Hi All, thanks for opening @Angie ma, I hope eberyone is doing alright amd those who felt like crap yesterday or today feel better soon.
I am originally from Bosnia and one of famous desserts is baklava followed by bariety of cakes covered and soaked in sugar melted in water.

Hi! I'm from southeastern Brazil. Some traditional desserts where I live are homemade dulce de leche, green papaya jam, and homemade fruit preserves, especially fig, guava, and bitter orange. They're simple, homemade desserts that are very common at family gatherings and always remind me of my childhood.
I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which is technically in the Northeast USA, kind of Mid-Atlantic, but it's right on the border of the Midwest. Also considered to potentially be Appalachia and the Rust Belt, depending on how specific you're getting with regions. We're a bit hard to pin down. A dessert that's popular here is strawberry pretzel salad. It's got a crust made out of pretzels, then a sweet cream cheese in the middle, then it's topped with strawberries in Jell-O. Some sources say that strawberry pretzel salad was invented here in Pittsburgh, but there doesn't seem to be much specific compelling evidence, so I'm not sure.
Brazilian food is so good! We used to have a nice little Brazilian restaurant in my city, but it closed down a few years ago. I didn't get to go too often, but I loved the pão de queijo, the feijoada, and the brigadeiros. Now we only have a couple of fancier all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse chains. But I don't really like that style of restaurant. I miss Casa Brasil.
Well, I'm from southeastern Brazil as @Suyon, and the most popular dessert here is brigadeiro. It is a very simple recipe, only taking some 2 or 3 ingredients (condensed milk, powered cocoa and milk cream)
I think "bolo de cenoura" (carrot cake) is also a very popular dessert here, with the batter made out of carrot, flour, oil and eggs and the frosting made out of brigadeiro.
There are other traditional brazilian desserts that are really popular (bolinho de chuva, pé-de-moleque, arroz-doce, pamonha), but people don't do it around here as much.

IDK if there is a dessert that is specific to my region. I can say that we have a specific candy company that makes salt water taffy that everyone visits when in the area. This is the area at the entrance to Rocky Mtn National Park - so it gets a lot of traffic.
When I read "hummingbird pie," my first thought was that this would not be a nice thing to do to the hummingbirds. Aside from that, how are you going to capture enough hummingbirds to make a pie? Must be my overly literal brain again.
