I stayed home yesterday (my Christmas day), mum was sick so it has been postponed for when she is better.
Tammy and I just relaxed for the day.

Merry Christmas to those celebrating!

Day at home today with family. Football on the tv now, struggling to stay awake. Kids had me up *early*. I’ve eaten too much food. I’m feeling surprisingly relaxed in spite of a couple of really bad moments in the day, so I’m pleased about that.

I'll jump in although the day is within 4 hours of being over. I had a busy couple of days having made plans to be busy during these days to avoid being mopey and lonely. But I remember yesterday sitting alone and feeling content and thinking that I didn't need to be busy with people - I was ok if I didn't have others and I would still be ok. But I'm glad I went out and made a few new friends today. And I get to sleep in tomorrow morning (except for the cat feeding time!)

I went to midnight Mass. Watching a Christmas movie now. Been by myself. No calls from family yesterday or today. Some presents under my tree. Haven't opened them yet. I enjoy looking at them where they are, still wrapped.

I hope that have had as great a Christmas as can possibly be. Mine was quite tame, lazy and laid back with me doing very little except laying about the house.

Christmas night here, now the feeling is it's almost the end of 2023.
Stayed in on this cold, rainy day today. I tried to ignore the negative events of this year, while acknowledging the sorrow.
Today I'm not alone and am grateful.
Listened to music, opened a couple of presents, pretty much took it easy, except for some baking.

thanks for the tag @Searchingforhope ! My Christmas was pretty chill--I'm home from college for the holidays so I spent time with my family. My mom gave me some stuff that was my grandma's since she passed recently, and that was sweet. The past few nights I've had some moments where the depression/suicidal thoughts have been a little more intense, so that's been tough. Besides that, I'm doing okay right now--just trying to breathe through those low moments until they pass.

I had work on Christmas Day, but been off since. Back in on Friday.
