Jim's Cafe - Tues.Apr.30, 2024

Heyy everyone, omg! Thank you all soo much for replying here! Yesterday was quite a good day for me, after floundering kinda horribly for the last few days, I had a really great talk with a good friend who was definitely “there for me” in the best possible way so I am definitely feeling deeply grateful to that friend right now. I was kinda starting to “lose hope” about some things, so the kindness, caring and responsiveness they showed to me at a time when I needed that very much absolutely made all the difference in the world for me, big time

Anyway between expressing my gratitude for that and then actually being a bit “busy” in the eve with some things, I had no chance to post anything here before now. I’m absolutely delighted with all the replies, and especially the ones who took the time to answer those questions I asked. Always wanting to do cafes/themes people will “like” and want to join in with, but it can be very hard to think of the “theme” ideas. Also didn’t ever want to be doing themes that people really didn’t like either lol, so again, there was absolutely a purpose with why I asked those ones. As for the b&w collage one, just hadn’t felt very sure if people would find that cool or interesting in any way or not. I’m really glad to see that they would, because it’s very easy to make any pic be in black and white lol. So next cafe I do, I will make the collage have all black and white pics in it

One last quick thing, I love that another person also said “spiders” for a theme they would never want to see, and also lol @Lisa the Goatgirl saying that about a “spider appreciation cafe” well hmm, there is only ONE way I might be able to handle such a theme as that - under NO circumstances would there be a single pic posted of one. Lol, the only ones that don’t freak me out quite so much are the ones with much thinner legs, other than that, omg no, one of the creepiest living things in this world. Sorry to any “spider lovers” out there but ya they just scare me silly as I said in my reply to the q’s post lol :p

Oops almost forgot, meant to also say that I love those pics that were posted there @seabird they’re so beautiful and amazing! 😮😍🥰❤️ And also wanted to also thank everyone who picked a fave pic or pics from the collage too, and those who gave such kind compliments about the pics, I appreciate that so deeply because I do try hard to pick pics that are good quality/well done, with nice colors and in a nice style

eh. Been better, been worse. Everything since the 1st of the year has been blech.

Nothing at all. So... same as usual. Sit on the couch and look at my computer until it's time to sit on the couch and look at the TV.

No, why? Black and white are colours too. There is a lot of interesting art and photos that are black and white themed.

Trust, I would have done them already lol You're doing great!

If I didn't care for the ideas / theme of the cafe that day then I simply wouldn't post in it. I think everyone is the same. As long as it's not crazy controversial, it will be okay. (and Valentines day themes - those never go well either)

Thanks for the feedback/support about what you’d like/not like for the cafes too, all of the feedback people have given here about that has been hugely helpful And lol ya exactly what you said there about “if you didn’t like the theme you wouldn’t post in that cafe” is a huge part of why I asked about these things too, so that hopefully all the ones posted will always be ones people like, enjoy and want to reply in. Always wondering if there’s something people wish would be “done more” or done less, but from the majority of the replies it seems I’ve maybe worried a bit too much about that, lol!

2. Do you have any plans for today? Today is technically Thursday, so I'm going to go watch Spurs at the pub and then go to a concert in the evening.

Certain things I'm not too into myself, but if I can't find something to relate to in the theme, I can still pop in and say hi or just choose to not participate that day. No big deal.
