Hey everyone!

I feel like opening the cafe today and just wants to see how everyone's doing :)

Today's question is: What do you do to relax?
This also could be about what do you do for your self-care! It really could be about anything; cooking, gardening, reading, listening to music, even sleeping :D

Feel free to chat here, share anything good/positive you see today or anything interesting, and have a great time!

My answer to the question: I mostly listen to music and be in my own world. When I get bored and burn out, I would go out just to spend my time by myself doing random things like eating, go see a movie, or do a little bit of shopping. It usually makes me feel a little bit better and bring my energy back. Sometimes even not talking to anyone for a day really helps :D

Hey puffymilk, thanks so much for opening a cafe for today, and for tagging me too! :) I hope you’ve been well, I’m pretty good overall.

What I do to relax is usually read, watch a funny show or movie, play games or have a bath. I love shopping too, but only “fun” shopping like for clothes or other cool stuff like that lol. Grocery shopping is kind of a chore for me tbh. Been trying to do a bit of meditation too but it takes some getting used to for sure.

Good/positive/interesting things from today - Well, it’s still quite early morning here, but some good things so far are:

- Watching my sweet lil kitty looking out my bedroom window (she loves doing that lol)
- Eating some chocolate
- The fact that it’s not raining right now (been a lot of rain here for the last couple weeks)
- That my friend will be coming over again in about 4 hours or so :)

I’ll do some more tags, I think you got most of the regulars though ;)

Thank you, I'm doing pretty good overall as well :)

I agree on what you said about grocery shopping. Just thinking about it is pretty damn exhausting :D Thankfully there's this app here that can help me with that (online grocery shopping) and the delivery cost isn't that expensive, and they usually have a ton of vouchers and promotions for me to use

Thank you for this question @puffymilk, and for the tag.

i feel honored to read about how others relax, which then gives me ideas i hadn't thought about to try.
What do you do to relax?
Right now it's music. Being able to surround myself within it's grasp is relaxing. Also petting my loving feline. He always knows when i need it and insists on being on me. Often in ways that are very frustrating (he is NOT small). So when he is relentless...(and if i am Willing to recognize it) i know i need to Stop whatever it is i am doing and just wrap my arms around him. Like now lol!

good morning café

Thanks for the tag @puffymilk; god idea - this is should be pinned or whatever because it's important.

Thanks to @Lisa the Goatgirl for the lols, because laughing at stuff is one of the ways I can get myself to relax.

Looking, breathing in the scents, listening to quiet places, specifically in real life at trees, plants, and flowers relaxes me.
The best relaxation ever for me was being at an uncrowded beach, walking or just sitting watching waves.

Sketching and painting in my journals and sketchbooks.

Baths and swimming.

Sleeping. : )

I am like many, reading is a good way to relax. Another one is fishing in the tank behind the house which is stocked with catch and release perch, great way to be lazy and unwind. If I am in a creative bent woodworking and carpentry are good ones also and I may be able to put together that can be of beauty and use to those I build for. With the Spring weather getting out the telescope and binoculars is a great way, the slow down of the night and the peace and quiet adds a lot to that calm feeling.

The best way I relax and distract myself is light exercise like tai chi or walking outside. I read before i sleep which helps to settle my mind although lately I have been reading light suspense books which keep me agitated at times. But the real world doesn't intrude and that is ok in my "book."
