It's funny, but I dont have my glasses on and I read that as com dog and had to look it u on google, nothing came up - Ive just zoomed in on the word and see its corn dog.

Ive never had a corn dog had to look that up too! It does look quite nice and I would try one.

I love corn dogs. I feel like I never have them anymore, which is unfortunate. I used to keep them in my freezer. I feel like they're always more expensive than I expect though. IIRC there used to be a little corn dog restaurant/stand sort of near my community college in San Francisco. I looked it up, and it's now a food truck. I also found some Korean corn dog places, which has become very popular. We have a food truck here in Pittsburgh that does those. I like them too, especially the ones with both sausage and cheese. You can also get the Korean ones frozen sometimes, at Asian grocery stores.

Hello SF family, I hope this finds you well. I'm struggling myself. So Just silly questions for today.

My questions today involve corn dogs.

Do you know what a corn dog is?
Do you like them if so? Or maybe its a definite no lol
To paraphrase a great thinker who came before us, corn dogs are proof that god loves us, and wants us to be happy!

If you have been grossed out by corn dogs before, it wasn’t the fault of the food’s corn-doggedness. It was just a terrible corn dog! Unless you’re vegetarian, which if so Morningstar farms makes snacks that I would prefer over meat if I could afford them.

Now for everyone else who doesn’t allow moral considerations to interfere with menu planning- it’s a very simple food. And simple food is easy to make and get a mediocre result. It’s very hard to refine the technique that goes into timeless classic entrees that are a true work of art. It’s like the Italian food called polenta. Coincidentally, polenta also starts with corn, and it’s amazingly versatile. It can be as basic or elegant as the occasion calls for.

Corn dogs, however, do not have the advantage of being made from recipes that date back to multiple millennia ago. They will, though, if humanity makes it that long.

Hi Cafe (d'corn dog?)

Sorry you are struggling @Angie. Thank you for the tag @cymbele

Yes, I know what a corn dog is. I remember eating one once, but not recently. I don't care for them. There was a a corndog related thingy which used to make me smile, on one of those tall sign-boards which gas stations use.
It declared: 2 corndogs & a jumbo drink combo on sale today.
It was always there, reliable and familiar.

It's probably still there, but I'm not.

Thank you for opening this delish topic. i do hope your struggle is lessened quickly. @Angie

Thank you for the tag @Inastorm

Yes i know hot dogs. There are so many different types.

i grew up with the cornbread covered ones. i began to like the blueberry pancake covered sausage when i bought them for a quick breakfast for my kids when they were in school (Ages ago). There is also Korean corn dogs.... They look amazing and taste wonderful....

However with all of this... my body despises corndogs. Most likely because i haven't eaten hot dogs in many Many years. The Korean ones often times do not have hotdogs in them... so then i tend to wonder if it's the breading. We just don't know.

i just remembering they were wonderful... more so with mustard... or dipped in chili.
