What's something nice that happened to you sometime?
Someone bought me a new dolphin cushion! It's a metre long - nearly as wide as my bed... when this thing is over I hope to get my name embroidered on it. And I'm sorta thinking that I'd love to sew myself an even bigger one. Not going to happen but a nice dream.

Come join @Walker @shania (you're back!) @1964dodge @Flowerdream @Fleurise @AFlower @Citizen Insane @Sunspots @sinking_ship

Please being everyone along...

My answers to the 2 q's :) (Will also post a collage of my kitty I made at the end of this) ;)

1. What is something positive you can do or did today?
Make myself go out even though I don't feel like it cos has been a few days since I went out anywhere & also it's a fairly nice day (nicer than yesterday at least). Something positive I already did was eat some veggies even though I didn't really want to lol.

2. What's something nice that happened to you sometime?
Lots of things, my friend bought me some very thoughtful Xmas presents last Xmas, has made me dinner lots, picked up dinner for me last night, was understanding when I changed our plans yet again and didn't end up going over there cos of being so tired, my mom said she'd buy me a passport whenever I decide I'd like to get one (no point right now since the place I want to go I have to get some serious $ saved for first), my sis sent me an email, all the kind messages of loving, caring supportive encouragement I've gotten on here from various people, when I am the first one to PM someone and they reply back and are also interested in talking more to me, the other day when I went to Wendy's to get some lunch & the restaurant part of it was closed but then this lady waiting in the drive-thru line asked what I wanted & that she'd get it for me, I had thought she intended to get the $ from me after so I had it ready to give to her but then she said no it was ok & ok part of the reason was cos of her being paranoid about covid (she said that was part of the reason) but still I thought that was incredibly nice of her considering I was a complete stranger to her! Ya that was prob. one of the nicest things a stranger ever did for me it was very surprising but I was very grateful for it :)

Ok here's the collage I made of my lil kitty (her name is Bella) :)

I had to go get some food today so had to get the bus. As I got to the back there was a women's purse on the seat I obviously checked inside to see any contact details. There was a driving license 2 bank cards family pictures and £482. I looked up her address I walked for over 1 hour and 20 minutes. I'm not good with walking at the moment with a health problem my fatigue goes pretty quick etc. Anyway I got to her house knocked on she opened the door she looked upset. I asked are you Mrs etc she said yea and I gave her the purse poor girl broke in tears she told me she honestly don't care about the cash cards its the photos she wanted she told me there the only pictures she has of her grandson he died in a car accident when he was 2 I got tear in my eyes saying I'm sorry.

Sorry long. She tried giving me £50 to say thank you told her no thanks just glad I found it others might be different and kept it all and use your cards. She gave me a hug still trying not to tear up and said thank you. Thank you for reading it I know its long..

we have an elderly neighbor and her kids don't visit much. well we are going to the store tomorrow and offered to do her shopping. she is a kind older woman that's very sweet. she gave us her list wich is under $20 i think so i told her we would pay for the groceries. she was so happy i could tell over the phone she was in tears. like i said to her no big deal it's neighbor helping neighbor. there is so much good coming from people i thought i could do my part small as it is. so i'm sure she smiled, i know i did...mike...*hug

1. What is something positive you can do or did today?
I talked to my sister and will start cooking for the week (meal prep) right now. I just woke up (5pm)but the day isn't over!

2. What's something nice that happened to you sometime?

Being tagged here was nice! ^^
The weather outside here is very nice. Only 85 degrees (it gets to 115) so its a very nice, cool breeze, windy type of spring. My favorite *yes4 I will try to get my bike fixed so I can enjoy it tomorrow!❤

the poetry reading meetup was the positive thing for today. it was nice listening to poems. the poetry meetups i’ve attended before are for the poetry written by the members. this meetup was for work by published poets. I read a poem called Cargoes by John Masefield. it is a poem that traumatized me when i had to recite it in high school. wondering, does this mean i actually can confront that which traumatized me? and actually the meetup started a little earlier than the actual meetup began because i got to read a poem/song by YKW right here on SF 😍.

What's something nice that happened to you sometime?
hmm, this is a hard question. i know nice things have happened but right now i am thinking that i can’t think of anything and food comes to mind and that seems so... well, i guess basic and like it doesn’t really count. then this popped into my mind. it was my interview for college many years ago, for the school - of all the schools i really wanted to go to the most. the school was in the midwest so they sent someone to new york to interview the new york applicants who could not make the trip to the midwest. the thing is, even though i responded and made the appointment, when i arrived at the hotel where the interviewer was conducting the interviews, they did not have me on the list. no idea why that happened, but of course they interviewed me anyway. then i went home a bit concerned about how this event unfolded. that’s part 1. now part 2.

my mother told me that when you have applied to colleges, you will know right away when the letter comes if you have been accepted without even opening the letter. if it is thick you have been accepted. if it is thin you have been rejected. i applied to 7 colleges and the first letter was thick and yes, i was accepted. that college was my third choice. ...all the forms i’d have to fill out. then the next letter to arrive was thin thin. and of course i was rejected. didn’t want to go there anyway!!!. so now i understood completely what my mother meant. then the college i was interviewed for... the only interview i went to... and the college that was by far my first choice... the letter arrived. the envelope was thin thin thin. i was immediately broken hearted and terrified and could not think of how i was going to handle this horrible situation. i knew i had to open the envelope so i did. “we are delighted to inform you that you have been accepted...” hey mom!! wtf!!! 😻👽💥😀
