Thank you for the tag. Hands down without a doubt 5 is what draws me in. It's so peaceful, tranquil, enchanting. The colors are calming to me. The light of the fireflies are comforting with warmth. It feels inviting.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day today. Those who get to see the eclipse, enjoy. You can also have a chance to see the Devil's Comet as well 😊

Thanks for the tag @JMG
I'll pick the zebra picture. Something about the gold swirls in the background is very alluring.
We're supposed to get about 97% coverage here in Pittsburgh, but it's also most likely going to be cloudy (as usual). Erie is in the path of totality, not terribly far from here; it's a little over 2 hours to drive. I was supposed to have class late this afternoon, but my professor cancelled, so I have a rare day completely off. No work or school. Considering taking the turntable my coworker gave me that she had lying around in to the repair shop to see if it's broken and if there are any parts that need replaced.

The eclipse is frustrating. 3 hours north is where totally will occur and the roads were jammed yesterday and this morning. All will head home tonight. I’m working because of my vacation last month , no one to go with and I don’t want to deal with the traffic. I have unapproved glasses. I can go to the parking lot at work to a 90% eclipse. Fair skies today. I won’t be alive to see the next one (50 years from now) but I have a good job. I can see some of it and should see some of it on tv.
I didn’t look at the collage but I will look later after the eclipse

Hey everyone, thought I'd open the cafe for today. The solar eclipse will be happening today in North America (parts of Canada, USA and Mexico) so I thought I'd make it part of the "theme" for today. I also have another "pick a pic" collage I put together that doesn't have anything to do with the eclipse (if you aren't interested in it, lol) so feel free to pick whichever pic is your "fave" from these 6 pics :) To those who will be viewing the eclipse today - please enjoy and also, stay safe! :) I'm not living in a part of the country/continent where there will be "totality" (path of totality, hilarious to me that it's initials spell out "pot" lol) but will still at least get to see a "partial" eclipse here.

good afternoon @JMG - for best pic in a supporting role, my choice...
its a tie.... 1, 2, 3, and 5.

Thanks for the tag and if you noticed i was suggesting a visit to an important café of this past november, jtm, i did also say visit here. by my thinking 2 cafés are twice as good as one. now (since i've already been to november for breakfast, i'll grab a lunch here - maybe a cheese burger or better still a kale salad.

fyi, i do want to take a look at the eclpse but i have no protection for the eyes so i'll probably use my memory of many many years ago.

hi everyone. Happy Eclipse day. ;p

Here, it was cloudy all day. I love clouds so that's alright with me, but no one got to see even a partial eclipse around this area.

Number 4 and 6 are my fav's. I love water, and I think that is intended to be a corgi swimming and smiling in a pool, and number 6 is a water dog or otter. 💙

Thanks @JMG.

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to reply here, to those who picked a fave pic/pics, and also to those who posted some pics from the eclipse! 😮😃🥰😍❤️ I love all those pics so much, they are priceless to me cos we didn’t get to see any of it here cos of it being a cloudy, rainy day. Was only gonna be partial here anyway (being on the west coast of Canada) but had hoped it would be a sunny/clear day. Was just as well I guess cos I was quite tired so was able to get some more sleep instead. Watched the 3hr long NASA coverage of it that was really neat, started in Mexico, then showed it happening in the different states, one was at Niagara Falls but on the US side, not Canada (it wasn’t visible much there cos of clouds, seemed like it got dark a bit though) and then showed the final place in the US that it was in totality. In Mexico and most of the US it was clear for it so that was great since not being able to see that “totality” like that woulda sucked so bad, but ya getting to see it in “pictures” taken was neat cos for the most part I only got to experience it with the telescope parts NASA did. Anyway it looks like it was truly amazing and it was surreal seeing how it got dark in all those places like that but only for less than 5 mins til it was back to being the rest of the “regular” daylight.

Anyway also wanted to say ty to MrB for doing more tags like that, lol it was funny at first (before I actually “clicked” to come in here to see the replies a bit ago) when I saw there were 2 pages I was like oh yay soo many replies to read and maybe people really liked the collage and/or the “eclipse” cafe sign I put together (or at least, liked that it was part of the theme for it today) but then saw like 5 of the posts were those “tag” posts ha but I am deeply grateful to all those who replied so thank you all, glad people did seem to like the collage pics and theme, and yes, happy Eclipse day (even though it’s almost over, lol) ;):)
