Hello SF and good morning (day/evening) to you!

Today I have therapy at 1pm, which is great cuz therapist was on vacay last week!

Tomorrow is mammogram and bone density test at the hospital.

Thursday a friend is coming over for crochet and a natter.

Think I'll have hot links for lunch with baked beans. @KM76710 you make your own hot links I'm betting!

So, cheese! Do you have a favorite kind? Or several favorites depending on what you are serving?

Lets hear it for cheese!

Thanks for tagging me!

First thought was “Do they use the the mammogram thing to stress-test your bones? Like see how much force it takes to crush them? Also, I don’t think you should have bones in your boo… Wait, those are probably separate tests.“

So, cheese! Do you have a favorite kind? Or several favorites depending on what you are serving?
Could definitely go for some brie with fig jam.

And Old Croc cheddar.

A big giggle here!

I am a moderate fan of cheese I think *shh
I do like eating it, but I don't eat it that often and I don't like to overload my pizza with it..

Anyway:
I love blue cheese on pizza
I love seasoned snacking cheeses with grapes
I love Estonian cheese to add to sandwiches and pizza.
I love grated hard cheese on pasta, which apparently is from Lithuania @Addicted

Well done for keeping up with your mammograms - as you know, it's a topic very close to my heart (the topic that is, as the boobs are already close to the heart 😂)

I had a hospital appointment yesterday for my shoulder. I've got to now have an MRI but it looks like it'll have to be surgery.

Today I'm working from home which me and my dog love :)

Mmmmm... Cheese ❤️
The only cheese I've found so far that I don't like, I encountered on holiday in Sardinia called Casu Martzu. During fermentation they add a type of fly to it which lay eggs inside. The resulting maggots produce a stomach enzyme which breaks down the cheese inside to make it very soft. Some people eat the live maggots along with the cheese while others pick them out.
Unsurprisingly I turned down the offer to try it 🤮

My favourites are feta, mozzarella (I make my own), stilton and a good extra strong cheddar.

Ooh…cheese! I love most cheeses: cheddar, blue (Danish, Gorgonzola, Stilton…), brie, camembert, havarti, feta, goat cheese, mozzarella, cream cheese, ricotta, raclette, Edam, parmesan…I love cheese! I’m supposed to limit my cheese intake because of cholesterol…meaning I used to eat an awful lot of cheese, and now that I’ve cut back, it’s a treat when I do have some.

To any and all with tests and appointments (ugh, tests) — always good to take care of ourselves! I hope they go well! @Gonz — too funny! *rofl

@Sunspots — I don’t blame you for passing up the opportunity to try fly-infested cheese. Hey, just the idea is great for my cholesterol level! :D

My day, and I’m always slow to start…leave enough time to make lunch to take to a committee meeting held over lunch hour, buy coffee filters, figure out what to have for dinner (I need to up the veggie count again), finish reading book for Thursday’s book club gathering.

Yesterday…was my appointment day. But before my appointment, went to the park and fed birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. :) Had one little chippie who scampered halfway up my calf, another who thought a ride on my purse could be part of the game…they are so cute!

Chipmunks??? I'm sooooo envious! I've only ever seen one once in captivity - they're adorable ❤️

anything is good for salads or with fruit. actually salads tend to include everything I have

what I use most often -

cheddar for cooking, oven baked mac n cheese, potato casseroles

sharp cheddar for grilled cheese sandwiches, topping chili, or sprinkled on popcorn

smoked swiss for snacking - smoked oysters on crackers, with homemade jalapeno sauce

mmmm, I love this time of year when the temps drop, leaves turn red and gold, and comfort food rules

peace
:)

Cheese, it's own food group. I don't eat as much as I would probably like to but it's always in the refrigerator. Soft cheeses like bries and goats, ricotta and marscapone and halloumi and then all the hard cheeses for making macaroni and cheese and grilled cheeses. Two I can't get past are blue cheeses and limburger....

We had a tradition for years of always doing a large pastry encrusted baked brie on New Year's Eve that we would make......it was always the first thing to go.....

There’s this Norwegian brown cheese I really like. It’s kinda got a sweet taste to it. The brand I’ve seen in the US is called Ski Queen, but I’ve not seen it anywhere for quite a while. Cheese in general is pretty good. Tried some nice ones when I went to France a while back. Was staying in the region specializing in Reblochon and had a wonderful Tomme de Chèvre too.
As far as my day, I didn’t go to my morning class because I needed a break. But I’m going to grab some coffee and dinner and go to my evening class, even if I don’t really feel like doing anything.

Wow, exciting important week Angie!!! and thanks for the tag and waking up old memories. feels like I haven't been to a Jim's Café since IDK!!!

As for favorite CHEESE, YAY!!!!!
my list probably can go on for a mile. Stilton Blue may head the list and triple cream brie too but so many are favorites.

I've seen my therapist this week already 😅....

a thought: While old friends may suddenly decide to hurt "you" and toss "you" out, new ones show up and welcome "you" in. With luck and a smile, so be it for me. (and for anyone else who has been hurt by an ended old friendship). life goes on.

Now I'll go grab a cup of coffee, a croissant and my favorite seat by the window. and thanks again for the café even though I'm a little late. 👽

I'm addicted to cottage cheese and have been since I was a kid. My grandma used to mix sugar in it. I prefer large curd, but it's high in sodium so I try to limit myself now.

I also live in a state known for cheese making, so it's pretty much a part of life here.

@Angie I have and sometimes still do make my own hot links and sausages, but admit as I get older and even lazier it is rarer with how easy it is to let someone else do the messy work.

I do like most variety of cheeses especially cheddar whether sliced on burgers or shredded for a variety of uses and mascarpone is a cheese and a dessert treat all in one. I have never been a cheese holic type though and even as a kid I never cared for mac and cheese. But for burgers, Tex-Mex and Italian it is a must. :)
