1) Is there any specific Art or Artist that you fund moving or inspiring in these troubling times?

Music of all types for me from very old to more modern. Favorites can vary depending on what listened to last here recently Robert Johnson.

2) Have you ever made any forays into Art? Audio clips or photos would be great, Stories would be OK, did you ever show it to anyone? What did they think?

I do enjoy playing the guitar, both acoustic and electric.

3) When was the last time you felt inspired by something? What was it?

Very little really inspires or excites me.

4) Be honest, have you managed to read all this so far or did you cheat and go to the forwards version?

I was able to read it but for convenience afterwards I did cheat for ease of use.

5) Tell us something about yourself, no meaning needed, just whatever comes to mind.

I am fairly single minded of purpose when I decide on a course and never relent on my way when convinced I am doing the right thing.

Yup. Been in art all my life.

Drawings, sculptures, poems. I have many stories but sadly what people think is what they say, "interesting" and then they walk away.

But I do have the stories. I'll need many cafés to tell.

3) When was the last time you felt inspired by something? What was it?

I'm inspired by a lot lately. To break the hold I have over me. It has my mind quite overworked.

Coulda sworn I was reading the backwards version. oops!

Its a secret! It's full of meaning. It's on my mind all the time. I'm afraid of it. It has me quite overwhelmed these days and right now.

1) Is there any specific Art or Artist that you fund moving or inspiring in these troubling times?
Every night when I can’t sleep I watch tons of YouTube videos from different crafters and artists all over the world. Lately I’m amazed and inspired by several Russians that make beautiful stuff out of nothing, I mean materials that you find lying around and most people throw them away.

2) Have you ever made any forays into Art? Audio clips or photos would be great, Stories would be OK, did you ever show it to anyone? What did they think?
It’s more like crafting and I do it all the time. I directly show my stuff only to people that expressed interest in the past. They like it or at least they say so, and I’m happy to give them my crafts as gifts.
My place is full of things I’ve made, usually one or two pieces that I’m working on are right on the big table where they sit, so everyone that comes here has them in front of their nose. But most of my friends don’t even notice them.
Yesterday I started working on this, triple canvas and have no idea yet what will come out.



3) When was the last time you felt inspired by something? What was it?
Sometimes I’m inspired just by feeling good, ideas pops up easily, which in the current monotonous situation isn’t that simple. This early morning I was chatting with someone for the first time and it made me feel well pleased so I guess somewhat inspired too.

4) Be honest, have you managed to read all this so far or did you cheat and go to the forwards version?
Of course I cheated. I already have enough problem reading lol. I tried but it literally hurt my brain, ouch.

5) Tell us something about yourself, no meaning needed, just whatever comes to mind.
I have brown eyes, hate short days, drink a lot of beer and absolutely love blue cheese.

yugo is the worst car i ever saw. the quality was so bad in less than a year car doors actually came off the car when you tried to open them. and it was at the dealership more than in your driveway. yea the worst car.

I like and artist name Mienar. They create scenic works. And in a more traditional sense I love Van Gogh and the naturalist movement.

Ummm I’m shit at arts. I did the preforming arts for a bit but then I started sticking to stage management. I’m best behind the scene.

3) When was the last time you felt inspired by something? What was it? Yesterday, I was watching an anime. Makes me want to be better.

I cheated.

I have no idea what I’m doing with my life. I am so lost and I just feel myself getting older by the second. What am I doing?
On a brighter note, cause I feel like that is what these posts are for, I love biology and whales. I would love to work as a whale rescue person.

yes pintos were pretty bad also. they had a nasty habit of blowing up if hit from behind. the sad part is it was supposed to be one of the safest cars on the road but they decided to try to make the car cheaper.

1. There are so many it's hard to pick.
2. Yes. I draw, paint etc. I've only shown it to it few people they said it was good but were probably just being nice.
3. It's been a while.
4. I read some backwards but ended up cheating.
I'm closed off emotionally and it pushes people away.

- I guess Alec Benjamin (a pop/ballad artist) and NF (a rap artist).

- I had learned how to draw for a couple of months in 2020 and 2019. Since I've never been an artist type before, my drawings are limited to sketches, with a handful of notes as I am learning. I've never received a single positive comment whenever they are shown to others. It has been months since the last time I draw. Work.

- On the other hand, I work in marketing, so I have to design a lot. Are designs arts? They are more valued than my drawings.

When was the last time you felt inspired by something? What was it?
- I was motivated to draw by various Youtube animators and the fact that Van Gogh started drawing pretty late in life (when he was 28 years old or something), so I still can learn how to draw if I want to. It was in 2019.

I thought of drawing as a hobby to battle my addictions and suicidal thoughts. Turned out, learning how to draw is quite hard, especially when you have no one to support, encourage and motivate, and people literally want you to give up just to focus on work. The sketchbooks and the tools are still around whenever I am able to get back on drawing again, maybe there will be a tablet when I can afford one.

I think that, if you like it--then you should just do it (& not worry, or care about what anyone else thinks!). In fact, I'd say it's a safe bet, that if you felt bold/comfortable enough to do so - posting some of them on here, would yield, or garner plenty, or lots of positive comments / vibes & so on! Also, did not know thatt about Van Goh- (so there you go!) . . : )

i can't function straight there's now way i'm going to try backwards lol.

1. any art or artist : jimmy hendrix

2. forays into art : i couldn't draw a stick man properly but i do have a poetry thread. the poems aren't all that great but most come from my soul. and i appreciate every like and comment but i do it for me, sometimes it helps to bare my soul.

3. inspired by something : i saw a 65 buick wildcat full of petina surface rust at a car show. i think it was beautiful and knowing that almost all cars can be restored.

5. i love antique cars and big block performance engines

and when it comes to art i think some cars and trucks are beautiful works of art. the best time for beautiful cars i think is late 50s to mid 60s. especially those huge useless fins lol. even some of todays cars are works of art. but everyone knows how i feel about cars lol

Jimmy Hendriz rocks! Greatest guitarist ever! And yes, cars of the 50s and 60s were beautiful works or art, weren't they? I've always thought cars had more character in those decades. But my favorite has always been Corvettes of the 70s.

1. Queen/Freddie Mercury. I've been watching their concerts A LOT for about the past year. Especially live at Wembley. Always makes me feel at least a little bit better.

2. I used to draw when I was younger, and I'm still an aspiring screenwriter. Been writing for most of my life. My ex-wife is the only person who's ever read any of my screenplays outside of the production companies I've submitted them to. Little shy about sharing my work. I don't even talk about it with anyone. This site is the first place I've mentioned it since my divorce.

3. The friends I've made on this site have inspired me to try and keep myself alive.

4. I cheated. Didn't try to read the backwards version.

5. I fantasize about being Wonder Woman. My favorite superhero. I also fantasize about being Princess Leia in the "Star Wars" galaxy. My favorite Rebel.

There's LOTS of art I love a lot, would be extremely hard to pick just 1 of them. I like watercolors of flowers, nature, animals, abstracts and surreal ones are great too.

Ya a bit, have done some drawing and written poems over the years. Only showed my poems to a couple people, one didn't seem very impressed with them at all (said they needed to "rhyme" ya I didn't think that was very nice but w/e) and the other was one of my ex's and he seemed to like the ones I showed him, even thought some of them would maybe work well as songs (he was a musician, played guitar) which I was very flattered by Showed my art to some people over the years but I'm usually really embarrassed about that especially for some reason.

3) When was the last time you felt inspired by something? What was it?
Today, when I was watching Mark Hamill in Return of the Jedi

Yes I was able read it backwards without cheating, it was pretty hard though. I can write backwards, it's way harder to type backwards wow just tried it, damn confusing lol.

Ever since I was about 5 years old I've felt very afraid of living a boring "adult" style kind of life where I was stuck slaving away and having such a terrible level of pressure on me having to do such a thing to be able to live. It always felt like a complete impossibility for me.

Music is my favourite form of art. I often find some of the film music hugely moving. I can get lost in some of the sound tracks.

I’m not artistic really. I play music on clarinet but only what written on the score. I follow patterns, so I guess my cross stitch counts.

can’t think of anything.

Ha ha. Didn’t actually notice or realise is I clicked the spoiler button it would reverse so unlike most I read it backwards and didn’t cheat. I actually enjoyed the challenge. Always good to exercise the brain cells.

As well as working full time as a teacher I run a business from home. It wasn’t really planned to be anything much, just earning a bit of cash to subsidise my salary but the business has taken off and is now expanding quite quickly to the point where it is probably a full time job in itself on top of the day job.

I know how that feels, I have had SO MANY job applications rejected... in fact just the interviews I failed were enough that I could navigate London by stringing together the interview locations I failed (I found this out by doing it). It sucks, but even I got a job in the end, so font give up.

I am particularly amazed by people who create any type of art, because it's a skill I do not possess. Amazing artists are real "geniuses" in my mind.

Inspired to create art? I can't remember. Although I made some tiny drawings for friends, but nothing that took too long.

Not really. I used to draw/paint as a kid/teen, I learned a bit of guitar... but I don't show any of it to anyone, I'm too self-conscious about it. I also don't put enough time and effort into arts at all, and I'm a bloody perfectionist who struggles with "finishing"... which prevents me from really creating anything. We'll see in the future.

I am a functioning alcoholic. I love whiskey. Right now I am drinking Irish coffee. I do not let my alcohol interfere with my work, and I don't drive after drinking. Once in a while I buy a bottle of expensive whisky but I hardly ever spend more than $45 because I just don't like to drink that much money.

My artistic outlet is woodworking. THe work of James Krenov inspires me, I have 3 of his books. I look through them occasionally. I will never reach the level of art that he did, when he was alive his work would sell for the 10s of thousands of dollars.

My artistic pieces are woodworking projects. Right now I am working on a tool box and two jewelry boxes that use similar machine set ups so I am building them all at one time. I will post pictures when they are done.

James Krenov and George Nakashima are both very inspiring. They have since passed away but they leave their heritage behind. They used the beauty of wood, a tree that gave up it's life from old age, to show the beauty of the natural world around us.
