Hello SF family, I hope this finds you well as you travel your journey.

Today I thought we'd talk about ... Coffee!

Do you drink coffee?
Instant, drip, percolator or some fancy machine that cost mucho bucks?
Do you use creamer in your coffee? What brand and how much?
Do you think coffee can contribute to anxiety and insomnia?

I have a barista machine at home, including a grinder and frother. I usually buy my beans from small independent roasters. That being said, to get to your last question, yes, it definitely contributes to anxiety for me, which is why my stuff is collecting dust atm. Insomnia isn't much of an issue for me, as my meds will knock me out no matter what.

I only drink coffee (usually a cappuccino) when I go out now. I must admit, I miss drinking it at home. I will probably get back into it sooner or later.

Tysm for posting a cafe today Angie, always glad to see a new one :) I’m pretty good today thanks, feeling a bit guilty for not going out a bit more and some other things too, but doing my best to stay positive about all of it. Hope you’re well too.

1. No, I don’t drink coffee. I tried to like it, but I just don’t and probably never will.

2 & 3 = Irrelevant to my non-coffee drinking self, lol :p

4. I sure hope not, cos the huge majority of the world seems to love it a lot. Would be a very unfortunate thing if that is true. I would think it would perhaps have a higher chance of contributing to insomnia though, with all the caffeine in it, but who knows.

Good morning all. it's still morning here. Waiting for a handyman to come and help me -actually he'll be doing i will help - install fireplace doors on my fireplace. My current set is bent and never closes.

I'm ready to book my Alaska trip. The travel agent dangled more discounts without saying what they were so I have a conversation scheduled for Monday which afterwards I will book regardless. Going to be exciting.
As for the questions.
Yes I do drink coffee. One cup/day although I do like the taste of coffee with half and half. I don't do coffee black.
I use the K-cups because I make one cup/day. Otherwise if there was a significant other I would use drip coffee. I started using K cups during Covid when the company offered me a K cup machine or a drone for working through Covid. I was the only engineer that did not select a drone - i have to be different.
Yes even decaf at night will cause me insomnia. More than one cup in the morning will make me shakey. So I have some in the morning and that's it.

I love coffee. Use a french press...need to get new grinder as now using pre ground coffee. Now takes several days to drink a pot. Couldnt face the day without it which probably isnt good. Drink it black. And sure adds to insomnia...but not ready to give it up...

Only if I need to be awake at 6 AM in the morning.

I have this coffee machine that can make latte and espresso. I would say I like better the coffee machine espresso than the normal way people do in my country (with coffee powder and hot water on a filter).

I think it has to do with the right pressure and the water temperature, it makes the coffee less bitter and more "dense".

I also like to drink coffee with sugar and milk alone. There is also this recipe of cappuccino that you mixture sugar and nescafé and milk and it turns into this cream that you only put water on it, I used to drink that too.

Do you use creamer in your coffee? What brand and how much?

I think I never tasted coffee with cream in my life.

Totally. I really don't like coffee that much because I always feel sick. But it isn't anxiety what I feel, it is more like some type of "anger" (?)

Once when I was finishing college, I had the idea of drink a full 250ml cup of coffee just so I could be awake for two days.

I felt the strangest trip in my head that day. I could see 5 seconds in the future. I wanted to fight someone. I began to shake. I talked with everyone like I knew what they were going to say.

I love coffee. I benefit from the caffeine. Usually Calmer (add/adhd brain). I drink it black. I use drip coffee maker. I have a French press & a moka pot I want to try.
Recently, at a resale shop, I found a good quality grinder for only 8$. Now I need fresh beans to grind And use.
I have tried espresso recently. I put milk in the espresso.
My son is getting married. I bought an espresso machine & grinder as their bridal shower/wedding gift. They love it.

Funny story. My mom’s been tired, fatigued (early 80’s). She hates help. i told her I’d clean her K-cup machine-(she has very hard water, builds up quick.) she insists she show me how it’s working. Ok 👍 . The water coming out is clear? I told her I’d look at it and clean it. I open it, take out the coffee pod, and it’s intact. a large portion of the machine is missing! She’s been brewing her coffee daily, but getting only hot water. lol. Moms! I tossed the machine and set up a new machine I got for backup. This morning she could taste coffee.

I have a couple cups of coffee every morning. Black. Drip. Most inexpensive machine I could find.

I used to drink an insane amount of coffee, as we do here in northern Europe, but had to cut back because of stomach problems. Worry that I need to skip the morning coffee also. Lately really been missing having a coffee in the afternoon. Must find something to replace it with. Maybe warm drinkable soup.

Thanks for opening and tagging me Angie & Cymbele.

Like Cymbele I'm a one cup a day kinda girl. I make it from a little drop machine I have and this is part of my morning routine. Light N Sweet is the way I drink it. I usually just buy the store brand creme and even the coffee Columbian or breakfast blend.

I think too much coffee can give a person anxiety. I know there are some people that drink it all day, but I'd be bouncing off the walls.

Thank you for opening the cafe @Angie and for the tag @JMG :)

Do you drink coffee?
Yeah, it's one of my favorite things to drink.

Instant, drip, percolator or some fancy machine that cost mucho bucks?
The usual drip one because it doesn't cost that much to buy one. :P

Do you use creamer in your coffee? What brand and how much?
Brands vary because I usually buy based on flavor. I add enough to flavor it.

Do you think coffee can contribute to anxiety and insomnia?
Yes, but I already have enough of that anyway, so I'm not too worried. :D
