Hello everyone!

Welcome to another cafe :)

Been a long time since I posted the last cafe, so I thought I would post a new thread today.

Today's question is: What SF theme are you using? Is it the dark, light, or are you just going whatever is the default? And what theme do you usually prefer on your gadgets/when you're using internet (phone's theme, browser, etc)? Do you prefer dark theme or light theme?

If you're not sure how to change the theme on SF, there's a tutorial here, and go to "Setting Your Preference" section

My answer: I use the default SF theme (light) because I personally think it looks better :D But I usually prefer darker layout for my overall internet and gadget use in general.

Feel free to chat here, share anything good/positive you see today or anything interesting, and have a great time!

Some tags: @JMG @AmberMarie @Lane @Witty_Sarcasm @seabird @Road to Nowhere @KM76710 @MagickLynx @FFurry @Shelly @AvidFan @Mid Night @Inastorm @cymbele @Angie (feel free to add more)

Hey puffymilk, thanks so much for posting a cafe for today, and for tagging me too :)

The SF theme I use is also light, and it’s the one I prefer. I generally like light themes for all the sites I go on (when they give an option to change it, which I always appreciate). I like lighter cos when it’s dark then it kinda depresses me a bit lol.

I always feel grateful for my sweet kitty, and some good things that happened today were I finished reading the book I was reading, had some chocolate, had a tuna melt as part of my dinner, and it was a sunny and warm day.

Will do some more tags: @may71 @Kiwi2016 @Baywasp @Innocent Forever @SillyOldBear @Auri @Dante @Walker

The chocolate sounds yummy!

And I forgot to say that darker themes are usually better for my eyes :D

Good question and thanks for opening the cafe today and tagging me in.

I mainly use my laptop to view/ engage with the forum, where I have the default light setting on. On my phone, I have dark mode set up my default.

As for something positive, I cleaned up some amazing old beech chairs I brought yesterday from the charity shop. I gave them a coat of wax and they look great.

Thanks for the tag @JMG
I use SF Light. I think I remember using SF Standard in the past and not liking it because there isn't much to differentiate links from other text. I use dark mode on a lot of sites though.

Something positive today is that I'm going to the pub to watch Spurs later this morning. It will probably be a terrible match, but I'll have fun anyway. Next weekend I have a conference, but the weekend after that, I will be in London at the Spurs match in person.

I didn't realize that the SF Light and SF standard are different! So thank you for this. You learn something new every day lol. That being said, I've been using the SF Standard theme this whole time.

I use SF Dark on the laptop. On the phone I use SF dark also. I don't use the app though I should I'm on here during work checking on friends here.

Lots of positive things happening with me. Lots of busy work and chores this weekend being it was a 3 day weekend. Although it rained I got one wood working project DONE and out of the workshop. I spent the afternoon with my grandson daughter and son in law. I didn't ask anything of them but just hung out with them, no babysitting or asking them to do anything for me. Then tonight I will be going to see a light show in town. The act got pretty high in one season of America's got talent so it will be exciting.
My roommate who happens to be my niece is probably going to tell me today that she is moving out. It's ok; she's 40 years my junior and we have barely interacted since she goes to her room all the time and self isolates which is not good for her. She should be with kids closer in age. I'm okay with no roommate but I have to tread carefully because my brother and I am close and I can't jump for joy yet not show it but be cognizant of her mental health

Have a good day everyone.

Hey, thanks for replying to my post, and you’re so welcome for my reply/sharing, of course! :) I try to always join in the cafes, especially when tagged ;) I try to reply the day they’re posted, usually I can do that since I come on here most days.

Anyway - ya, the chocolate was yummy, it was some Reese’s pieces, I love them and they’re some of my faves, have to be careful not to eat them too much though lol. I understand about darker themes being better for the eyes, sometimes I need a break from the white backgrounds too :p

I have always used dark themes on anything online wherever possible. Must easier to view with having aging peepers. LOL My phone is a Tracphone flip phone and I have never even thought about using it for anything except phone calls, but on every PC it is darker themes work better especially if I can fine tune both backgrounds and the text entered.

Hello café

I'll have a black tea, nothing in it.

Thank you for opening the doors and posing a question @puffymilk .

I use the standard and am usually but not always on my laptop. I use dark mode for pretty much everything, everywhere else. It's not appropriate for SF somehow - subjectively speaking.

A positive thing for me is: I've started feeling better today after a week or so of what I believe is covid.

Thanks also for tagging me puffymilk. :)

Thank you for opening and tagging me puffymilk. I use the light version.

something positive, hmmm. I found this guy at the farmers market yesterday. Also, been trying to stop and watch the birds more closely as they are so cool and busy this time of year. Hope you're doing well @puffymilk View attachment 72370
He’s adorable! Hope you’re well too Lane :)

Thanks for opening @puffymilk and for the tag @JMG.

I use the default. And so good to see all the positivity here...great way to start the week as yes a day late per usual.

So to add to positivity...puppy made it in crate for 2 hours during the day...it's the small victories we are counting...

Wishing all the best for a Monday...
So great to hear about the puppy! Wishing you the best Monday too Kiwi :)
