Thanks for the tag and opening the cafe @JMG
I really like winter actually. I don't have to be hot and sticky and gross all the time. There are roaring fires and plenty of coffee and hot chocolate to go around. There are Christmas markets and fun iconography. There's not much I DONT like, aside of the dull grey weather.

1. What is one of your favorite things about winter?
The snow can be really pretty. I like Christmas. I like the Christmas decorations (especially lights), and Christmas music.
2. What is one of your least favorite things about winter?
It's cold and it's dark, everything looks kind of dead unless there's snow. Skies are grey even in the day. Power outages are most common then. The snow is a pain in the ass to clear and drive in. Windshield frost.

Historically there's a lot of traffic, though so far it's either been less or I've managed to dodge it.

Wow some replies already, awesome, tysm @Walker & @GodIsWithMe & @may71 lol tried to make the q's be ones where it was hard for people to put 1 word answers lol oh well I do try to get convos going guess I'm just not very good at it.
Have a nice day everyone, here's my answers to the q's too for anyone who maybe cares to read them :p

1. What is one of your favorite things about winter?
I like when it snows in terms of how the snow looks (esp. falling down) just don't like having to walk in it.

2. What is one of your least favorite things about winter?
How cold it can sometimes get and also how it's dark a lot of the time. Definitely always feel relief when the days start getting a bit longer and it's not so dark anymore (ie when spring comes lol)

3. Do you like watching snow falling down?
Yup, I find it very calming and enchanting :)

4. Do you celebrate Christmas? If you do, do you have anything special planned for this year?
Yup, and not really just the usual going to my sis's which is always nice.

5. What is something you feel grateful for right now?
My cat, art, this site, chocolate and other yummy food I'm able to eat, lots of things :)

Thank you for the tag and the Cafe and the pretty pics:)Hope you are having a wonderful day @JMG
Winter here means it's not humid hot and we can be outside a lot more. Lots of soups, I can enjoy teas during the whole day and no mosquitos so I can have the doors open for fresh air in the house.
I don't like losing the daylight by 5pm.
I like watching snowfall. It's peaceful, serene.
I celebrate the Solstice.
Grateful for SF and those here.

Hey @JMG thanks for the invite. Haven’t seen you in a while - bc I’ve been a bit absent lately. can you believe it - its already the end of the year. still feels like february!!! Love the cozy looking house…

Questions

0. Any special plans for the week or anything else you feel like talking about? on thursday i have an appointment with my primary care physician. that by itself is nothing impressive and if i were to go into detail could verge onto tmi, (fortunately there is nothing that would be inappropriate to talk about with this visit). it is just that i’m optimistic that a letter i’m requesting will be provided and this is something i’ll be very happy to finally get accomplished.
1. What is one of your favorite things about winter? deep deep virgin snow with huge drifts late at night and the laughter of happy people out enjoying it while it lasts.
2. What is one of your least favorite things about winter? deep grey/brown slushy wet snow on the sidewalks and in the streets that don’t look deep at all but are waiting for your underprotected foot to step in.
3. Do you like watching snow falling down? yes. and sometimes it swirls back up or left to right/right to left for prolonged times and almost seems like it going the wrong way. so much fun to watch.
4. Do you celebrate Christmas? in my mind only these days. If you do, do you have anything special planned for this year? maybe a sibling will be making dinner but there’s no decision yet.
5. What is something you feel grateful for right now? hoping that i’m not getting too ahead of myself but it seems like soon i will be able to talk about what i’m generally very cryptic about up to now. its a great time to feel optimistic so i’m even grateful to be able to feel optimistic.

Hey @JMG thanks for the tag and great cafe!
There isnt much I like about winter, the snow where I live is beautiful and rarely gets to a level of dingy, dirtiness you may see in a bigger city, I enjoy how pristine everything looks under a mound of white snow.
No big plans for Christmas.
I am grateful to be able to walk.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Thank you for opening Cafe @JMG and tagging me. awesome graphics too.

1). I like the stillness of winter, that's the first thing that came to my mind.

2) least favorite things, soooo cold, bare trees, if I had an active family, no cook outs, walks in the park, etc.

3) yes, I'd love to be snowed in this year.

4) I do celebrate Christmas. My niece is coming over and I have some special gifts for her. I get lottery tickets for everyone. We just chill and eat. Just me and my daughter.

5) I'm grateful for my health, sorry to boring folks. Screenshot_20211207-172350.jpg

Thanks for opening @JMG I was thinking I should take a plunge and open one up but you did and I am happy to have one. Good pictures also.

1. What is one of your favorite things about winter? Snow and Christmas
2. What is one of your least favorite things about winter? Like @extraterrestrialone said, the mushy dirty snow and scraping the windshield in order to get to work. In years when we don't get much or no snow then the grounds look grungy because after all it is dirt and dead grass and empty trees. No color whatsoever

3. Do you like watching snow falling down? Depends, generally yes..
4. Do you celebrate Christmas? If you do, do you have anything special planned for this year? Yes, I celebrate and on the actual holiday I will most likely be alone.
5. What is something you feel grateful for right now? I'm in a good headspace now so there are too many things to be grateful for

1. What is one of your favorite things about winter?

The chillier weather suits me far better than Summer.

2. What is one of your least favorite things about winter?

When it is chillier than I like when waking up, the whole it feels colder in Winter and hotter in Summer at the same temperature from the way you sense it that way in and outside.

3. Do you like watching snow falling down?

Snow is pretty rare here, but it is fun to see.

4. Do you celebrate Christmas? If you do, do you have anything special planned for this year?

Not so much for myself but always fun when you have little children in the family to do it up for nicely.

5. What is something you feel grateful for right now?

No major issues on my health, all things good or in remission. :)
