Hello all! Cold cold night here , so cold in fact al the schools have already cancelled for tomorrow- supposed to be -20f (-29c ) before windchill by morning - is currently -10f (--23c) and snowing. Just trying to stay inside and warm and waiting for this month and its horrible weather to pass.... Hot chocolate, and fresh baked cookies will be on the menu for tomorrow. Tonight is pot roast and gravy with carrots and potatoes and fresh baked rolls. Something about really warm nice winter meals makes the crazy cold more tolerable.

It's midnight. I've had a rough day. Having trouble with financial aid at school and Spurs had a rough game against West Ham (nobody posts in my Premier League thread anymore). I fell asleep after the game and woke up after 10 pm. My sleep schedule is so off, and I'm supposed to start school next week. It's too cold here (but not as cold as where @JmpMster is thankfully). And I just noticed I ripped the knee of my favorite pants... if they were jeans that might be okay, but they aren't. :/ Just wanna sleep forever.

I feel for you; I hate days like that when everything just seems to pile up and there's always that last straw! I dropped my pack of smarties last night and bawled my eyes out for like 10 minutes!

But always remember, it could be worse, you could be a millwall fan!! ;)

Seriously though, hope you're ok and here with a manly high five or a good old soppy hug if you need it; keep going, there's hedgehogs out there that need us!! :)

That made me smile. Thank you.
I am doing a bit better today. My financial aid stuff seems a bit more manageable now. I just have to do a little bit of paperwork and explain that my mental health has been affecting my schoolwork, and I should be able to keep going and hopefully graduate when I expect, which was the big worry of mine because I just want to finish with my degree that I've been working on on and off since 2011.

Good, smiling is definitly a step in the right direction! Sometimes I'm worried about sending light hearted messages but I think they're often just as important as the advice ones. Was a bit concerned I may have offended you with the football reference!! Lol.

What degree are you doing? If you don't mind me asking?

I'm studying psychology... working on my bachelor's right now. Eventually want to get my PhD someday if I can, but my grades aren't the best, so getting into a program might be hard for me.

Good on you. It's only later in life, with all my issues, that I wish I'd studied psychology. I'm tempted to do a short course in it, and I am reading all sorts about it, but I cannot believe how much I've learned just talking to people on here and my counsellor.

Our education system is slightly different her, but I'm guessing a program is something like an apprentiship or scholarship?

Well good luck to you, and I truly hope you reach your goal; I think you'd make a fine addition to the field of psychology!
