Good morning SF! I hope you are all as well as can be.

I am debating what to have for breakfast although I have settled on homemade nachos for lunch.

Do you like nachos? Are they a part of your culture? I really don't think what Taco Bell calls nachos counts though lol

What are your favorite ingredients, how do you assemble them?

I'll post a pic of mine later today!

Here is a link to some pretty authentic nachos (prefer mine without beans tho):

this is a very delicious café Angie, and nice to see, to be here - thank you much for the tag but i think the aroma of good food always seems to drift my way and then we (nose, IFS and all of me) soon follow.

as for Taco Bell, i've gone only twice - a long time ago - and was advised by peeps that it was not really what i was lookng for and found out and i do agree!!!

can i say favorite ingredients? maybe, maybe not. you can bet if it turns out to be what i was "looking for", it will have the right ingredients and i'll love it!!!

but here is a little recipe that may be considered related and may also enhance peoples enjoyment - not at a restaurant or someone's already prepared meal but just as something that can help to spice things up...
... i keep talking about my recent trip to San Francisco and we were looking for a low carb replacement to that packaged health nightmare (doritos). so, here's a link https://www.epicurious.com/recipes-menus/doritos-seasoning-recipe-article hoping you and everyone love it as much - even just pouring the powder right into my hand and into my mouth - so wonderfully and healthily addictive. hoping you will enjoy 🫶👽

I just saw this at 4:45pm and have been prepping my ingredients for chicken pot pie tonight, but dang! nachos would hit the spot right about now. Will have to put ingredients on my shopping list. I like basic nachos with guacamole and sour cream and sliced jalapeños on the side.
A tip for those of you don't want soggy chips....spinkle a little shredded cheese on them and bake them until it melts. This will help keep the juices of the toppings from soaking in and making your chips soggy.

@Angie what do you have against refried beans? lol
Thanks for the tag 😀

I do love nachos, and I wouldn't say that it's part of my culture exactly. Makes me think of that Facebook page about white people making Mexican food, lol. I'm sure the ones I make are much different from the Southwest and other areas. I like taco meat, tomato, lettuce, sour cream, black olives, onions, jalapeno, and nacho cheese on tortilla chips.
