Just out of curiosity, I looked up Dave's Killer Bread here, it is $6.42 per loaf.

If I can find Dave's Kller Bread for less it's what I buy most often on clearance, pastries and baked good. The favorite and healthiest bread I buy is Ezekiel for $7.99 or it’s the food bank and to go bags.

Just curious today about the cost of a couple food items in your area:

Loaf of bread
Dozen eggs

So i just checked the Tesco website. I could get one of my usual loaves of bread for 75p. It's probably not good bread, but i'm not too fussy about it, cos it's bread, innit?
As for eggs, you can get 12 for £2.85. Or alternatively, you could buy them locally, from the farmers. IIRC they ask for £2 for half a dozen eggs. And it's so farm-to-table, you literally know the names of which hens laid which of your eggs.
Alternatively alternatively, i'm sure you probably could get cheaper prices on bread and eggs, if you're willing to shop around at places like Aldi or Didldidee.
(Let's see who knows that bit.)
