1. What is the most memorable birthday gift you've ever received and why?
I think I got a pet gerbil for my birthday one year. He lived a fairly long time. Got some good presents as a kid, but I don't necessarily remember which ones were Christmas vs. birthday. Come to think of it, the gerbil might have been a Christmas thing too. *dunno
2. What is the most memorable gift you've ever given?
I can't think of anything particularly special I've given. I'm not necessarily a fantastic gift giver. I have trouble thinking of things to give people sometimes.
3. If you could have the perfect birthday what would it be like?
Mostly getting really good food and seeing my teams win.
Premier League season often seems to be over by the time my birthday comes around, though I did see Spurs score 7 goals in trouncing Hull City on my birthday the last day of the season in 2017 but that was right around when I started supporting them, so it didn't mean as much to me. Hopefully tomorrow, Spurs can wrap up my birthday weekend well by securing top 4.
The Capitals are almost always out of the playoffs by my birthday. Matter of fact, I can only think of one time they played on May 21, during their successful title charge in 2018. They faced off with the Tampa Bay Lightning in the game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final and beat the Lightning 3 goals to none in one of their most complete playoff performances ever. IIRC I missed most of that game due to a volunteer shift at the library that evening. 😑
4. What star sign are you? Do you believe in astrology?
Sun sign: Gemini
Moon Sign: Gemini (though I thought a while back it was Taurus.)
Rising Sign: Leo
I don't believe in it too much, but it's fun to play around with.
5. Do you share your birthday with anyone famous?
No one I'm particularly fond of personally, but Mr. T and the Notorious B.I.G. are some of the more famous ones.
Also a former Capitals player, Craig Anderson who was a backup goalie for a bit last year and now plays for the Sabres.

1. What is the most memorable birthday gift you've ever received and why?
Hard to answer this one for various reasons:
1. I’d feel kinda wrong to pick one over another.
2. I can’t remember every bday gift I ever got anyway lol.
3. Any gift that is given is appreciated far more for the thought than for “what the gift actually is”.
Sorry maybe I take the subject of gifts a bit too seriously lol but it has always felt like an extremely sacred subject to me and not one I treat lightly. I equally enjoy the act of giving gifts and of receiving them :)

2. What is the most memorable gift you've ever given?
I couldn’t really say with this one either that would be for the receiver to decide.

3. If you could have the perfect birthday what would it be like?
Flying anywhere and everywhere I wanted on a private jet plane, having a big 3 tiered Star Wars cake with Star Wars decorations, my mom, cat, sis, uncle, friend and lotsa other cats all being there to celebrate with me and watching Star Wars when we’re eating the cake lol :p

4. What star sign are you? Do you believe in astrology?
Virgo, and yes I believe in it and find it fascinating :)

5. Do you share your birthday with anyone famous?
Not really my bday is kinda boring that way but that’s ok not every bday can be an exciting one like that lol.

1. What is the most memorable birthday gift you've ever received and why?

Two from my grandfather. The straight shave cut throat razor he taught me to use when I was 14 and the lever action rifle like you see in the westerns he got for me when I was 9. I still use both, one for when I am not lazy and will shave and the other since I have hunted deer and hog all my life and elk at times. I know I also have the cane pole he helped me make when younger.

2. What is the most memorable gift you've ever given?

Some of the woodworking and carpentry I have done over the years and given as gifts. I made the desk right in front of me for my mom when I was a wood shop student and there is a cabinet 8 feet away I made for my grandparents. I also made the crib and first baby bed my nephew ever slept in after little knothead came into the world.

3. If you could have the perfect birthday what would it be like?

To be lazier than normal. LOL

4. What star sign are you? Do you believe in astrology?

Sagittarius. I am curious about astrology but for the entertainment and fun value.

5. Do you share your birthday with anyone famous?

Beethoven is one of the few I have always known of. My birthday is the anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge and me and my bulge have fought at times. :)

1. What is the most memorable birthday gift you've ever received and why?

Donkey Kong Country for the Game Boy Advance. At the time, I had barely started school, and I hadn’t known about any other games besides Sonic. When I unwrapped it, I exclaimed “Donkey Kong?!” in a disappointed tone. My mother stormed away while shouting something to the effect of “Oh, shoot me!” while my older siblings cackled in the background. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it.

2. What is the most memorable gift you've ever given?

A crinkly tissue. Again, I was a child, and I wanted to try my hand at being nice to the little girl who was clearly struggling with a runny nose. I pulled out a tissue from my pocket, which my mother had packed, and I softly said to her “Here you go,” to which the other kids sitting beside her replied in unison “Eww!” Never mind then, bitches.

3. If you could have the perfect birthday what would it be like?

One in which I don’t remember it myself. I just want to get through the spring without being reminded of the continuous loss of time.

4. What star sign are you? Do you believe in astrology?

Taurus. It’s piques my interest every few years or so, but I don’t give it much attention or credence otherwise.

5. Do you share your birthday with anyone famous?

Happy Birthday @Baywasp hope your day went well!
1. As a kid my birthday fell on Easter one year, instead of eggs I had to find my present.
2. When 18 turned 9 i didn't have much money, so i wrote positive affirmations on post it notes, stuck them to his bedroom wall in the middle of the night spelled out happy birthday. He still talks about this with the same awe and excitement he had that Birthday morning .
3. I dont like my birthday, so not having one at all would be excellent.

Thanks for the tag @Sunspots and what a fabulous array of food - I'll have the full English without the beans!

1. What is the most memorable birthday gift you've ever received and why?

I think I might have just had it. Two sons went halves and bought me an Iphone 13 this week, I'm so chuffed! They said it couldn't wait for my birthday, my old one was so crap. Before that it would be a big fluffy bunny toy from my husband, years ago.

2. What is the most memorable gift you've ever given?

Probably a large Galileo thermometer for my husband as he doesn't ever want or need anything but that went down well. Before that it was giving a Marc Bolan LP to a friend's brother when I got an invite to his party. It was just what he wanted and I'll never forget his face!

3. If you could have the perfect birthday what would it be like?

Lying on a beach looking at the Indian Ocean probably and some great food. That BBQ in the evening sounds pretty good too!

4. What star sign are you? Do you believe in astrology? Cancer. Yes, definitely into it but not horoscopes,

5. Do you share your birthday with anyone famous? Debbie Harry, Princess Diana, Pamela Anderson, Olivia de Havilland...there's loads.

Hi @Sunspots and everyone else! I'm a little late to the Summer party, but I had a certain meetup to attend to yesterday... *shock

1. What is the most memorable birthday gift you've ever received and why?
I'm not sure if the most memorable, but I guess my first CD (when I was 9) made me VERY VERY happy. It was a TaTu CD, please don't judge. :P

2. What is the most memorable gift you've ever given?
I guess I bought my dad tickets to see Hans Zimmer live?

3. If you could have the perfect birthday what would it be like?
Embarking on a trip to Finland, enjoying some amazing food in a restaurant, and ending the day at the concert of my favourite band. All of that with my best friends.

4. What star sign are you? Do you believe in astrology?
I'm a virgo, and of course not. :p

5. Do you share your birthday with anyone famous?
Yes, with @Gonz . :) Also Keanu Reeves.
