Hello all! It's kinda been a bit since I opened up here, but I guess I'll do it today.

How's everybody doing?
I am going to a baseball game early this afternoon. (My favorite team, the San Francisco Giants, are in Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates.) In honor of that I will make today's challenge just to watch something enjoyable if you can. Maybe just a short Youtube video, perhaps a full movie, or even, if you're as lucky as I am, a live event. Tell us about what you've watched when you're done.

I will provide some traditional ballpark fare like hot dogs, pizza, and ice cream, even though I personally plan on bringing food from outside the park to save money. I think there is a place near the library where I am going to print out my ticket that sells fried fish and chicken. That sounds good. Hope everyone's having a good day!

Well Le Tour has started so I had no problem finding something enjoyable to watch, and for food I'll go for the French style hot dog in a baguette.
Those hot dogs sound good.

My dad likes cycling and has always been really into watching the Tour de France even though the way he pronounces it drives my mother who teaches French crazy. She tunes in sometimes too mostly to see the French countryside and to look for places she recognizes from her trips there. I've been to France once as well, so I might know a few of the places, but I looked up the route and do not recognize the names of the places they are going through as places I have been to. (I was mostly in the Alps on my trip. I don't doubt they will go there some time on the route.) I used to like watching it but became disenchanted years ago. Floyd Landis was born and raised in Lancaster County, PA, just like me, in a community less than 30 miles northeast of where I grew up. We were all cheering for him when he was in the Tour in 2006 and were proud when he appeared to have won. So many people I know were supporting him even when he was accused of doping, and my father took me to see him talk at a nearby bookstore when he released a book the following year about how he was innocent. Needless to say that whole situation was extremely difficult. I was about 13 when he was in the Tour.

I liked Lance Armstrong when he did the tour but those stuff are brutal to ride.

Sold some stuff that I grew in the fish tank today as its been my first day off with no work or family obligations.

Low key day for me and I'm dealing with the dilemma of going to get tacos for dinner this late or just do protein shake for meal replacement

Yeah, it did sour things a bit for a while @baywasp , but like all sports all they can do is try to keep a bit of a cap on it and keep pushing on. Anything with that amount of money unfortunately is always going to have this kind of element involved, it's what turns me off most main stream sports, but I make an exception for this and the Olympics.
