Witty....just when I swear I'm on a diet! Lol we are heading off to the mall soon with the group at work and I might find a thing or two that ive not had in ages.

Maybe gather ingredients for a classic dirt cake that ive been jonesing for a while with some gummy worms. Now making up a shopping list. To make those stuff.

Ill check back in if mission accomplished or not.

Hi everyone! So today it's a crazy heatwave here (AUS) which ofcourse has triggered a migraine  I'm so sick of the weather dictating my health. So, I'll be taking it easy today - there goes my Saturday!

As for the challenge, I bought some Kiwi fruit a few days ago. I haven't had them in years! I'll have one later when I can hold in down. :(

Sorry for sooking... I just hate being sick.

Thanks for opening this @Witty_Sarcasm!
I just got back from rugby. Had an awesome time. We were doing 3 on 2s and my group scored the last try of the exercise. I caught and passed a couple of times and the guy on the left ran it to the end. My other teammate on the line ran over, picked me up and carried me a short distance... and I'm not skinny. (The guy who actually scored was probably too heavy for the other guy to carry.) We did a lot of hard stuff, some of which kinda hurt and I felt bad that i couldn't keep up with everybody all the time, but at the end of the practice when we all got together in a circle around the captains to break down practice, the one captain gave me special accolades for how hard I had worked and how much I'm improving. I definitely see it too, at least for now when I'm feeling okay.

I had a burrito outside of the cafe today... it had been a while. (I got barbacoa because they were out of lengua :( ) Pretty good. (Plus a milkshake, but I get those way too much.) I'm gonna see what I can eat for dinner after my shower, but we don't keep too wide a variety of food around the house so it won't necessarily be a treat.

Might go to the gym tomorrow. I don't know. Even though I know what to do now, I'm still feeling really intimidated about it.

It's just, as I've said to a few of my teammates, a totally different world than the one I'm from. I had very little interest in sports growing up, so I'm just starting really late. There are a lot of people there who have been working out for much longer or even just are a lot better than me at athletic stuff and can lift a lot more than me and I sometimes feel like I'm being judged and that I'm pathetic. It's just really difficult for me.

Ok man, I don't want to minimize this but lemme put this in another light.
I play guitar but not well. I am too self conscious to play in front of others but I want to do a song for my wife for valentines day. What's your advice?
Practice! Practice more. And then suck it up & do it anyway. Right?
So in the same way this is how the gym is. You've got to GO in order to build up & get to where the others are - which is seriously over rated anyway... you're you. And I gotta tell you, unless you're in high school, which your writing says I don't think you are, no one is paying much attention to what you're doing. Do get your butt in there & do your thing. They're not as interested in you as you are, I *promise*.

I learned this because I used to be just like you. No kidding.

Thanks for opening @Witty_Sarcasm :D

@Kira75 hope you're feeling better!

Today was weird for me. Went to visit my brother and we chatted. Sister-in-law comes home and suddenly everyone's ready for bed (at 7pm) I'm politely shooed out the house. Whoops

Today's challenge? Well the past couple days I've been trying new foods: tapenade and fancy cheese. Never had havarti before and now I'm a big fan!

Thanks to all the well wishers!

@WatchingPlanesFlyBy I discovered Havarti cheese about 6 months ago. Mmmmm... I put it on my pizzas along with bocconcinni (bad spelling but you know what I mean!)

@avalanchefan95 A song for your wife for Valentine's Day?? That's soooo romantic! It's great to know that still after all these years together you are making such a romantic effort! She's a lucky woman!

@baywasp Keep your chin up! Actually, hold your head up high! You're doing a great job! Please don't compare yourself to others. You're very inspirational!

@DrownedFishOnFire Cake.... mmmm! I have had kiwi fruit before but not in several years. Actually, my son just cut me up an orange. What a lovely boy! He's super helpful when I'm not well. Anyway...

Lol... sorry :( Opps... Well it sounded romantic while it lasted. It sounded too good to be true actually. Damn! :p
