Ty for the tags @1964dodge & @Kiwi2016 :)

1. do you celebrate thanksgiving?
Yes

2. if you do or would like to what do you want for thanksgiving dinner

The classic yummy things, I always loved the stuffing the most but def. need to have a turkey and mashed potatoes & I guess some kind of vegetable so I don't feel so guilty about eating the other things.

3. do you think thanksgiving should be an international holiday so we can all give thanks

Sure why not.

4. do you think they start promoting christmas too soon, and when do you think the stores should start

Kinda but I also understand why they do. I guess ideally it would make more sense if they kept it like they did 20+ years ago where it didn't really start til early December.

I'll tag me :) lol...
I have been doing a volunteer Thanksgiving event for a couple of years it was with friends before that. I haven't thought about it yet this year and will probably be at home for this one....
I think the idea of a day of Thanksgiving everywhere is a wonderful thing...I don't care for a lot of the history associated with this one specific to the US.
I have a similar memory as some others......the day after Thanksgiving was the official unofficial kickoff of the Christmas decorations and stock being put out in the stores when I was growing up and it always felt special and exciting.
Now every year I get a momentary irritation when I see the first Christmas gear out in the stores, I think this year it was in September. Yuck.

😊 I remember it was always cold. I also remember that either Dad or Grandma always had an arm around me for warmth. Special times, Kiwi!
Thank you for the tag @Kiwi2016!

1.) Yes, I celebrate Thanksgiving. But, it's just a small affair. Don't visit often. Maybe, go visit my sister.

2.) Usually have a turkey with the usual, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc.. and, of course the pumpkin pie.

3.) I would like to see it an international holiday. So, we could all share it together.

4.) Yes! Christmas is promoted way too early! In fact, Christmas things are put out now. Seems everyone forgets about the Thankgiving holiday, and it's meaning.

Nice to see, you're from Pittsburgh. I also remember the windows in the department stores downtown.
Yes such fond memories of Christmas as a kid in Pittsburgh...remember being mesmerized by the windows and the "animated figures"....also just remembered that one department store devoted a whole floor to make Santa's workshop where they had craft activities etc etc for kids. Not sure if the same store but one had a restaurant where would go with my mom on our shopping day and always had to get the ice cream which had two cookies to make it look like a puppy with tons of chocolate sauce.

tags to come...mike
Hi Mike. I'm a bit late for this, sorry. I hope everyone's had or will have a beautiful Thanksgiving! I do't celebrate it. I don't necessarily think it should be international, each place and culture has their own traditions. Thanksgiving is an American/Canadian/others thing, it would feel weird here. We can give thanks at other celebrations. :)
