Let's see, all time favorite movies...If you ask me next week, my list will probably be a little different. What I know for sure is that these are ones I can watch over and over again, and I have (listed in the order they popped into my head):

1. Lawrence of Arabia
2. Planet of The Apes (the original of course)
3. 2001: A Space Odyssey
4. The Godfather
5. The Good The Bad and The Ugly

As for my favourite movies, like @HumanExMachina also stated, it's always changing depending on my mood or if I'm obsessed with some kind of franchise.
A few months back, I was watching all of the Harry Potter movies plus Fantastic Beasts, all in the lead up to the release of the latest movie.

My usual Top 5 is -
Titanic
Gladiator
Forrest Gump
Ben Hur (original)
The Dark Crystal (obviously, my username is Kira and I'm the SF Gelfling!)

Currently, my son and I are slowly working our way through the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. My favourite is Thor. Well, Chris Hemsworth! Really... yep, Chris Hemsworth. He's an Aussie, that's the only reason. No really, that's the reason. Why else would he be my favourite? Definitely because he's an Aussie. No other reason I can think of.

Kira I wish there was a Love button, as well as a Like, because that post would definitely get a Love ;) I've never seen Thor but it's definitely on my list of movies to watch over the holidays *dance1

Hmmmm @Kira something tells me that there's more to Chris Hemsworth being your favourite than just being an Aussie but I can't quite put my finger on what... ;)

Happy Birthday @Cynic Goat! I don't know you but I see your posts around! Hope you have a wonderful day. As for movies there are wayyyyyyyyyyy too many to name one or five. Anything that is funny and gives me a laugh such as National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, gotta love The Wizard of Oz, movies that make me cry such as Forrest Gump, and the ones that scare the pants off of me like Silence of the Lambs! I also just saw Bohemian Rhapsody. Great movie that told the story of the rise of Queen. Those types of movies are awesome, too. Thanks for the tag! @Woowoo

The only movie I've been to in about a year! I went to see Bohemian Rhapsody....I thought they did a good job of storytelling, the acting was great!

Happy Birthday, @Cynic Goat I’m sending you a 2-day Goat Yoga spa gift certificate. As you can see, your role is to be King of the Hill during yoga! No butts about it...

Thank you @Woowoo for the invitation!

Movies? Hmmmm...Hard because reasons for loving are so different.

Year of Living Dangerously - great story, good-to-great acting, history in it was interesting and well done.
Finding Dory - who doesn’t love a fish story?
The Devil Wears Prada - so well done - great insight into fashion world and publishing. “That’s all.”
Harvey - Jimmy Steward and the invisible “pika”/rabbit. I love Jimmy Stewart’s soft spoken voice and manner.
...? Too many to name just one more...

What are those weird lumps all over his torso? Are those 'muscles'? I've heard of those. If not, he'd better go have those checked out.

Wow, so many birthday wishes. Thank you all, it really makes me feel like my presence makes an impact here, which couldn't make me happier. I'll be honest, leading up to today, i thought i would feel uncomfortable seeing people wishing me a happy birthday, but to see some of the wonderful things being said, and some of the brilliant memes being shared, i actually really like it, thank you all for making my birthday feel special when i thought it was just going to be another boring day. ^_^

Wow, @Kira @Walker , these things you're saying are so wonderful, it makes me feel amazing, thank you so much. It's an incredible experience to hear such lovely things.

Haha, thank you for the brilliant images, they all made me laugh quite a lot @Witty_Sarcasm @Woowoo @Sunspots

Yes, @HumanExMachina , i love that method of celebrating my birthday. :L

Thank you for the birthday message @JacsMom

Wow @Acy , that looks like a great time, i so want to stand there majestically like that one on the left. :L

Heya folks!! Happy Saturday! I guess I'll open the cafe today. Today's theme: Movies!

Today's theme is all about movies. What's your favorite all-time movie? Top 5? Or, is there a movie you watch every time it's on TV? Do you have a favorite movie genre? You can answer any or all of these questions. Or, you can just start listing a bunch of your favorite movies in no particular order lol.
Great theme! My favorite all-time movie is A Coal Miner's Daughter.

Top 5?

Malcolm X
Boys Don't Cry
Maurice
The Siege
Forrest Gump

My favorite movie genre is drama. I love movies based on true stories.

A bunch of my favorite movies?

Lincoln
Paper Chase
All About Eve
GI Jane
A Few Good Men
Searching for Bobby Fischer
The Godfather movies
Sense and Sensibility
Amadeus
Poetic Justice
The Accused
Apollo 13
The Talented Mr. Ripley
The Matrix movies

An interesting theme btw @Blue Star

I don't think i could say for sure what my absolute favourites are, but i can definitely list a few i love.

Graveyard of Fireflies, even though it's a super depressing film
Django Unchained
Kill Bill
Shaun of the Dead
Forrest Gump

But i always had a love for horror movies, even the crappy B-list ones full of Z-tier actors, i used to just watch those all day growing up.

Ooh yes, I forgot Kill Bill, I love both those movies.

Forrest Gump is another great film and is being a lot of votes today :)

Ooh I’m always bad at picking favorites of things, but here’s 5 off the top of my head that I can always rewatch:

Twister
Wedding Singer
It’s a Wonderful Life
O Brother Where Art Thou
Demolition Man

I’m getting a bunch of ideas from you all about movies I’ve meant to watch, so this is a handy thread.
