Good Morning one and all (or afternoon, evening, middle of the night depending on where you are)....

So taking Walker's plea to heart...have found the key to the café under the flower pot... so am opening the doors for one and all.

Coffee is brewing...tea is steeping... warm pastries are just about to come out of the oven....



So to the question... Given that is Friday here at last...what are everyone's plans for weekend? And for those already in midst of weekend...share what you've been up to?

Me, tomorrow taking my mother-in-law's painting and two of my grandmother's paintings looked at for potential conservation cleaning , swimming of course and if motivated houswork ()

I'd love a coffee and a pastry. It's 5pm here and my tummy is rumbling as I've been so busy today I've forgotten to eat anything! At least I remembered to feed the pooch.

Tomorrow I'll be doing some more clearing out at my late mums house and taking a car load to the recycling centre

Sunday I'm going to potter around at home - do a bit of cleaning, mow the lawn (if it's dry enough) and watch some crappy TV.

Keeping you in my thoughts as know how difficult that is...we just finished putting up some of Harold's mom's paintings she did in the front bedroom....bittersweet.

Think positively maybe there will actually be something of worth on TV (lol...)...

No tea for me, but milk is always welcome. I was already busy today running errands and finishing up household chores. I may go to the grocery store and pick up BBQ tomorrow and have leftovers this upcoming week.

A family friend is taking my mom to church, and I'll be there for support. It might help her in what she is going through now. Then I will do some shopping and buy things that I like.

What am I doing this weekend? Hmm.. it's already Sunday early morning (midnight) here. I've just been staying home. I may go to the salon to have a haircut (it's just me needing to trim my hair every month.. supposedly), but I would probably do that on a weekday. Also need to call the airconditioner or whatever shop since the aircon in my bedroom is already due for cleaning after 6 months. But then, I might just do it on weekdays. It's a boring weekend or Sunday for me lol.

Thanks so much for posting this cafe and tagging me @Kiwi2016 Hope you’re well.
Plans for the weekend were and still are relaxing as much as I can after volunteering 2 nights in a row at a dinner mission near me. The organization provides a free dinner every night to those who are either homeless or living in poverty. My friend and I have mostly been doing the serving of the food and it’s been good. I wish I was a bit more outgoing to make the socializing part easier but that’s always been quite a challenge for me. Hoping with time and exposure to the place that being more social and confident will come. Just have to be patient I know, have lived a very socially avoidant life so it makes sense it would feel uncomfortable til I adjust to it all.

Anyway I’m also looking forward to celebrating thanksgiving with my sis tomorrow (yup, our celebration of it here in Canada is in October). Guess that’s all for now but hope everyone has a nice day!

Oh, I'm sorry I missed that. I love this kind of event! As a rule, all my evenings are free and I often go to new places to dispel boredom. Will there be anything else like it in the near future?

we used to have a jim's cafe almost every day and hopefully we can get back to that.

Glad to see you with us and I hope that you keep posting with us. The Cafe parts pop up as someone has one to share, so they are a fairly regular/semi regular thing and always fun, and there are other sections where you can find similar threads and posts.
