Hello guys and gals....

I brought some goodies to enjoy on a lazy Sunday morning.

Welcome to the cafe and welcome to March, have you any exciting things going on this month or any wishes or plans?
1583032973603.png

Questions for you all;

  • Have you ever sent a text or email to the wrong person? ... Yes and it was deadly embarrassing, a huge mistake I still cringe over as it was very personal.
  • Have you ever said hi to someone on the street thinking they were someone else? ... Yes again she just thought I was crazy but one time a middle aged man came up and hugged me in a restaurant thinking I was someone else, his face was red with embarrassment, I thought it was hilarious though and laughed my ass off *rofl
  • Have you ever thought something that happened in a dream happened in real life? A good few times, I still don't know the answer :D

Yay thanks for tagging kitty!

1. Have you ever sent a text or email to the wrong person?

Yes. That one time I accidentally spam memes of cats to everyone. :D

2. Have you ever said hi to someone on the street thinking they were someone else?

Yes. Even worse. The last time at my workplace. I wanted to scare my colleague but I scare someone else. It was an epic fail scare. Still cracks me up to this day. *rofl

3. Have you ever thought something that happened in a dream happened in real life?
Most of the times nightmares can bring to reality. Me thinks.

@BlackOpium I want some of those!!! *Points at them longingly/ mouthwateringly*.

Please!!!

But the delicious looking treats vanish before my eyes!!!

...and remember...
beware the Ides of March!!!
  • Have you ever sent a text or email to the wrong person? "... Yes and it was deadly embarrassing, a huge mistake I still cringe over as it was very personal." Directly quoting you BlackOpium because this applies directly to me too!!!😵
  • Have you ever said hi to someone on the street thinking they were someone else? ... In elementary school I left school a little late one afternoon and I heard someone calling my name. He called it again a couple more times as he ran toward me. When he just about reached me he called out again, Dan!!! But then came close and looked me in the eye and said "oh, you're not Dan" and ran away. But nope I don't think I ever did that.😊
  • Have you ever thought something that happened in a dream happened in real life? Yeah it was a strange overlap of day, time and dream situation where I thought something happened one day but actually didn't happen on another. Made no sense but I must have had a dream from one early morning resuming from an afternoon nap dream the day before when real things happened that I was not really aware of. Still not sure which parts were dream and which were real.
Now a hot cup of coffee by my favorite sunny window in this cozy café. Thanks 😊😊😊😊😊

Have you ever sent a text or email to the wrong person? Nah, I just send embarrassing messages to people I already know. lol

Have you ever said hi to someone on the street thinking they were someone else? On occasion but usually I think it's someone waving or talking to me but they're not.

Have you ever thought something that happened in a dream happened in real life? Nah, my real life isn't that exciting.

I like your sig @BlackOpium

Have nothing planned for this month at all nope and as for wishes, yes, many, all completely unrealistic as far as I can tell but w/e could be worse least I'm not being held prisoner in some creepy weirdo's basement, that would def. be a much worse & more painful, disappointing & utterly miserable situation than my life.

Anyway here's my answers to the q's:

Have you ever sent a text or email to the wrong person?
No lol thankfully this has never happened to me & hope it never does.

Have you ever said hi to someone on the street thinking they were someone else?
Yes & I've felt very dumb when I've done that, luckily it's only been once or twice, woulda been a lot less embarrassing if the people had at least laughed but they all just had snotty looks on their faces so guess they were just annoyed to be spoken to by me or something who the heck knows, whatever.

Have you ever thought something that happened in a dream happened in real life?
Yes, can't remember what but there's been things I thought happened and even things I thought I had bought or owned & gone looking for & then been like "oh heck I think I just DREAMED I had that" it's a pretty weird feeling when that's happened.

  • Have you ever sent a text or email to the wrong person? Probably, but don't remember it being a big deal.
  • Have you ever said hi to someone on the street thinking they were someone else? Probably...again, don't recall. More likely, others have said hi to me, but I ignored it, not sure if I know them, or even just, unsure it was me they're greeting lol. Better be safe than sorry... xD ; - Not that this comes out less awkward, in cases where it was meant for me. *facepalm
  • Have you ever thought something that happened in a dream happened in real life? Yup. Many times. Random small events usually, though.

Have you ever sent a text or email to the wrong person?
I remember one time I was texting with someone and complaining about how my best friend doesn't talk to me enough, but I sent it to my best friend by accident. I think it wasn't 100% clear what I was talking about because she didn't get offended or anything. Or another time I was texting a different friend at the same time as my mom, who had just told me she went to the library, so I tried to ask her if she got any books, but I ended up sending it to the friend, who got confused and told me he already had too many books.
Have you ever said hi to someone on the street thinking they were someone else?
Most likely, but nothing specific sticks out in my memory. But I do tend to err on the side of caution with these types of things.
Have you ever thought something that happened in a dream happened in real life?
I remember doing this on at least one occasion but don't recall any details.

Going to the pub this morning to watch Spurs, then I might get some lunch or something afterwards. Then I have to work on my assignment for Developmental Psych. It's just writing around a page about a research article and completing a short multiple choice quiz.

Have you ever sent a text or email to the wrong person?
yes, but typically my personal texts or emails don't go out to that many people so it's not really a thing. I have received a few that were hilariously sent to the wrong person.

Have you ever said hi to someone on the street thinking they were someone ?
We are making some awfully big assumptions here:
a) I am going to be out somewhere to see someone
b) If I see that someone I am going to make contact with them
c) I am not going to quadruple check they are who I think they are first, before making any contact

Now, imagine two awkward nerdy not great communicators seeing each other after a few years in the grocery store. That was interesting.

Have you ever thought something that happened in a dream happened in real life?
My dreams/nightmares are at time reliving real life events. Then there are weird ones, and things I know didn't happen. There are dreams I wish happened. I guess that's the point of a dream, right?

Thanks for opening the cafe @BlackOpium - hope you are enjoying your weekend. Yes, a few things this month, the main one being my SIL and husband coming to stay. We don't have the easiest relationship (she is very jealous but we have got on a bit better recently - since she had breast cancer in fact.) It will be interesting to see her now I'm much more in the know about narcissistic behaviour. I'm going to be analysing! *bleh
  • Have you ever sent a text or email to the wrong person? I once got a wrong text from someone organising our building work and he sent porno pics to me instead of one of the builders. Thankfully the work was done by then! He apologised by email.
  • Have you ever said hi to someone on the street thinking they were someone else? Done it a few times, nothing too embarrassing.
  • Have you ever thought something that happened in a dream happened in real life? Still don't know if I feel down the stone stairs in my aunt's cottage and got knocked out or whether I dreamt it.

Thanks for opening @BlackOpium. As for March plans--continue walking every am before work with a woman I met at the pool who happens to live just a few doors down on my street (amazing coincidence)...don't say a word anyone but quit smoking...thinking maybe as this woman meditates asking her for a few tips and then try meditating instead of smoking...

Have you ever sent a text or email to the wrong person? ... Yes I tend to do it at work when want to include someone's email in the message so enter their name in the cc field and then forget to remove it...sigh...

Have you ever said hi to someone on the street thinking they were someone else? ... Yes and even more embarassing was a woman at a conference talked to me extensively and clearly knew me but to this day I have no idea who she was...lol..

Have you ever thought something that happened in a dream happened in real life? Yes and usually spend the first few hours of day a tad confused if it did or didn't happen.

Wishing all a great Sunday...may your day be filled with peaceful moments, good food and R&R...

Welcome to the cafe and welcome to March, have you any exciting things going on this month or any wishes or plans?
i forgot to address this! so now let me see, what is on the list.

well “exciting” does not necessarily mean something good and i do still expect to be keeping after my new insurance company to start providing the things i need that they said beforehand that would be available - specifically my PCP and my Therapist. i’d include my psychiatrist too but in our 17 second phone conversation before he rudly hung up the phone abruptly he said “ask them for the list of providers and find someone else”. anyway, this stuff is on the list.

i am also hoping to have myself admitted to an inpatient or maybe even outpatient program because my issues are really getting on the very bad side lately and i need the help. i have to try and find a way to stop yelling and screaming about it and feeling bad all the time and try to just be Jim’s Café appropriate in general.

next, my wife had to leave the country several weeks ago to see her father who is very old and ill. now we have to worry if she will have any difficulty coming back due to international health issues going on. hoping she will be able to get back soon not only because i’m sick and tired of doing the dishes and cooking but because of the above, getting myself into treatment as asap as possible reason.

fortunately there’s some good news for the month. my older son who moved out quite a while ago already, is coming for a visit in a couple weeks. and on the days that he does not spend with his friends, maybe will will be doing fun stuff together as a family. so looking forward to that.

other fun things... my younger son noticed that i do not know how to have fun so he has been kind of insisting that i watch movies or something and has been helping this netflix-moron me to realize that watching a movie on line is not actually a difficult thing. 😁.

i really am hoping i will be able to put myself on a good course of treatment, help and healing soon. i definitely don’t want a whole life of this so even if i have been seeming totally lost and negative, i am being selfhelpful, proactive and in search of the good things i need to get myself on a good road. ... just need to tell.

Thanks for opening @BlackOpium :)

I've got a couple of gigs booked this month, unfortunately they're both on the same weekend so that will be exhausting, but worth it :)

Have you ever sent a text or email to the wrong person?
I remember sending a really confidential work email to the meanest and most jobsworth person in the world by mistake. She took great delight in informing my boss of my mistake but luckily my boss was cool about it. I still cringe with embarrassment when I think about it.

Have you ever said hi to someone on the street thinking they were someone else?
I do this all the time! I really must get new glasses!

Have you ever thought something that happened in a dream happened in real life?
Yep. I remember as a kid dreaming that my brother had deliberately broken something of mine. When I woke up I was so mad at him that I smashed his Death Star model he'd spent weeks building. Ooooops. I had an awful lot of apologizing to do!
And last week I dreamt I was pregnant but was too embarrassed to tell anyone *hysterical

It's great to hear your good news @extraterrestrialone. I hope you have a wonderful time with your son when he comes! Oh, I need instruction on Netflix too, I've no idea how it works! *hiding Fingers crossed your wife will get back soon too and things will look up for you!
I'm a member of Netflix for I believe $12 per month. I have 3 of my children that can use it from wherever they are. I also just signed up for Redbox because I was tired of actually going and getting discs and having to return them. *faints
