What is your definition of a “perfect life”?
A stress-free, anxiety-free life!

What is the single most important thing people should do for the planet?
Bin our trash! I went for an excursion once and saw first hand how a piece of rubbish can harm the environment and wildlife so please please please bin our trash!

Do you listen to other people’s advice, or do you prefer figuring things out yourself?
Depends on the situation. If someone has obviously experienced something before then I would follow their advice but if it's something new, I'd much rather follow my instincts.

What’s the perfect day for you?
A peaceful, quiet day without any drama of any sort.

If you were born in another era, when would that period in history be and why?
70s. Disco!

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items that are not electronic or automatic would you take with you?
A pot for cooking, some seeds for crops, a blanket

Are you a cat or a dog person, and why?
Cat! But I like dogs too

What was your biggest “facepalm” moment?
Can't think of any right now actually haha. But there must be one.

If you were in a band, what instrument would you play?
Ok this is odd but despite being almost tone deaf I actually play the guitar. I cannot play by ear obviously, need chords so I'll never excel in it. If i was in a band I guess I'll pick drums.

Look after it

I take a lot of people's advice, often without them knowing as it is from internet searches and corresponding forums and discusssion sites, and also from YouTube videos. There is a whole wealth of support and instructions on how to do practically anything online and all I have to do if I'm struggling with something is search for it and find help. I also take advice from my family members.

What’s the perfect day for you?

Dominos pizza, chilled pepsi max, vape, playing a video game and watching a film/tv show, listening to music, reading news or book. It's not much but it doesn't take a lot to keep me happy.

If you were born in another era, when would that period in history be and why?

It would be the 60's as I would grow up in the decade where music started to become something special. I would get to see massive societal changes and advancements in technology and science over the next 50 years and get to experience films like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Alien and many, many more in the cinema. But if I had a choice between being born when I was (90's) or the 60's I would choose the 90's.

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items that are not electronic or automatic would you take with you?

A shaving mirror, can of gasoline/oil, as big a container of water I am allowed to carry. We were given this problem at an induction day for one of the uni's I was thinking of joining. There were 15 items to rank from best to worst. I believe these 3 were the most important but our group chose the gun, the bottle of whiskey and something else

Probably a dog person

We do not talk about that

good morning @britishbloke and thanks thanks. presently i am sort of mired in the somethingness of my life so sitting down and answering all the qs right now might be a little difficult at least until i finish my coffee but this one “buning” question demands being answered right now.

What is your definition of a “perfect life”?

my answer applies to me and me only unless someone/anyone feels similar but i do think people should consider it. the perfect life is to be proactive, persevere, keep on learning and followingly making it all the way. there are way too many what ifs in this to try and elaborate more within this reply, but the point is to just keep on going in the manner i described. if you do that, you will have what i consider to be a perfect life. having the friendships... breaking the bad habits... overcoming adversities... doing your part for world peace... discovering the cure for an illness.... all maybes or maybe nots. definitely a part but ultimately and regardless of how those play out, making it all the way as far at that might be, that is a perfect life.

being happy and calm everyday, carefree, not having any triggers or reasons to feel anxious or sad

What is the single most important thing people should do for the planet?
recycle? idk really

it's rare I ask other people for advice or tell them if I'm worried about something so I tend to figure things out on my own

What’s the perfect day for you?
one with no bloody anxiety or triggers! sunshine, good food, happy deep sweet convos with someone you're close with, not sure what else atm

If you were born in another era, when would that period in history be and why?
idk the 80's? looks cool from stranger things

a knife, a blanket, a torch? or rope or a lighter

Are you a cat or a dog person, and why?
cat person. I find dogs kinda irritating and overwhelming, they're too noisy and clingy. I like that cats give you space, but can also be sweet cuddling up to you or sitting on your lap, but I don't like that dogs jump all over you and won't give you 5 minutes peace following you around everywhere I find cats more interesting too, like they're funnier in my opinion

my whole life is a facepalm moment, I can't narrow it down

I always thought guitar looked cool but I think I'd be more of a piano or drum person in reality? idk

You're asking a perfectionist. Non-existent is my answer, so better stop seeking it. Now, for a satisfying life, one where you're good to all living beings, and where you have a passion.
What is the single most important thing people should do for the planet?
To stop just talking and destroying it would be a decent start.
Do you listen to other people’s advice, or do you prefer figuring things out yourself?
Both, also depending on the situation. I go by the principle I cannot fully trust anyone, not even myself.
What’s the perfect day for you?
A sunny day with a blue sky.
If you were born in another era, when would that period in history be and why?
History? Can it be prehistory? :p I like Neanderthals, so in their era, because I want to know why such amazing beings were extinct while Sapiens continued evolving.

A bottle, a notebook and a pen.

Probably dog person, but I've never petted a cat, and from my perspective they seem less fun.

Momentarily I cannot think of one, but it happens daily.

Vocals or guitars because I'm closer to that than the others (though I suck at both ^^), but in reality I'm a drums person, bass second.

I don't figure perfection exists so maybe making do and being content with what comes my way in the currents of life.

Cut down on plastic use. Its hard because although I would like to use my own market bags, the Walmart doesn't let you at self checkout also when I do grocery pickup, impossible.

Some of both I think. I'm better at listening now than I was when I was younger

A crisp clear winters day with no health issues and a nice crochet project.

The 1920s. I would have loved to have been a flapper.

Once back when I worked in downtown Fort Worth I stepped on a grate that was blowing air and my dress went up over my head. It was nowhere near as graceful as what Marilyn did and the people around me died laughing.

What is your definition of a “perfect life”?
Living by the sea (preferably in Greece) with a person I love and who loves me back.

What is the single most important thing people should do for the planet?
I'm not sure there's any one thing that is most important but being less wasteful would be a good start - eat what you buy not throw it in the bin, stop throwing away things that can be recycled, stop wasting electricity, water and fuel.

Do you listen to other people’s advice, or do you prefer figuring things out yourself?
I'm rubbish at making decisions so I tend to go with other people's advice but I'm trying to be more independent.

What’s the perfect day for you?
On a sailing boat, moored in Kioni, Ithaca sunbathing on the deck, wandering around the village and swimming off the rocks in the bay.

If you were born in another era, when would that period in history be and why?
I'd like to have been born around 1960 so I'd have been the perfect age for punk in the 70s

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items that are not electronic or automatic would you take with you?
A knife, something to start a fire with and some fishing net.

Are you a cat or a dog person, and why?
I have both so I couldn't possibly choose one in case the other one saw what I'd written and was offended.

What was your biggest “facepalm” moment?
There have been soooo many. The one springing to mind right now is when I was 16 and ran across outside school at drop off time when there were loads of people to witness me running straight into the side of a moving car. The poor driver was distraught and I was desperately trying to assure her that it wasn't her fault and I was absolutely fine while trying to pretend I hadn't broken my ankle.

If you were in a band, what instrument would you play?
Bass guitar because they're always the coolest and I'd love to be cool.

What is your definition of a “perfect life”?

I think I had close to that living in Dubai, years ago - sunshine, happy kids, enough money, lots of places to go. It's not the same now but something like that without the glitz would be nice. As @Sunspots said, living with someone who loved me and cared for me would make it perfect.

What is the single most important thing people should do for the planet?

Have empathy for all living things.

Prefer to figure it out myself.

What’s the perfect day for you?

Bright but not sunny, painting all day long. Or being somewhere tropical and beautiful with someone I love.

If you were born in another era, when would that period in history be and why?

I was born in the 60's, a teenager in the 70's and enjoyed the 80's so I can't complain but being in my early 20's now would be good so I could go through it again with Kpop!

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items that are not electronic or automatic would you take with you?

A tweezers, paints/canvas (I know that's cheating!) my migraine tablets.

Cats because they are very sensitive and look after themselves.

What was your biggest “facepalm” moment?

Can't think of my biggest. Something came to me this week - the time I was getting off a packed train with luggage. No-one let us out of our seats so we were last off and my son put one huge case on the platform and came back to help me with the next and the doors closed and pulled away with the suitcase on the platform. I pushed the emergency button. I still come out in a sweat thinking about how embarrassed I was. My excuse was it was at the height of security paranoia - I had visions of the suitcase being thought of as a device and getting blown up!

If you were in a band, what instrument would you play?

Bass. It's definitely the sexiest and I usually fancied the bass player.

What is your definition of a “perfect life”?

A perfect life to me is finding comfort in the people & experiences that are part of daily life. I guess appreciating the positivity in the small things has hints of perfection. The perfect life in my eyes is not just comfort but truly enjoying what we are capable of doing & what we find, even if some sees it as time wasted, if that makes sense.

What is the single most important thing people should do for the planet?

Being most excellent. Not just to each other & ourselves but the world & the steps taken throughout our individual lives.

Do you listen to other people’s advice, or do you prefer figuring things out yourself?

Yes, I am very open minded, However, it is more of a tool to help build my own perspectives with how I feel & think. Its nice to hear what others think though, just to see a different side.

Any day I can smile & appreciate the beauty of life, even with all the nastiness.

If you were born in another era, when would that period in history be and why?

Probably be born in the 60s, so I can hangout in the 70s & 80s, really embrace & observe the music & the beginning of different movements.

Aw hell, where do I begin. I guess everytime I watch the news & hear about the world I always have a huge mental facepalm, especially with all the seperation we have constantly found ourselves in. Just makes me shake my hea, all of it...

Well I am already a bassist Lol. I actually used to have a punk band years ago. I guess Id continue playing bass. I am down for musical versatility though.
