Thanks for the tag @KM76710

I don't know if I could describe 100% what they mean, but I always found some of the lines from the song "Julie" by Jens Lekman pretty hopeful: "They said we'd hit the bottom, but the cherry trees are still in blossom." It reminds me of the beautiful and very hopeful song I heard in a dream once (that doesn't actually exist as a real song unfortunately): "Soon it will be spring." I've thought of getting a tattoo of one or both.

You might not understand why I posted this, but I used to think everything in the world was shit, and someone pointed out to me how wonderful dragonflies were. No matter how much you may hate yourself your eyeball is amazing, that's nature for you. Beautiful but cruel, wonderful and harsh, a world full of opposites, so although I knew the world was shit, I realised it was also wonderful.

It can be a struggle at times to take care of ourselves…. Physically, emotionally…… I do t always act “right, or do “right”. I don’t always treat myself and others around me with kindness.
I have felt more blessings and shown kindness and compassion in animals and nature around me than I could even imagine I could ever feel.
Trying to look at a situation from another point of view even in the worst of times when you can’t see anything but negative darkness can slowly start changing the way you act and react towards life and obstacles you go through.
Someone I knew in passing adopted a small pup from a shelter and a few weeks later realized she could not give attention he needed. I offered to foster the pup. My mom passed less than a month later. I barely got out of bed the following few months and made my bed my home. This pup,who barely knew me….. who was a very active pup would stay with me in my bed didn’t matter how long… long enough to where I started worrying more about the pup and basic needs of potty and food. I could care less about me but I started caring !
Caring about the needs of this pup.
Never would leave my side unless I got up.
Having these worry and emotions about another when I could give a crap about myself made me realize I still did have a will to live and as well had longing for another’s well being. Didn’t see it at the time but I was actually finding a purpose. This purpose was caring for another but at same time I had to start treating myself right so I could help another.
These little miracles come in so many shapes and forms and to each individual it is unique for them. We don’t always know at the time the actions we choose … even in small little steps that seem like nothing is changing… the wheels are in motion and it’s setting us up for a smoother ride to finding that hope yet again. Just because you can’t feel it or see it at the moment doesn’t mean your in the same dark place as you were the day before.
