Thank you @Angie for opening the cafe....

Well admit my husband and I are awful at patiently watching an episode a day...so ones we've binged watched were House of Cards - Poldark - Greenleaf - Ozarks - Handmaid's Tale - Outlander - Maid .... We tend to watch 3 episodes a night at least...lol.

As for a fictional character...if could be book/cartoon --- would be Tiger of Winnie the Pooh as could bounce on my tail...which just sounds silly and fun...lol.

Wishing all a peaceful and beautiful morning/day/afternoon/evening/late night....

Thanks for the tag, @Angie.

All of them. *hiding*shy I have a hard time with series…I get caught up and just keep watching and watching…Some of the ones I’ve really binged on are repeats of previously aired series, like House, Designated Survivor, Suits, then some of the international crime dramas. I’m also a news junkie, but we won’t go there!

As for what fictional character I’d be? I have no idea…There are so many to choose from and I’d be choosing for different reasons in each case.

What show on Netflix (or your chosen steaming platform) did you binge watch embarrassingly fast?

Binge watching is only the rare side for me. I bounce about on TV show with the way my mind wanders all over the map and sometimes off of it.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?

That could be a fun one and depends on what I have watched or read recently. Willy Wonka would be a good choice with how off kilter we both can be. Oddball from Kelly's Heroes also works for the unusual side. :) For less unusual types of fictional character Ragnar Danneskjold appeals to the pirate side of me and Josey Wales is another good example.

Binge watching:
This was before the days of streaming. Way back in the days of yore when movies came on platters called DVDs and Netflix sent them through snail mail. You had to return the ones you had before you got more. My most intense binge watching was with the Breaking Bad series. I would get all three DVDs from a season as soon as they were available, and watch every episode back to back on a Saturday night from early evening until early in the following morning. It was especially fun because every episode ended on a cliff hanger, and it was gratifying to have the next episode immediately available. I found the story line to be fascinating. My favorite part of movies/tv/etc is the character development. Characters that seem superficial and shallow in the beginning begin to become fully formed, complex personalities by the end of the series. I heard someone describe it as Mr. Magoo meets Scarface meets MacGyver. I can't summarize it any better.

Character:
It depends on the day, but more often than not it's Captain Jack Sparrow. Not so much because of the name similarity as the similarities to my past behavior. I was never in a leadership role, but I definitely had a similar relationship with rum and eyeliner. I also admire his creative turns of phrase, and his utter comfort with his excessive awkwardness.

I thought about it for a few seconds, because I'm one of those people who gets very obsessed with something until I can finish it (at least with series that I like).
but without a doubt the series that I couldn't help but watch chapter after chapter until the end of its season 8 seasons,
finishing it on April 20 when I started watching it in February of this year (I still can't fully recover from the ending to the point of having marked the day I finished watching the series as an important day)

Dr House! I think it's my current obsession and one of my favorite series, seriously, I can't believe that when this wonderful series aired, I was so disrespectful for not being born to be able to watch it!

Regarding the character.

SHERLOCK HOLMES, I mean, uuhm, I can't help but relate a little (maybe a lot to him)
Plus, what could be more COOL and FUN than solving murder mystery cases along with the BEST best friend anyone could ever have?? I wish I had a John Watson by my side too!!

Maybe I also envy Sherlock a little, I mean, he has a BEST FRIEND, who supports him and just understands him even though many see Sherlock as a "freak"

That in itself is VERY, VERY COOL.
I wish I had a cool friend like Watson and we could be cool together, doesn't that sound wonderful? *stars

*hiding I don't watch tv, I gave it up about 20 years ago. I was raising 2 kids alone and working, and decided somethng had to go. Gave my tv away. I did watch a funny show with my daughter, a couple of months back: What We Do in The Shadows. 😅🦇

As for being a fictional character; if human, I'd be Lucy from the Chronicles of Narnia books. If non-human, it is hard to choose, either Roadrunner or I'd be Kehaar, from Watership Down. 1727156637264.png

Hey @Angie. Another interesting set of questions. Thanks for opening and to @KM76710 for tagging me. *hug*hug

What show on Netflix (or your chosen steaming platform) did you binge watch embarrassingly fast?
My favourite show, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I absolutely binged the first 4 parts when i got into the show, and i've watched the rest of the show the moment more came out. I just hope they'll release part 7 all in one, cos watching part 6 in 3 separate chunks sucked.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?
Several good choices come to mind. One of them actually would be Jolyne from Jojo part 6. She's a badass.
Jolyne says fuck you.png
Although granted, she has a pretty rough life. But interestingly enough, her life's pretty good after the universe resets (Jojo is one of those shows where you can just casually say "yeah, the entire universe resets at one point").

Huh, yknow, the more i think of it, none of my picks have had great lives. I keep thinking of characters like Ripley from the Alien films, Rosita from Walking Dead, or Jill Valentine from the RE games. I guess that makes sense, they're all really cool, tough women, and strength is found and revealed through adversity.

Thank you for opening @Angie and thank you for the tag @KM76710

Binge watching.... my kids n i would binge DVDs because i cut out the tv. It was an easier way of helping control what my 3 autistic children were subjected too. And it gave us some wonderful family time. So the most addicted one we would watch was Scrubs! Then it became Big Bang Theory and Every single person we know says their father is exactly like Sheldon!

i duno about a character.... Anyone other than myself!

Thanks for opening and tagging Angie and KM. I do binge watch shows like Breaking Bad, Gotham, the Midwife, Narcos, currently watching the Handmaid's Tale.

I've given the second question some thought and came up with Wonder Woman because she's confident, beautiful and fights crime.

I tend to watch shows over and over again, it’s my comfort knowing exactly what’s going to happen and that the show is not stress inducing.

on Disney app:
Abbott Elementary School (my go to)
What We Do in the Shadows
Golden Girls
(not a show but) Princes Diaries 1&2 and The Devil Wears Prada

on Netflix:
Superstore
Schitt’s Creek (still on season 2)
I did binge watch Emily in Paris, The Crown, Girl from Nowhere but those are shows i would not repeat on watching.

HBO: (not a show) Barbie

I can watch all of these and I’ll be fine and still find them entertaining

I wasn't going to respond to this one, but you tagged me... We didn't have a TV when I was growing up (moral/religious reasons), and I still don't. So while I've watched some movies and shows more recently on YouTube, there's not a lot to go on. I'm definitely capable of binge-watching; I've done it with Father Knows Best, Dragnet, Dennis the Menace... Get what I like yet?

I don't binge watch too much, but I rewatched most of Community when it was on Netflix. The only problem was the last 2 seasons I had never finished, and sometimes I would fall asleep while watching for a while and miss something, so I need to go back. I think it's on Peacock now, and I actually currently have Peacock and not Netflix at all, so I could get back into it if I have time. Top Chef had been marked as leaving Peacock soon, and I was mad because I was only up to season 11 or so, but it seems like it is still on there, so maybe that was a mistake.

Can't think of what fictional character I'd want to be. Maybe someone chill like Frog and Toad from the Arnold Lobel books and just get to hang out with my best friend all the time.

Oh that’s a shot of nostalgia. I loved those books as a kid. One of the factors in my learning to read was that I wanted to read and reread them. I might go and see if there’s a kindle version at all.
