So glad the cafe is open so I can relax a while and decompress from school. Thanks, @Witty_Sarcasm. And thanks for preparing the food and tea, @nobodyknows71. I satisfied the challenge this morning... no one was around, so I sang! Was pretty nice, even though I'm still kind of sick so my voice isn't the best right now. I still enjoyed it, which was kind of the point.

I found out today that my new therapist I was supposed to see on Friday transferred me without telling me, so I had to reschedule with a different therapist at a different location (closer to my house than the one I was scheduled to before, but not as close as the one I did my intake at.) I have no clue why they have so many locations so near to each other. It's weird. And my new new therapist is going to be away this Friday, so I won't see her til next week. So maddening.

The Cafรฉ is open... :) @Witty_Sarcasm Thank you very much for opening! And also to @nobodyknows71 for scones and little sandwiches! Oooh, may I have a strawberry dacquiri? (That will make two things I enjoy today...?) Earlier today, I had a coffee mid-afternoon. I love a quiet moment and a cup of really good coffee. (I'm sort of a cheap date. lol)

Wishing everyone a good evening with something nice/enjoyable!

and observe. I mean, watching from the sidelines is really important....

I'm sorry @bayswasp, that sucks :(

Something I enjoyed today was seeing the gorgeous weather that had today.

Trying to just stay safe and live in the moment, which really struggling with.

Take care all

Since Codys @cgh0991 last nights challenge of eating a weetbix which I ever never have heard of til yesterday and was so curious what its all about.

I found a version the brits I believe eat this stuff? Weetabix at the local food store 3.99 USD for a box (cheaper than most cereals regular priced) it wasn't in the regular cereal section it was hidden amongst speciality stuff like gluten free or organic section. No wonder why ive never seen it as I am rarely in that section. How its packed isn't like a regular cereal either.

Interesting texture. I bit into one of the bricks and it was very crumbly. I was expecting it to be firm like a crunchy granola bar I am used to. Its not like a shredded wheats either.

I actually felt good after eating them quick. They sure do soak up the milk quick but I started with half a brick I alteady bit into and learned how to eat it as I go. This stuff is sugarless but decent healthier over many american cereals ive ate. I am now curious about the weetbix vs weetabix taste. This probably will be one of the cereals I will have around my cupboard for sure.

As I've been eating Weetbix my whole life (it's an Aussie staple) I'll give you a few tips! Take a few weetbix, crumble them up into smaller pieces (very important) pour milk in and sprinkle with some raw sugar! They do absorb the milk very quickly so maybe add some more if needed. I've never heard of Weetabix... I'll have to google that. I think the reason they're so popular is because they are really cheap and fairly healthy.

Anyway, if anyone needs tips on how to eat Australian foods, I'll be here all day in the corner decorated with all things Australian. Ironically, it also happens to be Australia Day here too - Jan. 26th. So quite fitting actually! :)

@Kira75

Will have to find a weetbix version and taste it as well as I'm also on the hunt for the tim tams apparently its a big thing over there? Walmart here sells them online so I might order one or two boxes and even do a slam version. I am excited to try something new @avalanchefan95 im normally not into trying new foods but hey why not? Something educational and it turned out decent for me.

Cheers and happy Aussie day to everyone

I'm also a late visitor tonight, but seeing as @Witty_Sarcasm was kind enough to open us up and @WatchingPlanesFlyBy was offering daiquiris, I'll be staying a bit. It is nice to have a daiquiri (or two :)) and not have to worry about driving home. I love the chauffeur service the cafe has. Who will be our driver tonight?

I went for my first walk after my foot injury and it was glorious. It was cold for Southern California, but I think I ought not reveal the temperature or others will know what a wimp I am.:D

@baywasp, I am sorry that they made a change without notifying you. That is hard. I don't think they always know how hard it can be to wait for just a few more days to see someone. As long as all that change is happening, can you make an appointment at the place where you did intake?

You did NOT! OMFG. This cannot be happening in my lifetime.
I do remember having to explain why we say "hang up the phone" and also "slam the phone down"
Haha yes, I did have to explain it to them :P They may not know of phones other than cell phones. They may soon be reading about these in history books. lol

OMG!
@DrownedFishOnFire @Kira75 described eating a Weetabix really well. There's such a thing as weetbix? Or was that a typo? Except it isn't as complicated as she makes out to be. Just put 2 in a bowl, add some milk, and, eat. Sugar does add flavouring, when I was a kid I used to add some (now I don't eat the stuff, don't have anything with milk) and is definetly a whole lot better than the sugary American cereals. You can also get, as someone posted yesterday, the Minibix. That's a version of weeabix just much smaller and with fruit or stuff (usually. unless it's plain) inside them. They're firmer for some reason. Enjoy your cereal!
@avalanchefan95 @Witty_Sarcasm that is seriously funny. My sister actually has in her apartment that she's renting a rotary dial phone hanging on the wall. I think it can actually work. It's on the wall. Mahogany. She doesn't use it though. I want one!
Why would someone not know what a phone is? It's not like they're so out? And landline phones (instead of a cordless or whatever you call them elsewhere), huh? We still use them. And I'm young...

I wish landlines would make a comeback. It is so anticlimactic when I call peoples' cell phones and they can't slam the phone down in my ear. lol
