Hey
@Angie, doing well with the questions once again. Thanks for opening, and thanks to
@JMG for tagging me.

And happy birthday too, JMG.

Do you like puzzles? Why or why not?
I do. I find something really satisfying about solving a well-designed puzzle. It's enjoyable, doing a pure test of your ability to incorporate and interpret the information that you've been given. I've actually recently been thinking of reinstalling and playing more of an escape room simulator i got into a while back. I think it's been long enough since i last played it i even forgot all the solutions to the rooms i previously completed.
Crossword, sudoku, word search?
I like crosswords, and sudoku, but i'm not a big fan of wordsearches. No shade to people who do like them, but they're a bit basic for me - it's all pattern recognition, no critical thinking skills required.
I can enjoy jigsaws, but i find they're in a space between the pure pattern recognition of a wordsearch, and the more complex thought processes required in something like a crossword, so my enjoyment's kinda limited. Plus i play enough games where some of the puzzles are basically piecing together a jigsaw, so that itch gets scratched a little too much if anything.
those frustrating little wooden things you take apart and put together?
I don't really like those, because i don't see the point in unsolving the puzzle so you can solve it again. If you remember how you solved it the first time, it's not critical thinking at that stage, it's memory retention. And there can be fun in memory retention challenges, but i don't think those things are how you do it.
