Was looking for my morning joe and alas found all windows shuttered at the cafe...so have started the coffee brewing, tea steeping, and hot chocolate gently simmering for one and all....

So today is National Chocolate Covered Anything Day
covered chocolate day.jpg

When it comes to chocolate I am up for just about anything. So what is strangest thing and favorite thing you have eaten that was chocolate covered? I know not a very deep question for the day but hope you'll excuse me as low on caffeine (i.e. none yet)....

Me... chocolate covered ants - chocolate covered strawberries

Also today is National Ugly Sweater Day...

So as far as ugly sweaters go...alas had a great aunt who loved to knit....need I say more. But was a good grand-niece saved the sweaters just for her visits after much encouragement from my mom.... lol.... So share your Christmas Story sweater or bunny outfit....

Wishing all a wonderful Friday....weekend .....

I really never wear sweaters, it doesn't have anything to do with their being ugly or not. I do wear a fleece just about every day though. I think the fact that it's got a zipper makes it a lot more convenient to wear.

That was sweet of your great aunt to knit you sweaters :)

Thanks for the tag, @Kiwi2016 !

Umm, “chocolate covered ants” ???? NO WAY !!!! :D (I know they are a real thing. I just wouldn’t be able to do it. :D)

I do enjoy chocolate covered truffle innards — raspberry, mocha, chocolate, orange. And chocolate covered almonds are good. At school, I enjoyed chocolate covered coffee beans, a real caffeine rush!

The most Christmassy sweater I recall was this vest. (I actually found a picture of it online!) I never thought it was ugly. I still don’t. I always felt pretty in it.…kind of country and sweet.

I’m with you @Lady Wolfshead — cotton sweaters are great! :) I love that blue one in your post!

A Happy Friday to all, and even better with chocolate. :) I have never worn sweaters that much either, now thermal underwear is my thing and I use and wear those all through Fall and Winter when the temps drop since I don't turn the heat up beyond mid 70s on the thermostat.

Thanks for the tag @Kiwi2016 :)

There's not much chocolate I wouldn't eat but chocolate covered ants??? That'll be a no from me. My favourite are chocolate covered figs. A shop nearby sells them but they're pretty expensive so a rare treat.

I always find Christmas jumpers too hot but I do have a couple of Christmas t-shirts. We've been told to wear Christmas themed clothes to work next week but I'm not sure either would be very suitable *hysterical

When I was at school a friend had the most beautiful mohair jumper that her mum had knitted for her. I was always telling her how lovely it was. When I was at her house one day her mum proudly handed me my own that she'd knitted for me. I was so touched, such a lovely gift. I excitedly put it on... It was the itchiest thing I'd ever tried to wear. After a few minutes I took it off telling them I didn't want to spoil it. I never wore it again *hysterical

Lol how did I not know about the chocolate covered day?! It's probably easier to say what I don't like, which isn't much. Some favorites include Lindor truffles, bridge mix, and anything with peanut butter.
I have an ugly sweater...well I think it's funny anyway. It says "Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal" and has reindeer pooping. :D

Aw thanks so much for the tag @Kiwi2016 and for posting a cafe! Yay, been awhile since there's been one posted (haven't really been keeping up though so maybe one WAS posted recently and I'm just not aware of it, will check after and sorry if one was posted within the last week before this lol) :p Oh and I have a few tags too :) @luminance @MAC0 & @Autumn1973

I think the weirdest thing I ever ate that was covered in chocolate is maybe a potato chip? Lol ya I could never do the chocolate covered ants thing as others here have said cos I've never really been very into bugs lol. Had no idea that was even a thing but ya that sounds like it would be quite gross and I could never eat that lol. Oh and my fave thing that is chocolate covered? Hmm I guess almonds or raisins. Don't like it on fruit of any kind, so ya can't really think of anything else that's chocolate covered that I like, I think those are my faves then. Lol. :p

I have a couple ugly christmas sweater shirts, one is long sleeved and green, the other short sleeved and red, both say the same thing which is "Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal!" lol ya I know it's been on tons of things over the last several years but I thought they were funny so I'll probably be wearing them or maybe my Star Wars Christmas shirt, ya I think I'll wear that one actually lol. For Christmas this year, I mean.

Wishing everyone a happy and enjoyable weekend too and hope everyone is having a nice day too! :)

All of you brought me smiles as I read your posts this am...was so good to see you all in the cafe!

And now have a a few things to add to my list to try of chocolate covered things...one thing I did forget is dark chocolate honeycomb....it's heaven.

And loved all the sweaters/jumpers.... now that in the flatlands I too am a cotton sweater person as wool just too hot and itchy...think needs to be 30 F ish for it not to be itchy. And glad not the only one who has a sense of humor... know that I'm in good company.

Wishing all a wonderful weekend that's all that you wish it to be...whether decorating, baking, wrapping, relaxing, cleaning, shopping, reading, vegging, watching movies, listening to music etc etc... in the midst of the holidays always good to take/find a bit of time for things that bring you joy...

I used to love the mohair blanket my mom kept on a chair in their bedroom. One day I tried to snuggle it around me — same reaction as you @Sunspots. Itchy? I’m squirming just thinking about it! :D
