Good morning all.

I was trying to finish my coffee when I realized that the Cafe had better coffee. I came back and re-dusted and opened. I'm hoping that all will join me whether they drink tea, coffee, soda, and other liquid refreshments :)

It's Thanksgiving weekend in the USA, Thursday being the celebration. It's a day of being thankful and grateful for the life we have. I had dinner one year with a family of American Indian descent and all during the dinner they bashed the holiday because of what the white people did to their ancesters. They did not realize how lucky they were in spite of the history of their people. I mean, why celebrate if it is a holiday not to be remembered.

I am hosting the family this year; it went from 5 people to 14. I have a tiny house so it will be buffet style. It will be a crazy couple of hours but fun. My family is unusual because we like to hang out with one another. I'm finding that it is unusual.

So, if you are from the USA, have a chair and tell us how you plan to celebrate. If not, tell us of your plans for the weekend. I guess Black Friday is getting to be a big event all over the world; tell us what you plan to do shopping wise. Otherwise tell us what your plans are for the weekend or just stop by and have a drink!

I love the scent of fresh coffee in here. Hi, and thanks @cymbele . I might splash a little drop of spirits into my coffee later this evening. ;)
Happy Thanksgiving wellness to all; U.S. and everywhere, everyone.

Cymbele I respect the comments that you mintioned the American Indian people had about Thanksgiving. I feel thankful for the fact that things aren't any worse in the world at the moment. I guess that is stating it negatively, but it is how I feel. Also thankful for: the part of me who is a believer in the power of love, the wildness of nature and this earth, equality, and affirming the identity of all kinds of people.

Thanksgiving day/evening is a great time to fill your house with people and food for a couple of hours. I hope they help clean up too :D. I'll be roasting a turkey and making several sides and an apple pie. Some family coming over and a couple of family friends, and that will be enough. I aslo have a tiny house. Some of them are sleeping here.
On Black Friday I will not be shopping, I will be hiking, and then stopping for a drink or a coffee here in town. Hopefully the weather's going to refrain fron snowing during the hike.

A Happy Upcoming Thanksgiving to all. :) This week for me is finish up work for the week tomorrow and then nothing until the family meets up Saturday afternoon. Other than the Saturday get together nothing really planned except to be lazy, relax and take things easy. I only did Black Friday once decades ago and that time was enough for me to understand that I don't care getting up too early even for things I like to do or want to do and putting up with rude and obnoxious folks around me ready to throw down in a pier six brawl over nonsense.

I plan to have turkey dinner with family on Thanksgiving. Sometime this weekend I want to see the new movie The Fabelmans in the cinema. I also want to watch Glass Onion on Netflix. Thank you for tagging me @Bergerac
Oh yeah also I hope I get to spend Thanksgiving night hanging out with my cousin. We usually do that every Thanksgiving.

Thanks for opening and the tag @cymbele. I'm a day late (I know trying to get better at this...my New Year's resolution for this year....)

For Thanksgiving we'll be spending it with 2 friends who used to live close by and I invited a friend who was going to eat alone for the buffet here where we live (yes I'm in a 55+ HOA community).... so gives Harold a day off of cooking and is good besides.

When Harold's mom was alive for many years we would host her and her friends over so had 13 or more...was fun and have many fond memories of those Thanksgivings. It is so easy given all that microly/macroly happens in the world to overlook the seemingly simple joys in life such as the morning sun, the first snowfall or the autumn leaves...

Wishing all who celebrate the very best and for those who don't we can save you some turkey and stuffing if you'd like. But seriously.... I am thankful especially for one and all here who all provide support, encouragement, friendship, and laughter. Thank you.
