1. If you could meet any famous person who is still alive, who would you want to meet?
Prob. already obvious but anyway I'd want to meet Mark Hamill cos he just seems like a really nice, inspiring and awesome person and I'd want to talk to him about what it was like to be in Star Wars, what it's like to be an actor & just all kinds of things it would be so great although I'd sure be damn nervous lol.

2. Is there any famous person you admire? Same person as above, absolutely! ❤ ❤ ❤

3. What is something you want most for Christmas? (or if you don't celebrate it, what is something you really want right now?)
Just money really.

4. What is one of the best things that ever happened to you or just one of the best experiences you ever had?
Lots of things but especially when I was 14 & finally got to live with my mom & not have to deal with my wicked evil stepmother's bs anymore, when I got to go to Disneyland & when I went to Spain.

5. If you could have a choice of whether to be able to read people's minds or not, would you want to have that ability?
I think ultimately no cos my mind already comes up with hurtful enough things so if other people were thinking things that would be hurtful to me then I'd rather be protected from that at least. Although it WOULD be handy when you really want to know the truth about something & whether someone is lying or not.

Hard to say because there's many that I like. But Johnny Depp would be one of them.

People who have gone through struggles and come out on top. It makes me think it can happen to me too.

It's more of a case of someone I want, but it can't happen right now.

4. What is one of the best things that ever happened to you or just one of the best experiences you ever had?
Joining this site because I got to know some great people.

Probably not because I don't think I would want to know all of that.

Actually, kitty gots lots of famous people to meet. I even made lists of how to meet them. Its a long story, but it also keeps me alive that way.

Kitty still wants my parents to come to kitty graduation next year.

There's nothing I really want right now.

Watching baby turtles hatch and helping them get down the beach. And seeing an orangutan in the wild for the first time.

Absolutely yes.

Thanks for the tag @JMG I can think of several no longer here like Maya Angelou or Paramahansa Yogananda to start that list. I'll go for fun with Gordon Ramsey as long as it includes a cooking lesson or two.

....white water rafting and rock climbing were a lot of fun for experiences.

Maybe an on and off option depending upon the situation.

So now to the questions....

1. If you could meet any famous person who is still alive, who would you want to meet?
Meryl Streep as I admire her as an actress but more importantly as the person that she is..would be amazing to simply talk with her about a myriad of things

2. Is there any famous person you admire?
I have always admired Audrey Hepburn for her ability to be her own person and comfortable in her own skin

3. What is something you want most for Christmas? (or if you don't celebrate it, what is something you really want right now?)
I want to be moved into our new home with some slight semblance of order at least starting (movers come on the 21st)

4. What is one of the best things that ever happened to you or just one of the best experiences you ever had?
I would have to say one of the best things that has happened to me was meeting the man who has been my husband for the last 20 years. He was my landlord and after a flood in my English basement apartment he welcomed me into the "upstairs" and gave me Guinness and incredible dinners...and when he moved...taking a leap of faith, quitting a good job, moving across the country (with only 2 interviews lined up and no guarantee that our relationship would work)...and discovering that taking that fork in the road was the best decision I've ever made.

Best experience...skiing in Zermatt in July as a teenager...going beyond the ropes with the ski instructors in knee deep fresh powder with the Matterhorn in the background...and a week of hiking there as well...remember it like it was yesterday

5. If you could have a choice of whether to be able to read people's minds or not, would you want to have that ability?
I don't think I would want to be able to do that as if you are observant you can "read" people's thoughts but without being invasive to their inner thoughts if that makes sense....

Good morning all and thanks for the invite @Kiwi2016

To the first two questions, working in Aviation, I've met a number of famous people. For the most part they don't impress me after meeting them. Many are just downright mean people. I won't mention names and ruin anyone's dreams. But two did impress me because they were just real people like anyone else you might meet on the street: Joe Paterno (then head coach of Penn State football) and John Travolta. Both very open and friendly guys.

For Christmas, I don't want things, just time. Time with someone who is special in my life. That's the greatest gift i could get.

Best experience has to be holding both of my newborn daughters still under a minute old at the time.

Reading minds.. probably no to that. At times it could be helpful, but overall, no I don't think I would want that.

Happy Monday to everyone.... I'm so glad it's Monday because only 4 more days of work and then holidays.... 3 more days that is.

1. If you could meet any famous person who is still alive, who would you want to meet?

3. What is something you want most for Christmas? (or if you don't celebrate it, what is something you really want right now?)
I don't celebrate it, I'd like a break. A peaceful holidays, relaxing, with my head calm and quiet. Oh, you mean things? A new phone. Preferably a cool one, though the main thing is an awesome camera that takes good pictures zoomed up and distant and at night. My phone is a bit broken and can't return it although should be able to supposedly, and don't have the money for a new one. Also an MP3 player. Maybe a decent fitbit.

4. What is one of the best things that ever happened to you or just one of the best experiences you ever had?
I think the best things that happened to me are the acts of kindness people do, random things.

5. If you could have a choice of whether to be able to read people's minds or not, would you want to have that ability?
Nope. Let them live their own lives in peace without me knowing what they think.

That might be nice, but being able to turn it on or off whenever I wanted to would be even better. If you could actually read minds, it might turn out to be like the Midas Touch.

I celebrate Yule,... there is nothing I want. I am trying to get rid of stuff.

My first memory is this space gun I got when I must have been around 8. I could not believe I got something so amazing as a gift.

Yes, I would make lots of money with that ability.

Thanks much @may71 I just returned from a month in India.....I didn't even think about checking to see if he would be in temporary residence doing something with the public.... I've been in front of him twice, about 15 years ago and over 25 years ago in the states, when he was traveling. I heard a few months ago that he wasn't touring anymore related to his health challenges....maybe his health status has improved....

I wish I could think, I'm so tired right now...There are some famous artists I'd like to meet to hear them talk about their art. Can't think of an interesting answer!

Lots - people who speak out against injustice, who aren't afraid to go against the grain.


3. What is something you want most for Christmas? (or if you don't celebrate it, what is something you really want right now?)

I really need a lottery win! A car for my eldest son would give me my life back! And some money for a holiday which is very much needed right now.


4. What is one of the best things that ever happened to you or just one of the best experiences you ever had?

Flying to Dubai on British Airways and being allowed into the cockpit. It just blew my mind so the pilot asked me back to sit there for the landing. It was out of this world.

5. If you could have a choice of whether to be able to read people's minds or not, would you want to have that ability?

I noticed no-one has said yes, but I would! I'm very curious about people, I'd love to hear what goes on. I wouldn't like to hear what they think of me but otherwise it would be fascinating.

Good evening! I don't have answers for all the questions, but I'll answer the ones I do. It's Monday, so bah lol.
What is something you want most for Christmas? (or if you don't celebrate it, what is something you really want right now?)
To spend time with the people I love and care about.
What is one of the best things that ever happened to you or just one of the best experiences you ever had?
Might sound lame, but hanging out with my best friend.
If you could have a choice of whether to be able to read people's minds or not, would you want to have that ability?
I don't want to be able to read other people's minds. I'm not sure I want to know what they're really thinking. I do sometimes wish I could invite someone into mine. Even though there are things I'd be horrified to have out there, it would be a relief to have it all out and make sense.

--I would like to meet any of my favorite athletes from the Washington Capitals or Tottenham Hotspur.
--I admire Son Heung-Min (Tottenham player) for his extremely positive attitude and happy demeanor.
--For Christmas I'd like gift cards to some restaurants. That's usually what my mom sends me, and I really appreciate it. That and I need some new jeans or khakis that don't have holes in them.
--One of my best experiences is riding on a boat on Lake Geneva with one of my French host families when I was around 16 or 17. I just remember that very fondly and remember being very happy.
--Reading minds could really help me with my psychology career, and I just think it would be fascinating besides that, but I agree with @Livelife and @may71 that it would be convenient to be able to turn it off as well.

I don't know many celebrities- I really like Kesha and her music. I know that sounds kinda teen-bopish but I like a lot of music and I really like her style and personality so I think it would be fun!
2. Is there any famous person you admire?
I admire Martin Luther King. I really like his proud speeches about human empowerment and consideration towards others.
3. What is something you want most for Christmas? (or if you don't celebrate it, what is something you really want right now?)
I would like.. to go to a fun Christmas party.
4. What is one of the best things that ever happened to you or just one of the best experiences you ever had?
Everyday when my patients tell me they really appreciate me or that I am one of their favorite people at the facility or that I made them really happy. Those are good days =]

I think I would, because a lot of what people do I don't understand or I assume they are doing things absent minded or selfishly or to be mean and if I could read their minds maybe it would help me to be more understanding.
