twitter - I feel like it's gone so downhill in recent years, I see so much ignorance, arrogance, pettiness, narrow-mindedness, judgementalness, immaturity, hate, bullying, people thinking it's cool to be dickheads, stupid arguments, sweeping ignorant statements about mental health and personal problems etc, it does my head in. I saw something recently that said twitter is where people who are shit go to let out their nastiness and prove how shit they are, and I agree. There's so much of it now it ruins the positives of the site.

the smell of shoe polish- when I was a kid my dad used to sit on the bottom step of the stairs every sunday night and polish his shoes before work the next day, I've never seen anyone else use shoe polish so if I happen to smell it somewhere it brings me straight back to watching my dad cleaning his shoes when I was a kid!

grandfather clocks- I'm not sure I ever saw one in real life but for some reason I remember a lot of kids books I read when I was a kid had a grandfather clock in them?! (90's) so now I have this strong association of grandfather clocks relating to being a kid even though I don't get the correlation 2

What's your favourite type of weather?
hot and sunny although I love snow too, but I hate the cold, so I have to pick summer weather

• invisibility - because people don't usually notice what I'm doing anyway/don't hear me or see me coming- I've scared so many people and had lots of "WHERE THE HELL DID YOU COME FROM?!" moments
• telepathy - because I'm usually really good at reading people
• precognition - because I already have vivid dreams and some of them have come true in real life
• shapeshifting - because everyone says I'm really good at acting and mimicking others

years ago I was having a family meal in a restaurant and didn't realize the table behind us had been listening in.... or maybe I was louder than I thought I was... so when they got up to leave and walked past our table one of the men stopped and said to me "I enjoyed your sense of humour tonight!"

Babysitting. It's strange cos despite the fact that I had no choice about doing it and therefore did not enjoy "having" to do it, I've still done lots of it for $ over the years & was fine with it. Maybe cos it felt like it was making up for all the unpaid hours I did it or something, who knows.

Sunny without being too hot or blinding (spring sun rather than summer sun I guess lol. Autumn sun is very beautiful too though.)

Being able to snap my fingers & have everything be clean or put in better order I guess cos I actually enjoy organizing and sometimes even enjoy cleaning (or at least feel a lot of satisfaction once it's done which makes it kinda rewarding imo) as well.

Soaking wet from downpour, definitely. Having a sunburn sux esp. when mixed with sunstroke (had that when I was 11, it was dreadful but I learned a lot from it & never got so badly burned like that again)

Yes. It was about 5 or more years ago now, but a random guy on the bus once said he thought I was beautiful which was very shocking to me. He prob. just thought I looked sad and felt bad for me but it was a nice surprise nonetheless ❤

   Oo, tough one. If I'm being completely honest with myself.. I think I'd have shapeshifting, because I always find for work that I have to be able to be different kinds of people to suit what kind of job it is and what they need from me.
   
   And then possibly something to do with either spontaneously letting out fire in rages because am hot head, or accidentally killing someone with a glare because they coughed too loudly or didn'T EAT WITH THEIR MOUTH CLOSED (and then would probs be followed by spontaneous fire, most likely out of my nostrils).

Generally I don't use social media, but ironically enough I do use Instagram (to watch memes and suppor artists) even if I hate it the most.

A few times. A drunk guy called me an angel just out of the blue once when I was a kid. Don't remember where (maybe Boston?) An interesting lady came up to me and said "Don't listen to what people say. You're beautiful" when I was living in San Francisco. I've also gotten compliments on my beard and my hair from strangers here in Pittsburgh. And I'm not sure if I should take this as a compliment, but also in San Francisco, someone told me "You look like you about to go kill someone" which I thought was at least really funny.

Capricorn. ( I know, i'm the sign of the goat, shocking right?)

Probably Instagram. I'm not saying everyone that uses it is like this, but it seems to draw some of the worst people. The success of those videos that are like "Hey dudes, you know that moment when you're chilling with your gf and the woman you're cheating on her with calls you?" attests to that.

So much 80s music. And i don't mean like synthwave, i mean the stuff the 80s kinda wishes you'd forget. It usually gets associated now with people who were teenagers or young adults in the 80s, but i was born in '94, and my childhood was saturated with things like Genesis, Level 42, or Mike & the Mechanics.

Probably for sheer appreciation's sake, heavy rain and thunderstorms. I find staring out the window from the comfort of my warm, dry house really relaxing. Plus every so often i find it really refreshing to go wander about in it for a while.

Hmm, probably the ability to compel people to seeing things my way, a la Kilgrave from Jessica Jones. Except i'd use it to be like "You, give that sandwich to that homeless dude. You, quit gaslighting your gf. Etc..."
This one is cause i tend to be a solid debater, and i feel like i'm decent at getting into people's heads (in a good way i mean. )

That or the ability to make music spontaneously play from the aether, because i often daydream about being able to live my life to music like that.

Soaking wet from a downpour, hands down, Not only is that one you can quickly resolve, but the process of getting dry and warm again is actually really nice, whereas recovering from a sunburn tends to just be kinda painful and itchy.

Well, it's kind of an odd one, but i'm gonna count the various times women have approached me and asked me if i wanted to Netflix & Chill. (That terminology has even been used sometimes.) Even though it's a little awkward since i have to explain they're kinda lacking in a Y chromosome for my tastes, i appreciate that they found me attractive enough to just walk up to me and offer that.

• Something like healing- a lot of my friends and people I've met along the way have told me I have a special ability to help people. It has gotten to be not much journalism just post up crap from Twitter showing what every person with a Twitter feed has to say about the subject of the article.

(e.g. not playgrounds or toys) Not from childhood but young manhood would be my cut throat/straight razor, mug and brush. My dad died when I was about to turn 9 but my maternal grandfather taught me to shave and until so sick with cancer he couldn't he used a straight razor. I inherited his and the accessories he used. If you know the technique of the blade and the prep with the warm, moist towel and all like you see on some TV and movie and can properly strop a razor it is closer than a disposable and world above closer than an electric.
