Today I was out a lot of the day. Did a puzzle - will try take a picture to post, finished it today, saw a friend. I'm feeling weird. Kinda good and kinda bad. So, yeah. All's good though. Trying to do just the next right thing. And do my part.

Oh, my! Roast beast dinner with Yorkshire pudd! Mmmmm. And "everything" burgers, and delightfully colorful pizza, cakes, cookies and doughnuts (to match the balloons?). And the jazz is a perfect accompaniment!

My foodie contribution: I bought a new toy for my kitchen today...a veggie spiralizer...

As you can see, it makes nice spiral strips of veggies (that you can use like noodles).​

We have zucchini, turnip, parsnips, carrots, and acorn squash, lightly sauteed with
some thinly sliced onions and crushed garlic...

Choose a sauce and enjoy!​

And for dessert, a lemon granita (lemon ice).

Cold and refreshing!

I'm not feeling great. I'm mired in some deep anxiety and low self esteem today and I'm trying to keep from falling apart. So looking ahead to something positive, we're celebrating my dad's birthday tomorrow so I'm serving up ice cream cake. Hope you are all having a better day than me.
