Well, I promised to make a Jim's Cafe thread. It's somewhat better in terms of feeling and all that. The work I hate is about to end, and there was a rain to cool down the summer heat in my city just few minutes ago.

Well, nothing else catches my interest in Wikipedia list of events happened today, except for the discovery of Mississippi River, a victory of my country against a quarter of Mongol Empire, and the birthday of Kristen Stewart.

The Beach
You see yourself in a beach and three other people, and a seal, sitting by a campfire. They welcome you to join them, who are the knight, the sage, the bard, and of course the seal.
  • The knight asks: "Whom or what do you fight for?"
  • The sage asks: "What is the meaning of your life so far?"
  • The bard asks: "What will be told about you?"
  • The seal asks: "Geagh. L'egg. Fibsch. D'egh. Murph." (literal seal noises)
It's up to you how to answer them. They will have to leave by the morning, as adventure waits for no one, except for the seal. The knight thought it was a boulder at first sight.

Cool cafe @johnDoen ty for opening it. Tags def. help more people be aware that it's been posted so I'll tag some people. Another one was also posted a couple hours later (yours was technically posted first) so yay I'm so happy there's 2 today! :) Ok here's some tags, then I'll answer those q's (fun & cute theme, love it!) :) Tags: @Autumn1973 @1964dodge @MisterBGone @adamjam @Road to Nowhere @Kira @Lane (will do more in another post) ;)

The knight asks: "Whom or what do you fight for?"
Good. Good things, people, places. Just...good things. Everything that is already right, keeping it right and doing my best to do no harm to anyone or anything. That being said, if harm is done to me first...well...after a certain point I will fight back to bring things back to a more fair/equal/even balance (as much as I possibly can anyway). Maybe it's kinda lame to say "love" but I think I fight for that as well.

The sage asks: "What is the meaning of your life so far?"
No idea.

The bard asks: "What will be told about you?"
Told? About me?! Lol. Good one. Highly doubt anyone will ever "tell" anything about me, other than wow was she ever an annoying, pointless mistake of an idiotic waste of space on this planet. Whatever. It's fine. I'm so over it it's not even funny, I refuse to feel shame no matter how much I'm hated or otherwise unappreciated and unwanted, it does not make it true even if everyone really does think that about me. I need to just continue to try as hard as I can to not care at all. Maybe it will be a lifetime's work, but I will never give up on it. :)

Thanks @johnDoen for opening (first lol) and @JMG for tagging me. I agree, tags are very useful because people don’t necessarily look for cafes.

Whom or what do you fight for?
Not much these days, I have what I need.

What is the meaning of your life so far?
Enjoying it as much as possible.

What will be told about you?
That would be interesting to know.

Geagh. L'egg. Fibsch. D'egh. Murph.

Thank you for tagging me!
“Whom or what are you fighting for?”
— I’m fighting for equality of other people. I just want everyone to live in peace and harmony, without hating each other.

“What is the meaning of your life so far?”
— I think there isn’t a clear or even singular meaning. Some things that come up off the top of my head are: helping others, supporting people, and speaking up against bad people/hate/etc. Also, for me to be happy.

“What will be told about you?”
— That’s not something I thought about before. If I had to say, then it would be breaking the cycle of having to follow societal standards which put people into a cookie cutter cutout in my family. Maybe that I’m genuinely listening to my heart, rather than listening to people who want me to be just like them? And maybe also that I’m actively trying to help others, and especially groups that have it harder than me. Maybe my optimism and ability to see good in people, or maybe that I’m hopeful for a better future. I’m not entirely sure, but I hope that I’m remembered for these things. :)

  • Whom or what do you fight for?"
Survival, for dreams, for hopes, for a chance at a better tomorrow
  • What is the meaning of your life so far?"
I do not really know if I have had meaning so far, maybe that is still to come
  • What will be told about you?"
Harrow was a man of good humor I would hope.
  • The seal asks: "Geagh. L'egg. Fibsch. D'egh. Murph.
Harrow asks: English Mr. Seal, do you speak it?

  • The knight asks: "Whom or what do you fight for?" Family and friends. A better life and happiness.
  • The sage asks: "What is the meaning of your life so far?" Not really sure, it doesn't seem to have much meaning at all.
  • The bard asks: "What will be told about you?" Probably not much good.
  • The seal asks: "Geagh. L'egg. Fibsch. D'egh. Murph." Hmm I must be on acid then.

Huh, this is kinda out there in so far as presentation is concerned :) Nice.

To the Knight: I fight to be net positive in the world, and to help and protect those I care about.
To the Sage: The meaning of my life so far has been pain. No great trauma, no great enemy just pain. My experience and endurance of it, my search to understand it, and my use of that experience and understanding to help in the fight.
To the Bard: Probably not that much. Those stories of me that are the kind meant to be told are either amusing and anecdotal, or by way of complaint. Those stories of me worth hearing are not the kind meant to be told.
To the Seal: Eeaarh, gGraaarug, bbbbbrrfff.

  • The knight asks: "Whom or what do you fight for?" I don't fight much for causes, too many of them. For people my family and those incapable of fighting for themselves. Done that once in my life where I was the sheepdog in the wolf, sheep and sheepdog scenario.
  • The sage asks: "What is the meaning of your life so far?" I am still trying to figure that one out. LOL
  • The bard asks: "What will be told about you?" He was goofy I hope. :)

The knight asks: "Whom or what do you fight for?
the knight is just a trick name for night and darkness. and i tell it that i fight for those fighting the undertow (all along knowing that the knight will only laugh at my efforts) and i wonder, must i still wait for morning?

The sage asks: "What is the meaning of your life so far?" the sage... is it a wise person or a fragrant herb? either way, is it really wisdom being used by asking me such a question - rather than guiding me into an new and better awakening?

The bard asks: "What will be told about you?" what will be told is that write all i want, i’ll never write a real poem and worse, i’ll never awaken to understanding why.

The seal asks: "Geagh. L'egg. Fibsch. D'egh. Murph."
(literal seal noises) the seal is really who itt is. ah, and a true conversationalist at that - who takes me at face value and expects nothing more. i will answer with nothing that deep only because i have finally fallen asleep.

morning arrives and the first three are still going nowhere but expecting me to make the coffee. they complain that i sleep; that i do not treat my guest well at all. i look to the seal but just now the seal is already long gone, off to another world and all i can do is wonder who i really am.
