Good morning @Lane and thanks for the tag! unfortunately have yard work to do today but am relaxing with a cup of coffee. right now. My cats woke me up to be fed and now after they have been fed they are all lovey dovey.

1) What's your favorite summer drink or cocktail? I like to do icey smoothies in the summer

2) What do you like most and least about your city/town? I wish I lived more in the woods but it is close to them and the beach so I can't complain on location.

3) Have your goals changed since you've gotten older? What are some if them? I used to want to impact the world. Now I just want to retire and take care of my grandson.

4) How long could you go without your phone? What are some of your favorite apps? Probably overnight if I leave it in the office but no longer as it is my only phone (no landline).

5) Do you watch the news? How do you get it? I still watch the news through cable - I have basic cable just 4 or 5 stations. I would go over the air because I just watch the news in my state (1 channel) but cannot pick up the signal.

6) What skill are you good at? What skill(s) do you want to learn? I have great creative skills - I'm a dreamer but I struggle to put my ideas into reality. I want to learn more woodworking skills.

7) What would your pet say to you if he/she could talk? Right now she would say she loves me - "the nice lady that feeds us" since she has been fed.

I always need a coffee every morning to accept that I have works to do and a life to live somehow, through all the mess of suicidal thoughts I have. Yeah, I don't have a good time and coffee is a drug I can afford.

What's your favorite summer drink or cocktail? > Boba tea.

What do you like most and least about your city/town?

> There have been lots of development in my city, like better roads and better economy. Now, there is a lot of COVID cases and deaths found around the city and almost everything is currently shut down. I

Have your goals changed since you've gotten older? What are some if them?
> I wanted to be a scientist, but then a series of panic attacks. Now, it's just a state of uncertainty and a stressful job in IT for living through this pandemic.

How long could you go without your phone? What are some of your favorite apps?
> 12 hours. It's not surprised that no one wants to call or text me, except for the government, as they often send updates on COVID situation, call for donation to the national vaccine fund, warn about scams, etc. I don't really have any favorite app.

Do you watch the news? How do you get it?
> Yes, but more like binge watching when I have no work to do, for couples of minutes. It's mostly bad news. Well, a good news is that the donated vaccines from the US government arrived, I hope that's enough for the health workers.

What skill are you good at? What skill(s) do you want to learn?
> IT stuff, at in coding and analyzing how data work. I think I'm somewhat experienced rather than good at those.
> I tried to learn Japanese and drawing before.

What would your pet say to you if he/she could talk?

> Well, I don't have a pet.

1) What's your favorite summer drink or cocktail?

- I really love an iced cold good margarita or mojito!! For non-alcoholic Arnold Palmer (mix of iced tea and lemonade)

2) What do you like most and least about your city/town?

-Most would be the unique shops and that corporate hasn't completely taken over. Least is that the cost of living has skyrocketed so much I can't live here for much longer. Also, corporate influence is starting to creep in and push out some of the mom & pop shops/bars/restaurants that made the city so fun.

3) Have your goals changed since you've gotten older? What are some if them?

-My goals have stayed the same, just maybe changed slightly as far as specificity with the career I have chosen. I feel like I finally do know what I want to do with my life.

4) How long could you go without your phone? What are some of your favorite apps?

-Probably half of the day. I try to give myself breaks. I usually read Reddit forums or come on SF lol

5) Do you watch the news? How do you get it?

-I usually read it at work when it's slow lol

6) What skill are you good at? What skill(s) do you want to learn?

-I'm a good writer and problem solver. I would love to become a better cook and have made progress but still have a ways to go lol. I would also like to learn how to knit.

7) What would your pet say to you if he/she could talk?

-"Give me MORE attention!!!! Look at me!!!!!!"

Hi @Lane thanks for the tag. I drink very little coffee. Tend to drink tea more, with milk, no sugar. I used to like a latte every now and then as a treat, but I don’t do treats any more so no more latte. Too many calories!
It’s Saturday and I don’t usually feel great on a Saturday. Family are home and I don’t like the lack of space so I’m struggling a little. Nice to be able to come into the cafe and know you guys are around. *grouphug2
  1. What's your favorite summer drink or cocktail? I’ll take a cold larger shandy which is very refreshing. Used to like J2O as well but they are very sweet.
  2. What do you like most and least about your city/town? It’s a nice town mostly although the high street is dying. Less shops and more burger bars.
  3. Have your goals changed since you've gotten older? What are some if them? I think I lost my goals as I grew older. Less aims in life and just tried to plough my way through each day. Can’t really remember what my goals where when I was younger either.
  4. How long could you go without your phone? 5 mins. I’m always terrified of someone finding my phone and looking at it to find my search history or the sf app. What are some of your favorite apps? I use WhatsApp a lot, then probably sf.
  5. Do you watch the news? How do you get it? Rarely. I keep an eye on the bbc news app but I find the news too depressing most of the time.
  6. What skill are you good at? What skill(s) do you want to learn? My IT skills are quite good and I’m great at organisation when I’m functioning. Play clarinet to a decent standard. Skills id like to learn? Idk. I suppose I’m learning how to garden at the moment.
  7. What would your pet say to you if he/she could talk? She’s always hungry so it would be ‘feed me!’ She looks at me with what looks like a death wish most of the time but I still love her.

Have a good rest of your day and thank you all for being part of this family. Each and every one of you is needed to make sf what it is. *grouphug2Xx

1) What's your favorite summer drink or cocktail?

watermelon Mojito smoothie

2) What do you like most and least about your city/town?

It’s not as busy as a city, but and it’s a great place to raise kids.

I don’t like that our taxes are higher than a city.

3) Have your goals changed since you've gotten older? What are some if them?
My main goal is to have a gentle and quiet Spirit. All my life I was a fire cracker.

4) How long could you go without your phone? What are some of your favorite apps? Depends on the situation. I enjoy looking things up, but my favorite app is the Bible app.

5) Do you watch the news? How do you get it? I glance at Yahoo news, and use a weather app.

6) What skill are you good at? What skill(s) do you want to learn? Not sure what I’m good at, but I want to sing better, play an instrument, and sew.

7) What would your pet say to you if he/she could talk? If I were to go by actions, she (cat) would complain about how late I sleep in and whine that I don’t give her wet food enough. My dog I’m not too sure... he would probably beg for human food all the
Thank you for the invite.

Thanks for the tag @Lane :)

Here's a rather large but incredibly cute kitten. She's a black jaguar born where my daughter works. I keep asking if I can give her a cuddle but for some reason they won't let me *hysterical
FB_IMG_1625931383219.jpg

1) What's your favorite summer drink or cocktail?
A good gin and tonic with loads of ice is hard to beat. Unless of course a margarita is on offer. Or a Pimm's. Or maybe an aperol spritz. Ooooh a mojito is good too or a watermelon vodka... ;)

2) What do you like most and least about your city/town?
I like the fact that it's very diverse, multicultural and friendly. You don't have to go far and you're in the countryside plus it's easy and quick to get into London for music gigs and theatre.
I don't like the fact that the big corporations have taken over. All the individual and independent stores and cafes etc have been priced out of the area.

3) Have your goals changed since you've gotten older? What are some if them?
I wanted to change the world, do something significant to have a positive impact on people. Now all I want is for someone to love me.

4) How long could you go without your phone? What are some of your favorite apps?
Not long. Maybe a few hours.

5) Do you watch the news? How do you get it?
I watch it on TV, twice a day. I try to watch different news channels so I get more of an all-round perspective. If I'm particularly struggling I try not to watch it as it can be a massive trigger for me.

6) What skill are you good at? What skill(s) do you want to learn?
I'm not really sure I have any particular skills. I'd love to learn to play an instrument (accordion) and learn Greek.

7) What would your pet say to you if he/she could talk?
My cat Scout is very unsociable, she thinks she's far to superior for strokes so she'd probably say "Human! Get your hands off of me!"

1) What's your favorite summer drink or cocktail?
One that is chilled and contains at least 40% alcohol.

2) What do you like most and least about your city/town?
That it is relatively quiet is a bonus. Also with there being a main town centre a 5 min drive away with a generous sprinkling of restaurants and bars is another plus point.

3) Have your goals changed since you've gotten older? What are some if them?
Yes, to live in peace if possible.

4) How long could you go without your phone? What are some of your favorite apps?
Same distance as if I had one on me, the weight of it is insignificant to make a noticeable impact.

5) Do you watch the news? How do you get it?
Yes, I catch it on a regular basis. I normally get it online, tv, in print via newspapers and also by dead-letter drop from an active informant known as Mr Shhhh.

6) What skill are you good at? What skill(s) do you want to learn?
I like to think that I'm pretty adept at talking bollocks. As for learning skills, playing the electric guitar and bison juggling are two which take my eye.

7) What would your pet say to you if he/she could talk?
Not that I have a pet, but if I did and he/she could talk then whatever it would say, would probably involve copious amounts of swearing.

1) What's your favorite summer drink or cocktail?
Milkshakes by far, I never tried alcoholic summer drinks. I may try later.
2) What do you like most and least about your city/town? I can think of a cafe that I am crazy about, or the lovely rain. What I like the least? That could be humidity which is an enemy to my hair.

3) Have your goals changed since you've gotten older? What are some if them? No they haven't changed much. I always wanted to be crazy rich and a party girl lol

4) How long could you go without your phone? What are some of your favorite apps? Not long, my fave ever is perhaps Pinterest. I live for the aesthetics

5) Do you watch the news? How do you get it?
No not really, I follow BBC's insta page in my native language occasionally though.

6) What skill are you good at? What skill(s) do you want to learn?
I am not bad at drawing, I want to learn the guitar and improve my Italian.

7) What would your pet say to you if he/she could talk? That I should let him go out more often

Thank you for the Cafe and the tag @Lane
I drink bubble water and iced teas, sometimes lemonade or pineapple juice with the black tea.
I live in a city way too large for me, I think it's #4 or #5 in the US, and where I am which used to have a lot of easily accessible country is now turned into an unending Vastness of concrete neighborhoods & largely empty strip centers.
My goals have changed.
I keep a phone for business, taking photos, and staying connected with a few. I have stopped using fb except a small bit with community I know.
I listen to/watch news but keep it around 1/2 hour. NPR and BBC usually.
There are another couple of languages I'd enjoy learning some of and increase my knowledge base further of herbs and plants.
My two are 11&12 years old and getting some old age complaints that I have to just figure out how to approach.I wish they could give me details. These spoiled dogs would say "Can we please just move out to the country instead of you giving us only an hour or two a day to be out in nature".

Ty for tagging me @Lane and for opening the cafe, fun q's, hope you are well and having a nice day :)

1) What's your favorite summer drink or cocktail?
Root beer, I can't drink it anymore though, oh well, too bad so sad for me lol.

2) What do you like most and least about your city/town?

Most: That it doesn't have nearly as high of a population as all the other places I lived in my life
Least: The caliber of people overall (ie not very high quality, least the majority don't seem to be) and just the general vibe here, it doesn't seem very positive or hopeful which can sometimes get to me a bit. Feels like I'd maybe fit in better somewhere else but have no idea where on earth that would be. Maybe nowhere who knows.

3) Have your goals changed since you've gotten older? What are some if them?

Not really no.

4) How long could you go without your phone? What are some of your favorite apps?

N/A for the first q, some fave apps are Candy Crush and Tetris.

5) Do you watch the news? How do you get it?

I only read it, never watch, usually just on yahoo.

6) What skill are you good at? What skill(s) do you want to learn?

Not very sure about this overall but I've been told I'm good at writing and drawing so I guess those are some skills I hopefully have somewhat at least. If I had the patience and brains I'd definitely want to learn to dance and play lots of instruments, mostly to be impressive and where I could SAY I can play a bunch of diff. instruments lol. But ya the instruments I'd want to learn to play are: piano, guitar, violin, ukulele, harp and harmonica. Oh and I'd want to be able to read notes and play from reading them instead of just by ear like I've always played lol. In terms of dancing I think it'd be cool to do flamenco dancing.

7) What would your pet say to you if he/she could talk?

No idea but probably something like what's up bitch or somethin lol, she can be a rebel brat and sometimes a bit arrogant, definitely very fearless. I think she'd probably be a bit edgy with what she said and how she said it. Underneath that would be a very pure, sweet and loving kitty though, which she is imo :)

Thanks for the tag @Lane

1) What's your favorite summer drink or cocktail?
Milkshakes and Slurpees, frozen lemonade, iced chai lattes.
2) What do you like most and least about your city/town?

I like that it's a decent-sized city. It's not the most diverse, but it's much better than where I grew up. It's also fairly affordable still. I don't love my neighborhood in particular. There's not so much to do in walking distance compared to some of the other neighborhoods, there's a fair amount of crime here and a lot of the surrounding neighborhoods, and I've heard there's a lot of drug use in the area (even though it's not as obvious what I was used to in San Francisco, where I often saw people slumped over or shooting up on the sidewalks and drug deals took place out in the open and the dealers would just call out the names of the drugs they were selling as you walked by. Despite those negative aspects of life in my old neighborhood in San Francisco, I still kinda resent that Pittsburgh is not San Francisco and that I've lived here about twice as long as I lived there.)
3) Have your goals changed since you've gotten older? What are some if them?

I'm thinking about my career goals now vs when I was a kid. As a kid I wanted to be an author/actor/artist/musician/chef but now I want to be a social psychology researcher after I hopefully am able to get my PhD. As a kid I also wanted to have a big family because I thought about having kids as obtaining more playmates in a way, but now I know they are a big responsibility and I'm not really too fond of them, so I no longer want any children.
4) How long could you go without your phone? What are some of your favorite apps?

I could probably go a while, but I'm cheating because I use my laptop when I'm home most of the time anyway. So as long as no one is texting or calling I could stay away from it. I like apps like Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Plus I have a lot of fast food rewards apps because you can get free stuff sometimes. :P
5) Do you watch the news? How do you get it?
I don't watch the news. I usually encounter news articles posted to social media and make sure they come from reputable sources before believing it.
6) What skill are you good at? What skill(s) do you want to learn?

I'm good at writing. I'd like to become fluent in French and learn computer programming and stuff like that.
7) What would your pet say to you if he/she could talk?

My roommates' cats would probably tell me I should leave my bedroom door open for them more often. The main reason I don't is because my room is on a separate floor level from the other two floors, like an attic room, and my roommates said if the cats are up here all the time, they're going to have to put a litterbox up here and I don't really want one in my room.
