1. Do you celebrate Easter? Am not against celebrating any holiday. But I dont have anyone to do it with. My family is from Asia and lives there, where easter isnt a thing. Neither is Christmas or any Christian holiday. Here in Italy where I live, easter (pasqua) is very big, but I live alone and have no family to celebrate it with haha.
Back in some years I remember seeing a page on instagam, where they said "telling people Merry Christmas is offensive because not all cultures celebrate Christmas". As a person who was born in a very different culture i find such sayings ridiculous and soft. People have first world problems. Christian holidays are beautiful.
2. Do you like bunnies/rabbits? If not, what is/are some of your fave animals? Bunnies are cute but my fave animals are cats, and I have a lovely cat wich is with my parents now but i cuddle him anytime i am back home.
3. What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas I will have to say. Its also close to my birthday so. In my country we celebrate "Nowruz" which is the new year with the start of spring and starts around March 21st and goes on for 13 day. Its one of the last days of Nowruz now. I used to love it when I was younger, but Nowruz is all about seeing your relatives and as our ties with our relatives became weak, the Persian new year doesnt feel the same.

Thank you for the tag ☺

1) i don't really celebrate Easter. My parents did egg hunts for my brother and me when we were younger and when my sister was born i did egg hunts for her.

2) i love bunnies/rabbits. When i was younger i used to have 2 of them. i love their little noses when they twitch and watching them hop around.

3) Halloween is my favorite holiday. i love the time of year it is in, the spooky movies and the sweater weather. It is nice snuggling up in a sweater with a favorite blanket and sitting out on the lounger watching the sun set while drinking some hot coco 😊

i hope it is okay, but thought i would share some of the pictures of my flowers from over the years. i figure they would be springy 😊
Those flowers are so beautiful!

1. I do not celebrate Easter. Some of my family does, but I don't.
2. I've adopted guinea pigs from rescues as an adult and helped someone rehome some. They are charming, lovely creatures with tons of personality, and they deserve so much better than being sold at big box pet stores as a disposable SKU. Rabbits are similar, especially around Easter, where parents get their kids rabbits without realizing rabbits are a ton of commitment and a ton of work. Any animal someone is responsible for is an animal that person is responsible for. But yes, all of the smols melt my heart, including rabbits.
3. Pride 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ ✊ which is a movement, a rally, a protest, a continually justified riot and rebellion, yet also a celebration all at once.

Hey everyone! HAPPY EASTER (to those who celebrate it), meant to post this cafe yesterday for Good Friday, but anyway I'm posting it today instead. If none are posted for Sunday or Monday then I guess this could maybe be called the "Easter cafe" lol, otherwise it will just be the "Saturday" cafe. Anyway didn't do a pick a pic collage again (sorry) but I guess the theme could be considered "Easter" lol. I have a few questions, but feel free to just talk about whatever you want and/or post some Easter/flower/spring/bunny/whatever else kinds of pics you want if you'd rather just do that, it's all good ;)
Hope everyone has a nice day! :)

Questions:

1. Do you celebrate Easter?
2. Do you like bunnies/rabbits? If not, what is/are some of your fave animals?
3. What is your favorite holiday?

Here's a list of all the people I will be tagging here (if you want to be added/removed please just let me know but as of now this is my "official tag list" lol ;) It's in alphabetical order here to make it quicker to check. (I put them together in groups of "10")

I agree on guinea pigs...had them as a child and they are undeniably sooooo cute! To this day whenever I am preparing a salad with and smell the lettuce think of George who minute heard fridge door would start whistling as knew lettuce just might be coming....lol!

Aw you're so welcome for the tags Road to Nowhere, puffymilk and MrB! :)
Thank you all for replying, and MrB - Aw wow thank you so much for those kind compliments about thinking I did a good job on the cafe, I try lol :p ;) I'm glad you like that first tag pic I posted with the neon bunny, I love that one a lot too. Oh and no worries at all about the cafe, you didn't post it yesterday anyway (pretty sure it was on Thursday) but ya I was just a bit "lazy" about posting it yesterday, and I'm glad I didn't cos of how popular your cafe was. ;) Maybe it woulda been largely ignored or who knows, lol. Anyway now that I know if I post in a current cafe that I'm gonna post it for the next day that it won't result in anyone else trying to "post one first" or anything like that then next time I will just say it in the current cafe that I'll be posting one on ____ (whatever date it ends up being, lol) :) I was very relieved that it didn't happen like that, if it had...well hmm, I dunno what I woulda said or done but I definitely hope I woulda been able to be "cool" about it somehow of course, lol. I like to think I would but ya I can definitely sometimes be a bit unpredictable I guess.

Ok, really didn't mean for this to be a "rambly" reply lol so I will do my best to keep the rest focused on replying only ;) Thank you for being so kind and caring with saying those sweet things about what I talked about in the "what are you thinking about right now?" thread in the gameroom, ya I just worry too much sometimes but I know all I can do is hope for the best and that everything will be ok no matter what happens. After everything I've survived, my sis moving, seeing my gran and uncle and those other things I'm worried about are not about to be the things that "ruin" me or my life, lol. Anyway thank you again and I hope you have a great day too! :)
Hey, absolutely no worries at-all @JMG ! : ) I'm just so happy you did get around to posting it... & remember the days when the cafe`s would stay open for the entire month? So, we'd just keep one long continuous stretch / or thread (day?) I guess; going! ;) Anyway, I'd say try not to over-think it, or think about it too much. But so long as it isn't dragging you down, or getting destructive even on the most minor of scales, or whatever, then I'd say it's not that big of a deal. And really, or further more, it simply means that "You care!" And there really isn't anything wrong with that, in my book~

&- oh? "Rambly," You say: well, I simply wouldn't know what you're talking about there, for I have never really ever been one of the kind or such of type; for such juvenile thinking n' things! Ha Ha Ha. . . Ho Ho Ho...... hehehe~*/> U_see^ ~what- {i} [mean?? ;-).]*~

And as for, 'Popularity?' I'd say it had A LOT More to~do: w/... (the subject matter/or topic of disco!)! than anything else, really~ relevancy-wise, or pertaining to ;) ;) peace out!! -& yes, or yea/yeah/yah`~\> Family's & their dynamics, can be oh-so-tough; to wrap our heads & minds around some times // or, at All-Times, maybe even (more!)! So, don't worry, or just know that, you are not alone - in that regard, manner or sense. Sure some have bumpier rides than others. And yours has been, no 'walk in the park,' by the sounds of all your reports, over time. But the good news is: you can go forward & into the/or your future--& thus/then -try_to~ ^get it (more) right. Or somehow further (more) "corrected," I guess. You can write your story & your ending how you'd more wanted it to go, in other words. Yes, it may have gotten off to a rocky or shaky start. Putting it mildly at best! But then, somewhere along the way, you gathered yourself, got things adjusted & addressed. Eventually, over much painstaking & exhausting efforts, and traumas consumed. You came out the other side, or end, emerged a better woman, or person. As a whole, on the hole, then.

So before I answer the questions.... here's a mini sending happy wishes to all...
Mini Happy Easter.jpg

1. Do you celebrate Easter?
Not really...as a kid my parents would hide my easter basket in the house so have fond memories of yes waking up before dawn...turning all lights on...searching for it...and then of course beginning to consume before they were up...lol.

2. Do you like bunnies/rabbits? If not, what is/are some of your fave animals?
I love all animals and as I'm currently "pet-less" feel so lucky to be volunteering at a mini-horse sanctuary so I get my "fur-baby" fix. If I had to choose guess would be guinea pigs, cats, dogs, horses, & kiwis and also one day hope to see koalas and elephants, in their native habitats, unlikely, but one can dream :)

3. What is your favorite holiday?
I have to say Christmas as it's the only one I really decorate for...love putting up ornaments on the tree and good memories with family and friends.

Wishing all a wonderful day! Here is raining but admit glad am in flatlands as otherwise would be snowing. So wishing wonderful weather in your neck of the woods.

hey what am i doing here, it's still saturday. i generally traipse in like 10PM the next day. oops, sorry! (jk) hey, JMG, seems to me calling this saturday Café an Easter Café is quite alright in my humble opinion. What is making my head spin is how many Cafés there have been recently. I was getting to think they'd been wound down for good but that is not actually good iykwim! so quite happy to see them flourishing once again.

anyway getting down to business, (i just can't resist) i choose pic #right side!!!!! its a cuter cuter bunny.

and of course, my cup-O-joe and croissant!

and my fav window seat with the shiny sun shining in!

but seriously folks, the Qs....

1. Do you celebrate Easter?
do i? hmmm, when the kids were little we did the egg hunt right here in our apartment. and to this day plus or minus, we still occasionally find a plastic egg with the chocolate still inside as fresh as can be expected and both kids are firmly in their 20s now....

2. Do you like bunnies/rabbits? If not, what is/are some of your fave animals?
well i did choose the cute bunny #2 above! bunnies are nice. i love cats. i love dogs. i even love skunks. aside from the potential odor, somehow they seem sophistocated and elegant and smart and having some kind of special hidden personality or skunkonality, as it might be called. i could also give you a list of all the animals i love, but maybe the post would be a bit too long.

3. What is your favorite holiday?
holidays? favs? yesterday was Trans Day of Visibility. i've only been aware of yesterday's so far it being only recently that i've been addressing the Trans in me and expressing it, and it is still pretty new on the list. Halloween is a favorite. Xmas, New Year's Eve though that is not actually a holiday.
then there's
national dandelion day
coming up very soon - on April 5. i don't think there can be a more wonderful beautiful day than that! oh!!!, JMG, i've got a list of off beat important holidays buried in my brain that i don't remember atm but i'm sure there are many peeps here who know 'em.

Happy Easter to all, Saturday to all, and just plain happy. 👽

Thanks for the tag @JMG
I don't celebrate Easter. I don't do much for holidays in general anymore, lately. I am going to be working today anyway.
I love bunnies. I grew up with my family having a pet bunny, and he was great. I also love rats and capybaras. All animals are cool, really. My sister had to put her pet bunny to sleep recently because he got sick and was too old to handle it :( But he was 12 I believe and had a very nice life after she adopted him from the animal shelter.
Favorite holidays... I used to say New Year's Day, but I was kind of just saying it to be different. I would like Christmas and Thanksgiving if I was able to celebrate them properly, but I have no one to celebrate with really, so I usually sign up to work on holidays.

1. Easter is huge in my large mostly Catholic/atheist family. It’s pretty much a yearly family reunion so I get to see lots of my lovely cousins and that’s what makes it special for me. As far as celebrating as in going to church or giving up fun for Lent, no. No no no no. I did the religion thing growing up and for all I can tell, it screwed me up hardcore because I am gay, and that would have gotten me excommunicated at the time. I am still working with internalized homophobia thanks to being indoctrinated from age 6-11. Sorry bout the rant, this is on my mind lately.

I like dogs. Except for spoiled little ankle biters (usually chihuahuas or pomeranians) that bite anyone but the one human that they can stand. Bigger dogs and me just get along. I don’t own any pets because my ADHD is so debilitating that I don’t feel it would be responsible to do so. That said I have enough fun with friends’ dogs and I had my drummer’s boxer who was more my buddy than his but oh well.

In general I find holidays to be a pain. I am a creature of routines (might explain the dog affinity) and holidays upset my weekly pattern that is necessary for me to sleep well. So maybe like, Groundhog Day?

i recall two cafés opening next door to each other on a few occasions in years past. it was awkward but fun too. i think one was merged with the other one time around as well. personally i think 2 cafés on one day just mean twice the fun and adventure. so yay and my standing thanks 🙏 for opening today JMG, and the other day too @MisterBGone and and on and on... to all those posters 👽

1. Do you celebrate Easter?
I enjoy the chocolate, but that's about it. My parents were both very confident atheists, so the religious aspect was never part of it, and i'm more of an autumn/winter girl (i cope well in the cold but not so much the heat), so a celebration of spring starting isn't my bag.

2. Do you like bunnies/rabbits? If not, what is/are some of your fave animals?
I do quite like rabbits, hoppy little fluffballs that they are. Which is great around here, cos you get a lot of wild rabbits/hares around these parts. They're not my favourites though. This may come as a shocker, but i really like goats. :D Cos they're chill, but headstrong and basically make their own rules. So they're in kind of a 3 way tie for favourite with sloths and pheasants, those other 2 being cos i have a soft spot in my heart for any species that defies the odds by somehow miraculously not going extinct.

3. What is your favorite holiday?
I'm a major horror junkie, so it's Halloween. Although my favourite tradition that really put Halloween over the top of the others is gone now, i still retain my love for a holiday all about the macabre and being scared, and it's always a reliable source of a bunch of new horror films and games.

Thanks for opening the cafe and for tagging me @JMG. You did another good job with today's theme. *hug
