@Nick and @Lane too, its a funny coincidence that today i just took out a piece of writing(s) i’ve been working on for a long time - to become a “novel” of sorts hopefully in the not too distant future - and which i allowed to lay dormant for far too long - which is about a clown lady of sorts. how appropriate i should take it out today the beginning of clown week! so lets see where it leads me...
and thanks for inviting me here nick and still smiling btw. might this be the requested admission?

I appreciate the invite.
Well, I'm not feeling too good.
My neck/hip still hurts, my mom has to get surgery and might have complications (a small chance, but I'm a worrier), and I was around people who don't wear masks during the COVID pandemic.

Yesterday, I managed to get three jobs done and I made some money.
Not that much, but every little bit helps.
I also made more than I thought I would last month.

I still wish this COVID shit would be done with already, so I can get back to my life.

National Catfish Month - I'm glad it's not that kind of catfishing. Been through enough of that already. Not sure if I've ever had ctfish but sounds good.
Peach Month - Now I want a peach.

National Smile Week - August 9-15 (That's cute)
Friendship Week August 16-22 (I love all my friends.)

You dont actually have to reply to questions or anything here. You can just say hello or post a photo of something. I rarely answer any of the questions cause I just don't feel like thinking that much. ha Just come and say hi, it's more about checking in and getting a feel for the day than anything else. *hug

I'm not much into questions, so if I open I try to go a different direction. No need to respond to the "topic" of the day. The topic is always "how are you doing?" Some people aren't up to that particular question, or would rather just hang out in the cafe, hence other topics and questions. You can pop in and say hi, tell us about your day or post something totally random not related to any of that. @RCee like to pop in and show us what her pup is up to. It's pretty open to what you want to talk about.

I decided to move my office and my crafting to a different room today. So I've been doing that. Of course that created a rather large mess in the room I moved it to and the room I moved it from. I'm just taking a small break and then back to organizing again. Calypso is very unsure of this new development, I've moved a significant amount of furniture around.

Thanks. I'm not very good at being social. Not something I've had much practice in - although I have to chat to random strangers as part of my job so you'd think I'd be fine. I always prefer to know what's expected of me, I know that sounds odd but that's the truth of it.

Ty for tagging me @Nick & for opening the cafe :) I didn't like that it wasn't opened for awhile either but I don't think I'm very comfortable opening one again for at least another month or 2. Anyway wow that's a lot of celebration type things that are happening this month! *oh

My fave day this month will be Aug.23 cos that's my sis's bday & even though I don't have her present ready yet (having a hard time figuring out what to get her, as always, lol) I'm looking forward to celebrating it with her & also getting to have an ice cream cake like we usually do :)

My day is so-so I guess, was a bit better earlier than now but I just need to refocus my energy & just what I'm thinking about in general cos it definitely will not go anywhere good. Ok so good/happy/positive things - this site, the net, my sweet perfect lil angel kitty, friends, family, Star Wars, Mark Hamill, nature, animals, chocolate, art, games, AC, lots of good things :)
Hope everyone is having a nice day though & hope you all know how infinitely valuable, worthy, irreplaceable, unique, miraculous, special & priceless you are too! :) ❤ ❤ ❤ *hug*hug*hug
