I had been thinking of opening another cafe but it took a while.

I am making Christmas cookies today but would love to see some Christmas Lights. Some years my daughter and i do a drive through the city just looking at Christmas lights. I have a list - gotten from Facebook - where the best light displays are in my area. I'm staying away from posting religious ones which I normally take and put on Christmas cards but here is one from Boston Ma USA IMG_1306.JPG Some from my area chritmas 2.jpg

And my favorite from 2020

I call it Audios 2020

Some questions:
1) do you like Christmas Lights? I won't be able to tour to see lights until next weekend but I love t see the lights while I drive
2) Since Christmas lights are big in the US do other countries celebrate with lights?
3) What are your plans for this weekend? I am making Christmas cookies since I can't get much else for presents. I hope I don't eat them before I have to give them away!
4) What is your fav Christmas movie? I like the HOLIDAY where two women exchange living quarters (one from LA and the other from England) and predictably fall in love with their soul-mates. I'm such a girl.

@Dante can you supply some facts? You do so well.

Please tag. others to come and have some cookies and hot chocolate

Thank you for opening and tagging me @cymbele .

1. I really like Christmas lights. I went by myself last year to one of those drive thru places. I need grandchildren ๐Ÿ˜„

2. I went to where I grew up to a boyfriends house this weekend. I picked up lobsters up for us and our 2 friends. It's a 2 hour drive for me but it beats sitting home.

I watched "It's a Wonderful Life" this week for the first time in a gazillion years. Donna Reed was so young! I liked the Holiday movie as well, top of the list.
Not having a good day today so for tomorrow I am planning on going and working out and maybe making a chocolate mousse cake.
Most everyone on this street puts up lights and usually starting the week of Thanksgiving so I get to look out my windows and see them every night.

Thought Iโ€™d pop in and enjoy a cookie and hot chocolate. Although I donโ€™t feel Christmasy at all. We have the tree up and Iโ€™m getting ready for the family to come to me on Christmas Day but I am not at al feeling the Christmas vibe.

1/2. I think I do like lights. Fairly big here in the uk as well.
3. Nothing much. Trying to just stop for a while. Perhaps try to tidy the house a bit tomorrow.
4. Probably Muppets Christmas Carol. That or The Polar Express.

Hope everyone is ok this weekend. Xx

I happen to quite enjoy seeing the lights and creativity that people come up with, but I like pretty and pleasing looking things.

Being lazier than normal. :)

My favorite is not a movie but the short 1960s cartoon How The Grinch Stole Christmas. He does get it when the Whos don't need presents to celebrate and as the story goes: "He puzzled and puzzed till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. Maybe Christmas, he thought... doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps... means a little bit more!" And then even the old Grinch heart grew three sizes that day.

Now I will admit that it is awfully hard to beat Die Hard for a Christmas movie complete with some action! LOL

Heyy tysm for making a cafe @cymbele and for tagging me, so happy there's a new cafe w/ some fun q's in it, I will answer them now & tag some more people to come here even though it was made a few days ago now :p

1) do you like Christmas Lights?
Yup, they're nice but when there's a ton of them it can be a bit blinding at times (never been to Vegas but from movies & pix it kinda reminds me of the neon row thing lol)

2) Since Christmas lights are big in the US do other countries celebrate with lights?
Lol yup pretty sure Christmas lights are used in lots of countries, it's a fun part of the holiday and a nice way to decorate for it imo :)

3) What are your plans for this weekend?
Weekend is over now but didn't get up to much and didn't have much in the way of "plans". Mostly played games.

4) What is your fav Christmas movie?
Aw this one is DAMN hard cos I have at least a few faves. Ok it's kind of a tie between "The Santa Clause" and "Home Alone", can't really pick between those 2 I like them both for the different but fun stories they have. In Home Alone I love imagining what it would be like to live in such a big family in a nice mansion like they did and being so rich to be able to go to Paris for the holidays. The Santa Clause is cos I've always been a fan of Tim Allen and think he's really funny in it. Also I love how they made all the elves kids and how nice they made the north pole look, oh and the music is great in both these movies too. They are both just really well done Christmas movies that capture the wonder of the spirit of Christmas well I think :)

Now for some pic sharing lol :) ;)

@cymbele
Thanks for the tag.
(1) Yes, I enjoy Christmas lights. In my neighborhood, it's unique that many of the Lights display Marvel superheroes, i.e., Spiderman and Elastic-Man (stretching his neck nine feet!).
(2) Yes, I know that Japan displays Christmas Lights but since most of the Japanese are Buddhists, they don't focus on the baby in the manger but instead on Santa Claus.
(3) Since I live alone, I have to go to somebody else's place for festivities. I'll probably visit my friend, although I hesitate, because he is a hoarder, so there is hardly any elbow room in his claustrophic unit. To go to his restroom, I have to walk sideways. And because of the clutter, his place has hardly any breathable air! But he's the Only friend that welcomes me whenever I visit. So whatever.
(4)Favorite Christmas film is not a movie but instead a TV episode of Twilight Zone. It's called "NIght of the Meek." It's about a pitiful alcoholic who has a job playing Santa Claus at a department store. His alcoholism gets him into trouble, but a miracle happens.
