Cool cafe!

1. Do you like flowers?
I love flowers ❤️

2. What is/are some of your fave flowers?
I don't think there are any that I don't like. Some of my favourites are peonies, jasmine, sweet peas, lavender and roses.

3. Do you like gardening?
Yes, I can happily spend all weekend gardening (although I hate mowing the lawn!)

4. What are your fave kinds of plants?
I love exotic, structural plants - palms, grasses, ferns etc. I've planted a banana palm this year which is growing like crazy. I'd really love a tree fern but they're crazy expensive.

5. What are your fave kinds of trees?
Olive trees. They're just so old and gnarly.
I Spotted this one in Greece last year, they think it's around 4,500 years old!

I'm feeling sad today (although the flowers have cheered me up). I can't believe it's been nearly two months since my mother passed away, I'm missing my brother, not being able to drive because of my TIA is driving me nuts, I'm bored of working from home and I'm lonely * Pity party*

1. Yes indeed I do.

2. Shasta Daisies, gardenia, frangipani, & lots of others.

3. Honestly not all that much. I like the designing part, lol. I like arranging rocks & laying out paths but would leave the planting & weeding to others if I could. I do not like lawnmowers. I wish I could get rid of my lawn because it is so water intensive & so much work for no result.

4. Bottlebrush shrubs, lemon myrtle. ferns, lilac shrubs, Japanese maples, pothos, all herb plants, succulents, all house plants except cactus, etc. If I was wealthy I'd have lots & lots.

5. Eucalyptus, Japanese Maple, Oak, Spruce, ficus trees & norfolk island pines, Sequoia gigantia, bay trees, Morton Bay Fig <3 I think trees are maybe some of the best things about Earth.

Very much!

2. What is/are some of your fave flowers?
Wild flowers: “spring beauties” — those are the flowers in my avatar; trout lilies because I love the mottled leaves; Eidelweiss from Switzerland — alpine flowers, you have to love something that blooms above the tree line!
Cultivated flowers: freesia for their scent; tulips because they represent spring to me; roses…sometimes; pansies — they look happy; sunflowers with deep yellow and orange-burgundy petals; portulaca because the colours are so bright and pretty

3. Do you like gardening?
Not especially. It’s hot hard work. I do like the results though. And the veggie garden I had with friends was fun to harvest.

4. What are your fave kinds of plants?
I don’t know. I like being in the woods…trees and wild flowers?

5. What are your fave kinds of trees?
Sugar maples, oaks, pine, magnolia, crab apple, and cherry trees in spring blossom, elms, chestnut…

6. On my mind is my life lately, trying to keep up friendships or a relationship that are years old or long distance. Since it's a cafe I won't get too deep 😁. Great idea for the cafe too

Absolutely. I enjoy just the beauty of nature.

2. What is/are some of your fave flowers?

My favorites when driving in the country is the mix of bluebonnets and indian paintbrushes you see along the roads, they are a great mix of colors.

No green thumb here.

Edible ones. LOL I do pick poke sallet and dandelion greens for meals at times.

No real favorite but I am happy with any shade tree.

5. What are your fave kinds of trees? I have a rose of Sharon tree in my front yard. Probably a mistake but it blooms in August during the heat of the summer.


And my tree is blooming! I don't have a recent picture.

I like taking pictures of flowers. I also like manipulating them with Photoshop.

1. Do you like flowers? yeah! I do quite a bit.
2. What is/are some of your fave flowers? Chrysanthemum and Jasmine. I love Jasmine tea, and the smell of real Jasmine, so much.
3. Do you like gardening? Gardening was one of my favorite hobbies! Now I live in a small studio apartment, so I don't have room for them, but someday when I get a house I want to have a beautiful back/front yard with all kinds of plants and flowers.
4. What are your fave kinds of plants? I like succulents a lot, Plumbago, Blue chalksticks, Firesticks, Totem pole cactus, Aloe varieties, Blue Agave, Purple Heart or Wandering Jew, Red Lantana, Mexican Bird of Paradise, Bouganvillia, (Mainly I'm only familiar with what grows in the desert)
5. What are your fave kinds of trees? Shrubs are cool, Mesquite trees (the ones with dark flakey trunks that have light cream colored bean pods all over them, Ash tress are cool, they have eyeballs on the trunks, Maple, Willows, of course Pine trees..

Hoping everyone is having an okay week. So far mine has been a roller coaster.. Im okay today.. I started taking Prozac for now.. day 4. Gas prices seem to have gone down a little bit huh? I wish rent would too....

Desert flowers, such as below.

Used to as a kid... maybe will again if I ever have a garden.

Sagebrush, evergreens.

Pines and other evergreens.

Just some desert flowers from a spring bloom years ago... wishing to get back out there at some point (and perhaps living there as well).

2. What is/are some of your fave flowers? Daffodils, Peonies, Clematis, Giant Asiatic Lilies, Matilija poppy

3. Do you like gardening? Yes...help my husband who is the real gardener...

4. What are your fave kinds of plants? Have to say can't pick one... miss having vedetable garden and fresh cucumbers and tomatoes especially

5. What are your fave kinds of trees? Coulter Pines (huge pinecones), Cherry, Jacaranda, Manzanita

Well that's a harder one... life for me has had its challenges this year so coming to terms with some significant losses (mother in law, brother in law, dog, job), realities of my mental health (recent in patient, out patient, new therapist), still working on wrapping up my father's estate going on two years, job searching at 59 (last "cold" interview was 1997), and re-finding/defining a sense of purpose. But despite all of this... knowing that the SF family is here is what gives me the hope and belief that despite it all I am not alone in this and have met incredible people whom I admire and appreciate along the way.
