (not sure what kind of crop) harvest, with cats chasing mice.
  • A harvest of fruits that look like oranges or lemons.
  • A group of people gathering by a smoking campfire.
  • A group of people butchering meat, cutting something, and put them in a pot. Cooking, for sure.
  • A small person playing stick with a dog.
  • A group of people making spears and bows, probably used for hunting.
  • A group of people making pots and bowls, probably from clay.
  • A group of people cutting down trees, and planting saplings.
  • A group of fishing boats on the waves, and people throwing nets.
  • A group people bowing to a seal, and offering fishes.
Well, the last one is suspicious but the seal simply said "Neaurgh. Blurgh. Argh. Blegg.", then walk to the nearest pond and rest.
I like your continued theme :D Always fun. *thumbsup

I think I'd be more interested in either of the following:
  • A group of people making spears and bows, probably used for hunting.
  • A group of people making pots and bowls, probably from clay.
Making something skilled with my hands has always been appealing, and gets steadily more so the older I get. I have this favourite fantasy (it would be a plan except that I doubt I will ever get the chance to do it) of when I finally get my own place I would make my own furniture out of wood, really sturdy and built to last stuff, unlike the flimsy rubbish you get in shops, MY furnature would be heavily overengineered to the point where it is heavy, a little chunky, comfortable, and absolutely indestructible.

My dad has some pretty hefty and indestructible furniture, it survived 3 rowdy kids growing up abusing them entirely intact, and I want something like that.

Thanks @johnDoen !

I guess all of those things are cavemen doing cavemen things, but the last one stands out to me:

  • A group people bowing to a seal, and offering fishes.

Maybe that's not a seal, but a strangely shaped living being who just emerged from that capsule above that I thought was a cloud at first...

In general, it's always fascinating to see pictures of cavemen doing cavemen things in caves, except when occasionally there's something that looks like it just might be aliens visiting us millennia ago.

I would say the group huddled around the campfire. I wonder what they talked about, in their culture, jokes and stories they told. What did they ate together...
How did they make the fire.. I did this a lot with my dad so its kind of nostalgic. There's something so primitive yet deep and spiritual about sharing a fire with someone.

I love the concept here, the small group whether family, clan, tribe and growing into communities with a varied collection of activities geared to the survival: hunting, fishing, building shelter and tools and ways to preserve foods. I would probably be drawn more to hunting and fishing since I have done those since a child and always have done wood work and carpentry.

Looks like @johnDoen took on what I still think of as my role. Even though I haven't been on here much in a year. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•
@Innocent Forever, I miss your cafรฉ themed threads. Do you remember when we went on the virtual camping trip? That was really fun and if you used your imagination it actually felt like we all went away together for the weekend. And @Emerald Hyperion sure knew how to make us laugh back then! Just a bit of nostalgia...

Thank you @johnDoen for opening the cafรฉ today - you're doing a great job with it too! The cave drawing that interests me the most is the person playing stick with a dog since I've always loved animals.

@Innocent Forever and @extraterrestrialone, what is a role?
way back when I joined SF, @Innocent Forever was always opening the cafe. To me, that, then was her role - as "Cafe opener". Those were the good old days!!! ๐Ÿ˜. Nowadays lately you've been opening. That's your role now! Hey! and these days are being pretty good too. Both of you have a special style people such as myself (and humans too) appreciate โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฝ!!!

I don't really think too much of that. I mean I posted these Jim's Cafe threads when I was bored from all the work, and only when I'm somewhat feeling better.

Thank you, anyways.

I still kinda see it as 'my' job/role which makes zero sense.
I love how things evolve with time.
It definitely was fun!
